Rin was back in the labs again, the first time since leaving the infirmary. She honestly couldn't seem to stay away long. The shiny interesting instruments, the strange almost unpredictable creatures, even that soft distant hum of computer fans and electricity through equipment.
It was of some comfort to the woman, but it was also a major bone of contention. She had a talk with Edith and it gave her a better idea at least how to... approach the subject. But, the person with which the subject was to be shared had to be found first...

Things had been a little frustrating for Sasha lately.
The interaction with Candace had turned into something entirely awkward, and while Sasha felt bad for the whole thing, she wasn't sure what she could have done to make things turn out differently.
And Rep. Rep - Sasha wasn't really sure what she done to incite his ire, but she was gunning for him now. She hadn't told the doctor what had happened; Sasha had apologized profusely, and he'd been too distracted with his notes to press for information.
There was also Jerry.
Today Sasha found herself in the labs, cleaning. Sweeping, mopping, anything to keep her mind from wandering to thoughts of the expression on Candace's face when she'd walked out of the room - the way Rep's laugh had sounded - and Jerry.

Rin passed from room to room until she finally entered the one Sasha was i--- and nearly slipped and fell on her a** from a wet floor. Thankfully the door frame was there and she caught it to halt her descent.
Oh. Busy?
No.
"Sasha!" she called cheerily to the woman, "What are you doing?"

Sasha jumped visibly when she heard Rin's voice call out her name; she'd been cleaning the same exact spot on the counter for probably ten minutes or so, zoned out and lost in her thoughts.
The dark haired woman was a welcome distraction - obviously the cleaning wasn't taking Sasha's mind off of things.
"Cleaning," Sasha smiled, "and be careful, I just mopped. You should be safe if you skirt around the edges."

Rin took her advice. Sasha's work on the floor was so thorough there was zero traction left to it. She made her way carefully over to the counter, "Wow, you are very very... good at cleaning~"
Her smile broadened, "Got some time to talk?"

"It helps keep my mind off of stuff, I guess." Sasha abandoned the small rag she'd been using before crossing her arms over her chest, an honest, genuine smile spreading across her lips.
"I always have ah.. Rin, I've always got time. For you, I mean."
Her nose wrinkled as the smile spread.

Rin mentally fought with herself a moment but ultimately lost as her face flushed a rather deep pink, "Ah-ah, thank you. I - Remember how I mentioned wanting to, uh, try life? And stuff..."
She set her jaw a bit, "I talked to Edith and she... kinda gave me an idea what I wanted to do."

Sasha was curious. Seeing Rin work out the certainties in her own career path gave Sasha the urge to lock down her own future.
Badly.
She'd never doubted that Life was the best division for her, though.

"I want to try Life." She lifted her gaze to meet Sasha's, seeking out any upset this may cause the other woman.

Sasha's smile grew even larger, if possible. Broader, brighter. She jumped in place, clapped her hands, and even went so far as to wrap her arms briefly around the other woman.
"Well, if that's what you want to do, I'm happy!"
Sasha pulled away and grasped Rin's hands, squeezing them softly.
"We can work together!"

Rin gave Sasha a large wide-eyed disbelieving stare, "But.. I thought you were... kinda... preferring I stayed moon?"
This didn't mean she didn't appreciate Sasha's eye-searing smile, dance and hug. All of which she deftly stored away in her thoughts for another time.
She squeezed Sasha's hands back, a gentle little slightly worried smile on her face as her brows raised, "Are you sure you're okay with this? I'd love to work with you too! I just want to be sure I'm... I'm... wanted. You know?"

Sasha pressed her lips together. "Not.. preferring, I mean. I just.. thought we worked um. Well together. But.. I mean, most of all, I think you should do what makes you happy, you know?"
Sasha's lips curved into a smile again.
"Wanted? Why .. why wouldn't you be wanted here in the Life division? I mean. It's pretty nice. I think it is, at least. We'll have fun!"

Rin's eyes lit up and her smile grew - consuming way too much of her face. Not that she cared, "I won't let you down Sasha! We can still work well together~ Even in the same division! We can experiment to geth-errrrr- I MEAN, do laboratory experiments together!"

Sasha chuckled softly.
"What do you.. I mean, how do you leave a division? Do you have to talk to like. Well, I don't know. Who do you have to talk to? I've never really thought about changing divisions. I like mine too much. I know .. ah, well. I feel good here, does that make sense?"
Sasha released Rin's hands and picked up the rag again.
"And how are you um. Feeling?"

"I guess I just put in for it... like. A formal request of transfer? Maybe I'm meant to talk to the Doctor now?" the look on her face turned somewhat unreadable.
The expression softened again at her following question, "It makes sense. I guess I am looking for that. I might find it in moon, I might find it in life. I wont know until I explore and find out."
She watched Sasha return to work before glancing around for another rag so she can help, "I - uhm, I'm fine now - even better after talking to you. Your support in this means a lot you know?"
Her voice lowered a bit, "It helps to have a friend there by my side. Showing me things. Assuming they even approve the transfer."
