Open Deal (Kasandra VS Mikan)

Basic Rule Overview

-Take turns attacking (fastest strikes first)
-state your asset's HP per post.

To attack
-roll 1d10 per flation rank (micro =1, mezzo =2, macro=3)
-post the flation's description
-apply utility if desired (only one per turn)
-for offensive assets add the attack bonus (+2, +4, +8, +10)

Flation Limit
-rank c gets infinite micro, 2 mezzo per battle
-rank s gets virtually infinite everything

Salmoneus: Defensive Model (C Rank)
HP: 100 SPD: 4

Microflation: Substitute - This flation deals no damage, in return, the user will receive 50% damage on the following turn with the remaining 50% dealt to the opposing Asset.

Mezzoflation: Calamity Call - Preparing for the worst-case scenario is the key to a long life. If on the following turn the user is attacked by a mezzoflation or macroflation, the highest damage roll of that attack is ignored in damage calculation.

Macroflation: Suicide Pill - a reckless attack that deals double the rolled damage; the user has to halt for a turn and will also receive double damage on the next round

Mikan looked at the girl across him and sighed. He was used to getting picked by newbies who didn't know who or what Alphas were and especially not who 'he' was. He was sure someone else would have been a smarter choice, a person with a defensive or utility model assets. They could, if they wanted to at least, go easy on the newbies. He had no much option as to that.
He took his card out and passed his fingers hastily above the moon symbol to hear the familliar by now 'Open deal' and smiled at the girl, who goes by the name Kasandra, from what he was informed by Masakaki. "Good luck" he said and hoped it didn't sound ironic, since it wasn't. At the very least, luck could maybe help her.
His Asset appeared by his side and Mikan glanced at him. He passed his fingers above his card again to hear the pretty feminine voice say 'Micro-flation, Petty Cash' and saw Betta jump at his opponent without hesitation, hoping the girl won't be too scared to continue dealing in Financial District after their fight.

Salmonius slithered beside the young blond woman, giant crystalline orb floating above the large serpents head. All she could remember at this point was somehow having picked this opponent, unaware that by picking him she would actually end up having to fight him. Her heartbeat rose with the growing tension around her. She had been so busy in the time she had arrived in the Financial District learning things about her asset, about this new world she had hoped was nothing more than a bad dream. Yet here she was face to face with a strange man and his asset and they were getting ready to bare down on them. Kasandra could feel her legs shake with fear as she licked her lips fearfully. Salmonius, Kasandra's asset had quickly explained how these 'deals' worked. Masakaki hadn't told her it was an actual fight!

Swallowing hard as she ran her fingers over the common symbol of the sun, she heard a very strange sound of yet another female echo the words 'open deal' first from her opponent then from herself. Oh this was a nightmare just waiting to swallow her up hook line and sinker. "Quickly" Salmonius hissed as the newbie pair darted directly to the left, with just enough time for Kasandra to run her fingers over the card listening to that same distinct voice ring out 'Microflation, Substitute'. Oh if she ever survived this she was going to promise herself to do more research on everyone here. She couldn't afford to be caught off guard again.

Mikan watched as the girl panicked more and more. At least, she was quick to act, which he thought it was good, for newbies. He felt bad fighting against those who couldn't even understand how to use their cards.
It was a little strange though. Even though she had just used a micro-flation, nothing had happened. The serpent-like asset was still beside her Entrés and Betta was still very fine and unharmed. It 'was' a defensive model, so it could be an ability like reducing the next incomming damage? He thought there was no use thinking about it much.
He passed his fingers over his card again, the female voice, like playing a recorded tape over again, repeated 'Micro-flation, Petty Cash'. He saw Betta's eyes shining dangerously and launching at the opponent's asset again.

This time Kasandra was more prepared dodging quickly to the right instead of continuing her path on the left. Salmoneus cringed beside her Entre' as the next wave of attack hit them though this time it wasn't as rough as the first attack had been that made it a little easier but it was still a strong attack and it still caused a good deal of pain. Clenching her teeth together still Kasandra could feel her heart racing, there was no way she was going to defeat such a strong opponent reality couldn't lie to her this time. Running her fingers over the card again as she bolted yet another direction the voice sprang out with the same attack she had used before 'Microflation, Substitute'

Green eyes darted back to her Asset hoping for strength to defeat her opponent but she was quickly let down as the green serpent continued to keep pace with her, turning to hiss when her opponents Asset collided with them. There was no way Kasandra was going to panic anymore than she already had, and at this point she was going to have to start using her head if she even had a possible chance to survive this encounter.

Something was surely strange. Not only was his attack weaker than the previous time, it seemed like Betta was hit also. Mikan was sure the opponent's asset did not move against Betta, so how did this happen? Was it the asset's microflation? If it was, what exactly did it do?
Unsure and comfused, Mikan thought there was no time to waste and activated another attack. Whatever the case, they opponent was still hurt from Betta's attacks and Betta looked very healthy still. The worst that could happen from this ability was ending the match in a tie...most probably.
The female voice spoke up again to announce his attack, which was not a microflation. He had, instead, used a mezzoflation. It wasn't that he wanted to scare her or anything, he just wanted to finish with the Deal as fast as he could. Maybe he should have used a macroflation...but that seemed a little mean, as if picking on the weak.
"You don't have to worry", he said suddenly and smiled a little. "I can't make you go bankrupt or anything".

