QUESTLINE: Planting the trees As you walk around the reservation, you notice a few former War clan members squabbling amongst themselves. They seem to have dug several rather large, impressive holes.
"Did you bring any seeds?" The female clansmember seems extremely agitated, literally harping on the male. He in return, says nothing. "We need seeds of strong saplings, nothing else will support our huts."
She suddenly spots you. "'You there! Come here." She points the ground, where a few small seeds are buried." I need you to go to the Weeping Forest and find tree seeds exactly like these ones. We need to grow the strongest trees."
Before you can argue she points you in the direction of the Weeping Forest. Oh well, better get started.OOC - Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below. Keep on rolling until you obtain at least 2 perfect seeds. You have completed the RP once you have fulfilled this requirement. - 1-20: The tree you manage to find and scale is weak and sickly. It does not seem like it will be suitable - 21 - 40: You find a particularly large tree, and rather nasty too, as it swings its branches, nearly disemboweling you on the spot. You manage to snag one seed from its branches before you have to flee away from it. +1 seed- 41 - 60: The tree seems to be very promising, but it seems to only be budding at the very very top. The branches are too dense to fly, so you take the dangerous trek of climbing up, but can only reach one seed before you fall back down. +1 seed-61 - 80: You look around, trying to find your way... you could have sworn you took this path before. You feel a little lost.... - 81 - 100: You see a suitable tree, but before you can grab at it, a minipet runs away with your find. Maybe you should find that minipet and skin it... Soren turned as the Horsewoman called out to him, having been content to keep walking past the arguing clansmen until that point. War clansmen playing in dirt? He had presumed that they were working on an obstacle course or something of the sort. The woman’s demands really…did not bother him that much. He made the choice to go over to see her, and she didn’t waste any time piddling around trying to sugar coat what needed to be done. He could respect that. Clear cut orders, in and out. Basically? She spoke his language. Not that he could really see what the seeds looked like. He knelt, and thankfully no dirt had been pushed into the hole to cover up the seeds yet, eyeing the type of seeds that they would need to find. “Very well.” He looked up to see another horsewoman passing by and motioned her over. By her appearance she likely came from Conquest, though with the way they were merged now he would not place a bet on it. “They need us to go find seeds for their trees. Do you have any reason not to help them?” Was he trying to rope someone else into the task set to him? Two sets of eyes were better than one in his opinion, and if she didn’t have a good reason not to he would do his best to put her to work.

It was kind of a good thing that the taller death clans-man had it in him to request the assistance of the artisan, as she had nothing better to do today, (whether people said so or not. There was only so much one could do in their own work-field before they got bored or frustrated.)
Turning her attention, she peered up to him as she walked closer, a soft smile on her face. (Was there something in the water she missed as she grew? Everyone seemed to so much taller than her . . .) and he was so much darker than she was, his skin almost the same colour as the ground in comparison to her pale skin, she felt a little self-conscious about the pigment that she had lost rece- Seedlings?
Letting her gaze drop down to the ground, she peered at the dirt covered hole that was next to him, her eyebrows raising a little as she bent down at the knees, looking at the dainty little seed that hadn't been covered yet. It could prove a challenge, but she was willing to take up on it.
"Of course." She offered up to him, not one to mince words outside of her comfort zone, she lifted herself to her full (tiny) height, awarding him with a soft smile. "I can offer assistance for a bit, as long as I have company." She shot back. If he was being short about it, so would she. It could prove interesting, at least.ramenli We can start rolling on your next turn o uob!

Soren was used to people being shorter than him, and it was only because he spent a fairly decent amount of time on his own that he did not have a permanent crick in his neck. At least she was not arguing and just cutting to the chase as well, and he tried to offer her a small smile in return. For just a brief moment his eyebrows unfurrowed and...well that was a start at least. He nodded in acceptance. "I won't leave you alone in the forest," he promised. "Don't worry about your safety," he added on, just in case that was what worried her. Soren knew better than to underestimate someone due to size, but this mare simply seemed...fragile. Perhaps it was just her skin that lead him to believe that, but the thought was there.
Presuming that since the woman wanted to be accompanied meant that she would stick with him he struck out to the forest, looking constantly upwards to try to find the seeds like he had seen. "I'm Sören," he offered a bit belatedly before abruptly switching the subject.. "That looks like the right type of tree." He made his way to it and began to clamber up the trunk. Soren was not precisely a light stallion though, and while not fat he was stocky. The slender tree stood no chance and began to give, creaking ominously. He jumped down, landing in a crouch. "Too weak, we'll have to keep looking."

