Jazz stretched as he walked along the path. It was a bright, calm day out, which was perfectly fine for the mini Zune, but it was also a bit... boring. He hadn't run into anyone else all day even though he was headed for an area of town where he could find some of his favourite stores and restaurants. Maybe it was still too early in the morning?
He stopped for a moment and peered into a puddle. His hair was kind of a mess from his walk, so he reached up and tried his best to fix it.

Another beautiful... Another day- alone. Well, Aeros wasn't ALWAYS alone. But it always felt that way. His parents were constantly bickering, never showing him or his brother any spec of love. Him and his brother always did things together, but it wasn't the same. They seemingly did the same things over and over and over again. Which, in all honesty, got quite boring.
But being alone meant he could take this moment to 'escape' this terrible reality. With that in mind, he mindlessly walked out of the pharmacy where he had went. He was out of pills, so he had went to get more. A full bottle. Just what he needed. Without a care in the world he took a seat next to a wall and opened the bottle. Areos poured the pills out onto a piece of paper he brought along and began counting. He made sure to NEVER overdose, and to always take enough to where he would be at least numb.
"One... Two... Three..." the black mini-male began to count. Five a day is what he needed to be numb. Being numb... Was all he was good at.

While he made himself more presentable, he listened as a door nearby opened and shut. Curious, he looked up at the sign and then turned to take a peek at the Zune who had just stepped out. A fellow male mini, with dark fur spotted with a charming pattern of rainbow pastel spots.
Jazz turned away again and finished with his hair. Then he noticed that the other Zune hadn't left yet. Instead he had stopped near the wall and was counting out pills. Huh, that was a little strange, wasn't it? Usually they came with dosage instructions and said how many were in there right on the bottle...
Wondering if he should intervene, Jazz approached Aeros and peered down at the paper. "Couldn't wait until you got home?" He asked, meaning to interrupt Aeros' count.

The voice of another speaking to him had completely threw him off. His head quickly shot up to look at Jazz. Jazz really WAS talking to him. This definitely was something very new to Aeros. Usually, everyone goes about their business, leaving Aeros to his pills. Totally lost at what to say or what to even do, he quickly gathered the pills back into the bottle to assure he wouldn't lose any.
"No. My bother is back home. I can't let him see these. And you can't have any, either. I don't deal them to others." Aeros boldly stated as he screwed the lid back on. "Besides, i hate going home." sighing, he decided to quickly steer away from the subject this conversation was going in.
"I'm Aeros. Who are you?" The tone in his voice wasn't at all friendly, it was more suspicious than anything.

Jazz studied Aeros, a look of soft concern crossing his face. That was a little weird too, trying to hide the pills, wasn't it? He wasn't sure if it was right to pry into this stranger's life and the way Aeros answered him told him that it probably wasn't the best idea.
"Sorry, I don't mean to be nosey," he apologized with a slight bow. "Name's Jazz. Nice to meet you, Aeros." His tone was much friendlier, and he ended by looking back up with a small smile.

He shrugged. It wasn't that Jazz had seemed nosy, it was just that he didn't want to give a story of woe-is-me to the stranger. With a sigh he began rolling the bottle of pills under his paw, the pills inside making a rattle-like noise. The noise soothed him a bit.
"Nice to meet you too, Jazz..." He stopped rolling the bottle and looked down and away from Jazz. Aeros had no clue what to do right now. He wanted to leave but at the same time... He wanted the attention this stranger was giving him. Aeros never really talked to others, he only hid.

A silence followed that threatened to become... awkward. Jazz fidgeted, not wanting that to happen. So he tried his best to relax, breathing deeply and letting it out calmly, a happy expression on his face. He held himself in a relaxed manner, facing the sunlight peeking around the building and letting the beams of light cross his face.
"Well, it seems like it's going to be a nice day today, eh?" The weather. Kind of a lame topic, but it was safe. "We've had enough rain, lately." He gestured to the puddle that he had used as a makeshift mirror, and continued. "Finally a day that might be nice to spend around town. Do some looking around, you know."

Aeros glanced up to the sky. It was a rather nice day... Was everyday like this? Sunny, bright and warm? He had never really paid much attention to the weather. "Rain..." he looked to the puddle Jazz pointed out. So it WASN'T always sunny? "So uh... The weather. It changes?" He had no idea how stupid this question had sounded.
He just never really paid attention to much. Just his brother, pills and other drugs. This world never really existed to him, just his own. Looking back to Jazz, he pinned his ears back. "Looking around...? At... What?"

Jazz grinned good-naturedly, amused by Aeros and happy he was taking an interest in what he was saying. It sounded like Aeros didn't go out much.
"Yeah, it changes... Quite often, in fact," Jazz said with a chuckle. "But a day like today can be a rare treat." He nodded.
"Oh, you can look around at... well.. a lot of things! There are stores that sell anything you could imagine, um... cafes where you can stop for a snack... or if you want something more filling, there are all kinds of restaurants. But if you don't want to spend money, there's always parks and stuff you can check out. It can be fun to just relax outside." Jazz explained, nodding again. "That might not even be everything..."

He listened to the other male with slight curiosity. Lots of things to check out? Really? That was a new concept to Aeros. But the question is... Is something like that worth spending time on? It would take away from him doing his things he would normally do on a daily basis. Perhaps trying something new, just for today, wouldn't hurt... Right?
"Not everything? But that's already a lot of things..." Scratching his head, he pondered. Maybe he should try some of these things with his brother sometime. He definitely wouldn't do them alone. And it didn't even cross his mind to ask Jazz to show him some of the things he had mentioned. His mind was just too distant.
He sighed. "Well... Maybe i can ask my brother to do some things with me. Those actually sound interesting..."

"Heheh, well that might be it. I'm not sure what all there is." Jazz admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "I usually just hang out at a cafe down the street from here... But I know there's some of the stuff I mentioned along the way."
Jazz moved a stray part of his hair out of his face, glancing down the street, then back to Aeros. "It must be nice to have family to spend time with, huh? I'm not really doing anything so... I can show you some places, if you'd like. Maybe you can take your brother to one of them later," Jazz finished with a smile.

"Just my brother..." He said almost quickly as the other male mentioned something about it being great to have family to spend time with. "My parents don't love us, they don't even love each other." He gave a snort and quickly answered his question to possibly distract Jazz from what he had just said.
"Okay, that sounds interesting to me. And i guess if i like it, it'll give me a reason to ask him to go..."

Jazz's ears flattened. Such a shame... why would two Zunes who didn't love each other have children? He couldn't imagine what the purpose of doing such a thing would be, especially when that meant they would be joined forever. Minus the ones who had the "software", or course...
Trying not to pry, he looked guiltily at Aeros and latched onto his answer. "Yeah, uh, if you don't like them then you can just leave. No hard feelings." He stood up and crossed his paw over his chest. "Promise."
Then he turned his attention down the street. "I'll take you to the cafe first. Since it's closest." He took a few first steps forward, then looked back to check if Aeros was even still interested in following.

The offer of him leaving if he didn't like the place sunk in. Would it really be okay if he did such a thing? If he left he would be alone with his 'precious' pills. alone... He was always alone - Unless his brother was around of course.
"I'll try to enjoy it... Promise." He promised back to Jazz, but without the heart-crossing. Part of him wanted to chase Jazz away, but the other part wanted to be his friend.
Aeros watched as the other walked, tail waving. It surprised him a bit when he stopped to look back at him. Quickly, he moved forward to Jazz, looking ahead of them. "So, it's not that far?"
