It seemed that it was Amphi's lucky day, as the one Xiu would often refer to as 'aniki' came on down the stairs to head on out. The one eyed reaper looked about as how he normally did, complete with his neutral-almost-glaring default expression.

With his hands in his pockets, he casually made his way towards the door, though he noticed someone waiting around in the common room as he walked through. Pausing, he gave her a look, seeing that it was Amphi, the mermaid Lizzy had introduced him to at the Yearbook booth thing. He didn't really think anything of her waiting here.

After all, she was probably waiting for some reaper friend of hers at the moment. And so, he just started to continue on his way.

Shun could hear some hurried steps heading in his direction. When he also heard Amphi's voice address him, he paused and turned towards her, raising an eyebrow at both the 'mr. Shun' and at the fact that the girl looked like she was blushing madly. He didn't really know what this was all about.

"... Yes?" he asked, waiting for her to continue with whatever it was she wanted.

She looked nervous. Granted, he couldn't really tell if it was because of him or if something else was going on around here.

Shun stared at the mermaid, raising an eyebrow as she.. requested to meet him? It was an odd request, especially since she was standing right in front of him.

"Just Shun is fine," he started, addressing the odd 'Mr. Shun' she was saying. The Mr. part was a tad unnecessary as far as he was concern.

"Whether I'm really that good or not is debatable," he murmured, "However, she is my adoptive little sister yes. And I do have time right now..."

This all felt a bit awkward.

"I have my reasons," Shun said plainly before waiting to see what else she wanted to say. Nodding quietly to her, he turned to make his way to the outdoors so that they may speak outside with a little walk.

"Nothing is stopping you from asking," he replied, not entirely answering her question if he minded answering them. It really depended on what questions were asked. He wasn't entirely accustomed to just chatting it up with people either. The ones he had gotten close to were easier to speak with, but idle chatter still didn't really come to him all too naturally.

"Though, exactly what warranted this sudden interest in me again?" he asked. It wasn't really everyday where someone just felt like they should get to know him.

Dear Jack the questions came streaming out like an endless river. She wasn't kidding when she said she tended to ask a lot of questions, but even then he sort of underestimated it. Shun sighed inwardly. Never. Underestimate. He wasn't even sure if he caught all those questions. The Reaper took a moment to think it over so he could get his answers together.

"18. Grim. I ran into her. I fight well enough. Yes. Yes. Many things. It means 'big brother'. And no," he replied, keeping each of his answers terse.

"You are her best friend then?" he asked. He actually didn't really know that bit. He didn't catch some of these things at times.

As far as her answer was, it seemed reasonable enough he supposed. There was certainly merit in wishing to keep Xiu safe.

"Generally speaking, I can," Shun said. Granted, it depended on which enemies they were talking about. Ones like Titus were dealt with well enough. The hunters were a completely different matter altogether. Soon though, he twitched as she said he looked kind of skinny. Well, he might not have much body fat, but he wasn't really skinny! At least as far as he was concerned. It was just lean muscle.

"It's Japanese. It's... neither," he said before pausing to stare at the mermaid with his good eye. He did not like to admit his weakness to anyone, so he just didn't answer those two questions. If she wanted to know, she was going to have to find out some other way.

"I see. You say you aren't much of a fighter. I would suggest training. If you don't like violence, it is still important to know how to defend yourself. Otherwise, you can focus on how to heal. Provide first aid," he suggested.

The reaper raised an eyebrow as things went back to the topic of his.. adopted family sort of.

"I didn't. She adopted me. Apparently I seemed like a brother to her. I don't understand it completely. You'll have to ask her."

Shun eyed Amphi at the question regarding getting a kick to the nuts.

"It hurts. Like hell."

It was all he offered on the matter. He didn't want her to be getting any ideas to test it out. Shaking his head to himself, he faced forward again so he could keep walking along. The Reaper did raise an eyebrow when she repeated 'Japanese'. Sort of.

"It's a relatively old language."

The next bit of info caused him to glance back towards the mermaid. Unable to hurt? It was good to hear that she was training with Hel. The valkyrie was rather capable.

"You can't or you won't? There's a difference."

Being physically unable to harm someone and being unable to bring oneself to do so were two completely different matters. The former was much easier to 'fix'. The latter seemed like an odd concept to him. Violence happened. Especially with the recent events. But, at least the mermaid was capable of healing. Regardless, she could likely focus on that aspect.

".... You could say that," he said in reply to if he had family outside of the school. He did. But his standing with his father or his men was not too good right now. It had always been on the shaky side of things at best.
