This is the arena where trainers come to practice their battles. If it's just a normal one-on-one battle or a double battle, it doesn't matter. The arena's terrain can change to challenge both trainer's pokemon in their ways to adapt or to test their skill. Students are always allowed to come here with or without a teacher. Plus, there is no need to worry about waiting for your turn for battles. The arena can get larger but only a select few know how to enlarge it and change the terrain.

The terrain can change into:
A pool with some floating rocks
A rocky area
A lava pool with some floating rocks
A grassy area full of bushes
Just a normal flat terrain

(If more terrains should be added please inform the captain)

The two young boys came out into an area that looked to be used for training. "Here it is! Found it!" "You knew this was here?" "Well why wouldn't there be a practice arena? Right then...everyone! Come get some fresh air!" Cynder watched as five pokeballs went up into the air, the latches opening and releasing beams of red energy. Tekay's pokemon all looked happy to be out in the open with their friends. "So what are we gonna do Tekay?" Tekay stretched, resting his hands behind his head. "I dunno...I thought we'd just have a little battle...either you against us, or we'd split into teams of three." "Teams? I can handle things myself!" None of Cynder's friends seemed to listen very confidently to his boasting. Ampharos let out a cry in response, his tail lighting up and his body sparking with electricity. "Eh? What's that, Sparky? You calling me out? Come on then! Let's go, right now!" Cynder and Ampharos both had overly-confident smirks on their faces as they stared each other down. Cynder watched his opponent's movements carefully, ready for the first attack. Tekay sighed as Ampharos and Cynder's competitive natures started a battle. Dragonair tapped her trainer's shoulder with her tail and directed her gaze to a gijinka a short distance away. "What's up Dragonair? Hm...? Who's that? You think that's a teacher?" Tekay looked at Dragonair, who met his gaze motionlessly. Tekay couldn't directly understand his pokemon, but he knew how to tell what they were feeling and what they meant to tell him most of the time. For times he found himself unable to do so, he would go to Cynder, who occasionally acted as a translator between the two groups. This was not one of those times however, he could tell Dragonair was agreeing with his hypothesis.

"Gah! Hey! What's the big idea?!" Cynder jumped back in surprise, growling irritably, focusing his attention on his attacker and getting ready to unleash a counterattack. "Cynder! What are you doing?! Fire type attacks aren't going to...!" Too late, Cynder had already launched a Fire Blast from the palm of his hand at Kiriac. "Work...very...well...ugh...Cynder, how can you NOT know your own type's effectiveness against another?" "What do you mean? It's too much work memorizing two things for each of the seventeen types!" "You're one to complain...I have to know the chart for all the types to battle effectively. And I still manage." "Exactly, see? That's why we're a team! I provide the power, and you provide the strategy!" Tekay let out an exasperated sigh and shook his head. "What happens when you're alone then? And besides, if I'm supposed to strategize for you, then you should wait and listen to me!" "Alright then, oh brilliant one, what do you recommend?!" "Well if you don't plan on being soaked soon, I suggest you use your Dig attack." Cynder hadn't thought about another attack coming at him, but since Tekay brought it up, he realized he could be in trouble. So, following Tekay's advice, Cynder leapt up into the air, extending his hand toward the ground to clear it out of the way, he just hoped he could make it underground in time.

Chikorita hesitantly made her way over to the scary gijinka, closely followed by Dragonair and Umbreon. Espeon looked a little sad to be seperated from Umbreon, but Ampharos was very excited to be getting to battle. I don't have Umbreon...? He's my closest pokemon, if not my strongest as well, and he and Espeon are a great pair...the three of us are almost like family. "Hey, Cynder, come on." Tekay called over to a hole in the ground, and Cynder quickly jumped out of it, running over to where Tekay was standing. "So what are we doing now?" "You're helping Espeon and Ampharos." Cynder nodded and looked over to the other side, where the other three pokemon stood. I gotta be wary of Dragonair, I can tell she's sore at Ampharos and I, and those water attacks will be a pain if they hit, I know that much at least... Cynder and Ampharos flinched simultaneously as they both caught a nasty glare from Dragonair. Noticing the dark look being given to the two, Umbreon shook his head. "Buree..." (Come on Dragonair, can't you let it slide for once...?) Dragonair looked down at the moonlight pokemon at her side and simply shook her head, Cynder couldn't help but smile at Umbreon. Must be hard being the leader, eh, Umbreon? You're always trying to keep us in line. Dragonair doesn't seem to respect your authority, but the others do, especially Espeon.