Kasandra and Salmoneus let out a harsh noise as the powerful attack collided with the pair. Sending both the girl and her asset back towards the wall standing to the side of them. Falling to her knees in a short order gasping for air the young woman knew she had to push on, she couldn't be defeated. Pushing herself to her feet as Salmoneus simultaneously rose as well, her breathing came out heavy and short. "Salmoneus, that was a different attack." Her eyes scanned the field perhaps there was another way she could work at hitting him while he focused on her Asset.

The serpentine figure shifted immediately in front of Kasandra carefully overseeing before she hissed again. "No." Kasandra ran her fingers over her card dashing to the side as she expected to hear the familiar voice of the female something was terribly wrong.

Spinning to find her Asset frozen she couldn't help but have a surge of feeling that she had fallen to the end, bankrupt. Green eyes flashes almost angrily towards her opponent just as he had stated in such a calm manner that he couldn't make her go bankrupt. "Wasn't that the point of all this?" clutching her card tighter she ran her fingers angrily over the card. This time a different sound rang out 'Mezzoflation, Calamity Call' He was making fun of her!

Oh! Something different was finally happening. The girl has used a mezzoflation also and from what Mikan could see, the serpent-like asset had finally moved against Betta. It wasn't a very strong attack, but at least it wasn't another mystery-move.
Somehow though, the girled seemed angered. Mikan wondered if he sounded rude or ironic in any way and frowned a little. Then it came to him that since the girl was new, Masakaki maybe hadn't explained everything to her and smiled again. "In a sense, yes." he said, activating another mezzo-flation. He didn't want to scare her or anything, but he wouldn't just sit there and let Betta get harmed. "But...due to the darkspore picking on the weak, Midas decided that higher ranked Entrés can not gain anything from other Entrés that are two ranks or more below them. Likewise, low ranked Entrés can not lose anything in a fight against higher ranked opponents." He took a breath, hoping he wasn't too comfusing and that the girl would calm down a little. "I'm from the highest ranked in Midas and...I'm guessing you're just starting, so no harm done, see?"

The attack hit harder and harder the longer the fight seemed to go on, was this guy merely toying with her? Shifting to look back at Salmoneus as the large serpentine figure made her way towards Kasandra, the young woman froze another attack had already been launched this time the green snake jumped into the line of attack negating some of the effect but not all as once again the pair were knocked back off their balance. Pain shot through Kasandra's legs as found herself laying on the ground Salmoneus poised in a striking position between her and Mikan. For no harm done she sure felt a great deal of pain when the attacks hit her and Salmoneus at the same time, and dodging sure was hard. Didn't he say he was one of the elite though? one of the stronger people here? If that was the case was there a chance she could easily rise to that? Assuming he wasn't trying to lure her into a false sense of security just so he could finish her off that was.

Watching as her asset's body seemed to tighten into a spring-like curl Kasandra quickly rushed her fingers over the card and the womans voice rang out with the minimal attack 'Microflation, Substitute' "He's not wrong." Salmoneus spoke once again trying to negate their opponents attacks. "Your money isn't dispersing like it would in a normal deal."

Kasandra blinked trying to pull herself to her feet green eyes blinking at the man across from her, he was entirely correct in assuming she had just started. This was her very first 'deal' as she had learned it was called. "Right then, whats your name?" She called out across the battleground. At the very least she could find out who he was so she wouldn't make the mistake of fighting him again any time soon. That was at the very least if she couldn't remember his face, but who ever forgot the face of someone who could defeat you and walk away without a single scratch.

Mikan used another mezzoflation. This was really taking too long and not only did the girl seem kinda shaked from Betta's attacks, he was also wasting precious time here and like Masakaki would say, time is money. Besides, this was not way to converse. At least it seemed like the girl was finally getting it, or that her Asset got it and explained to her.
"Mikan" he said simply and bowed his head slightly at her. "And that's Betta" he added, pointing to his Asset. His golden eyes examined her for a bit, before he tilted his head a little to the left and smiled. "I'm sorry if I scared you. Let's finish this fight so we can talk freely".

Kasandra wasn't sure she wanted to talk this strange person in this strange world. Somehow this whole world was confusing, on a good side he at least didn't seem to want to hurt her. Once again running her fingers over her card to signal the use of another Microflation Kasandra was once again able to hold her ground through the entire attack before darting off to the right and zig zagging forward. There was no way she was going to just roll over an let him stomp on her, she had to at least fight back with what she could.

Mikan smiled. He liked that this girl wasn't just running away and hiding in ridiculous places like some other newbies. Against Offensive types, her Asset seemed more than capable and if she got someone to invest in her during her fights, it would be a nice combination. He wasn't sure how smoothly the fight would go with another Asset model, but if she picked her opponents carefully from now on, she could at the very least keep herself safe from going bankrupt.
He ran his fingers on his card as he started moving backwards slowly, so as to keep a distance between himself and the girl. Betta jumped at his opponent once again, eyes locked on the serpent and fist clenched tightly
