With Recovery grown and gone from the teepee Thesh-ah found herself feeling a little empty as of late. It wasn't as if she hadn't expected him to grow up and leave it was just she had kind of hoped beyond hope that he wouldn't. That he would always stay with her and be her little colt with a bright smile and beaming eyes.
Is this how every mother feels? she wondered as she laid down in the middle of a large patch of flowers careful not to lay on to many. surely it is. i cant be the only one- but perhaps its best not to dwell. Think of happy things you may not be a mother anymore but you've waited all winter for to see this. she mused and forced a smile as she waited.
The breeze was light and the sun was warm in this meadow it was a perfect butterfly watching place. Time passed and she couldn't help but remember when recovery as a colt would lay beside her trying his best to stay still and wait for them to come.
its just not the same without someone here with me. without another smile to pass the time.
Sometime later butterflies began to drift in on the breeze and sip nectar from the flowers around her. The colors distracted her from memories and soon she was lost in the tiny artful rainbows of their wings. her smile became more genuine and eventually they started to land on her to rest between flowers.
