He has dark, sinister tattoos all over his body, usually hidden by his cloak. They are the source of his power. He also has a scar across the bridge of his nose, but it's not usually noticeable.
Abilities/ Powers/ Magic:
Necromancy - Shunin has the ability to summon the darkness to use as a diversion, or to use any type of dark magic as long as his physical and mental state can handle it.
Summoning - Shunin can summon the dead to speak to them (though there has yet been an occasion where he only has to speak), or to use them to fight (though it's incredibly draining and the dead can't stay for long).

Personality:
Shunin is a mysterious fellow, with the power of knowledge at his fingertips, a quick wit, and a sharp tongue. Because he didn't originate from a world of light, there is a very dark side to him; a side that revels in ripping things apart and likes to bathe in the blood of his enemies. But because he was taken in by Adelaide, he forced himself to bury that part of him so he can become a good enough adviser for her; one that didn't want to hunt down her people all the time. Shunin isn't normally a loyal or trusting person, but his loyalties lie with Adelaide, and Adelaide alone.
He takes his job very seriously, though most of the time he has a dry sense of humor. He's very responsible, and doesn't shy away from any of his duties, or anything that his queen wishes for him to do.
Likes:
Staying in the background or the shadows, not being pointed out, midnight, nights with full moons, nights where the sky is just a navy colored blanket speckled with stars, keeping his face hidden.
Dislikes/ Hates:
People reminding him of his birthright, race, or demons, monsters who think they're above everyone else, outrageously stupid living beings.
History/ Bio:
In truth, Shunin can't really remember how he was 'conceived', if he was ever 'born' in the human sense. He isn't sure what happened to his parents, if he ever had parents; his earliest memories is fighting, staining his hands and clothes crimson with the blood of those who opposed his queen. He wasn't even sure what his rank was then either...he just knew that he had to kill and kill, and he loved it. He reveled in being in the front lines, but even then he never stole or raped or anything that affected his 'morality'. He merely killed; it was his duty.
But then he met an angel; and during the first couple decades of the life he remembered, he had never met an anyone so beautiful before. For the first time in his life, he felt hesitant to kill. The angel realized that he had the ability to change, and bit by bit, she coaxed him to let his guard down. Eventually, killing no longer had the former glamour. He became obsessed with his angel, and wanted to know more about her. She helped quell the beast inside him, and brought him to the light. Very soon, he ran away to be with her in Gaman. And that's where he found out that she was Adelaide, the queen of Gaman. He wasn't stupid enough to think that he had a chance, but she saved him from going down the wrong path and he knew he had to do something to express his gratitude.
So he studied.
He studied to overcome his killer's instincts, and to use his instincts for something better. Time passed, and he asked Adelaide to become her adviser, to prove himself to her people that he could be a good person; that a demon could change sides. So far, he's been doing a pretty good job.
