It was that time again, time for another hunt. Kavanna knew what she had to do. One Dragon Soul and she was an expert, or so she thought anyway. Her life was definitely heading somewhere now that she had this confidence about her. She felt like she could do anything. She was a rough 'n tumble kind of gal. That much was for sure. It wasn't long before she had finally finished packing up some of her belongings from her room at the dorms. Some of the Dovaa lived on sight and some with their parents. That was just how it went. Personally, Kavanna loved living away from her 'crazy' life back home. Being on her own in her own room provided by the school was amazing. She had no one to criticize her or tell her what to do. She was her own boss, and she wanted to keep it that way forever.
Finally, she made it to the portal inside the fortress. To Soudul this time, she thought. She wondered if she would meet any wild travelers on this journey. It was doubtful, but at least she was able to go to the dark sand infested place that she had never been to before. Her life revolved much around Dragon Hunting nowadays. Ever since Naomi gave her the confidence boost she needed.
Kav landed on the dark sandy beaches of Soudul, the dark ocean looming underfoot. The dock was dark, was it really night time? Or was Soudul just a lot darker than the rest of the world? They weren't really that far into their history books about other continents. The Dovaa's first year are mainly concerned with learning of the Dovaa continent, dragons, and the Celestial Vortex more than about the other continents.
Traveling down the sandy beaches led her to finally finding a plethora of trees. This is what she had been looking for. Forested areas were where Ysali lived, and she did want to experience the power of a Ysali once again if at all possible.
It wasn't long that her wish was soon received. There in the darkness of the forest was a little dragon. A Ysali for sure. It was feeding on some leaves and herbs, minding it's own business. The Ysali here in the Soudul region looked much different from their sisterly counterpart of Serenia. They seemed almost like different dragons completely. The Ysali here were much darker in color, and the way their horns rose, was a bit different from the ones on Serenia. Though, it was still distinctly a Ysali.
Before Kav could do anything, apparently the Ysali had sensed her presence. For he had summoned vines right behind her without her knowledge and grabbed her legs. "Ahhh!!" she screamed as the vines picked her up and the dragon quickly turned around and began hissing at her.
This wasn't even nearly the end, she thought to herself. She knew that it was only the beginning. She now had the strengths of a Ysali Dovaa. She could do whatever it took to defeat them.
Kavanna quickly grabbed the vines with vines she summoned herself and pulled them away from her feet. Falling to the ground she quickly hopped back up and sent her summoned vines toward the opponent Ysali. It grasped onto the Ysali's tail and whipped him up into the air quickly and threw him down onto the ground with such force that a crack could be heard throughout the forested area. Suddenly the dragons body turned to bone and the soul swirled about into a little orb which landed softly onto the ground next to Kavanna.
A smile beemed from ear to ear on the little Dovaa's face. She had easily beaten the little Ysali dragon. It was such a quick battle that she decided to sit down and write a bit in her journal before moving on her journey back towards the Celestial Plane.