Sören?
Seemed like she was learning a lot of new names in this short time. It was almost a game, finding out how names worked in the clans-of-yesterday, and secretly she tried to wrap her mind around the name, pronouncing it under her breath once or twice before her attention was caught up with him again. It was a little peculiar being with someone who was as short-of-word as she was, finding the conversation a little staggered, if not amusing.
"Hua Lifen. Lifen will work." she introduced herself, giving him a curt bow. The way that the taller clansman had worded it sounded like she would be vulnerable in the forest, but she threw any retorts to the wind, before looking up at the location he was walking to, she didn't feel starting anything with poor word choice.
Looking around them, she couldn't help but nod curtly, taking a few steps past him deeper in to the forest. As he scrabbled up the tree, her painted lips pursing a little as she touched the tree's trunk softly, looking up at the bark higher up, before the sound of his heavy body colliding with the ground. This sudden action made her jump just a little, setting off the bells that hung on her sleeves, mis-matched eyes widely looking at him, now on the ground.
"Y-yes." She answered him, before looking up the tree she was now standing next to, her eyes flicking up, and then down again. "I think they are all suffering in this area." She offered, before grabbing the bark and crumbling it in her hands, showing him. "Brittle, no good. We may as well walk a bit."
She was going to hear it, getting all messy. It was starting to become a daily occurance, it seemed.ramenli I can code correctly >_> /edit.

"Lifen," he muttered, more for his own benefit than anything else. The bark that she pointed out looked like...well, bark to him, but he eyed it to try to see why it was different. If they needed to press their way deeper into the forest he had no qualms with that, the exercise might be nice. And at least this mare was proving herself useful, he would not have thought to look at the bark, though relying on his instincts was not the most horrendous thing.
He was content to remain in silence as they delved deeper into the forest, waiting for a few minutes before resuming his search. Finally they came across a tree that looked promising, or as promising as a tree could look. It was thick, had branches, and had some greenery at the top.
Promising.
He turned his head from side to side, cracking his vertebrae, and eyed the tree before starting forward. He had to bear-hug the tree until he got high enough to reach the first branch, but from there on it was just letting his muscles do the work, steadily moving to the top. For the briefest of moments he remembered climbing a different tree on one of his expeditions, on his way to plucking a plum from a high up branch. It had been the end of the season, but when he had seen a few of the fruits still high on the tree he had decided to take some back to Astridr. His effort had been well rewarded, she had been delighted in the treat, first examining it, then sketching it, next carefully dissecting it, and then, finally, devouring it, making sure that he tried some as well. She had tried to plant the seed, but it had never sprouted, and eventually the small pot of dirt was moved aside as other research piled in.
As he thought about it he reached the greenery. He reached out, stretching precariously, and snagged a single seed before gravity took back over. Immediately his gauntleted hand shot out, clawed tips digging into the bark of the tree, slowing his descent but leaving a nasty trail in the trunk of the tree that he did not seem to really notice as he held out the seed to Lifen. "Does this one look okay?"
+1 seed

She still wasn't used to the noise that the death-clansman made as he did what he did best. He didn't walk, he trounced, he didn't climb, he was liken to a bear scrambling to safety . . . and the sound he made coming down was almost akin to a thunderstorm. But, she figured, it really did make up for the silence that they held between the two clans-mates as they looked around for the appropriate seedlings that would help sprout a-new.
Following him, she felt a bit like a duckling following the larger one, looking around as the continued, the trees starting to look healthier and able to bear more seeds. Hearing her sudden ally do the . . tree thing. . . she wandered a little further, curious as to what she would find - hoping to show that she, too, could pull her strings.
Lifting a bit of an underbrush veil, she peered around, looking for the perfect tree to work from. Of course, it was rather obvious from the get go - the large, mean looking plant in the middle had the greenest leaves and almost seemed to give off a calming aura, something that felt like "Come to me and I'll soothe you as I lop your head off," was a lulliby to a child. It was a little profound, but she couldn't help a challenge. Slipping through the break in the veil, her shoes touched soft grasses, and silently she pumped herself up to get closer to the tree, crouching low, she dashed towards it.
--WHUMK--
The sound was quick and almost startling, she felt leaves burst away and land against her skin, soft schrapnel from the ground where the limb-like branch collided with, only a few hairs away from her. This was both dangerous and exhilerating. Taking a few more moments to almost dance with the tree, her feet light and visually appearing like they knew what steps to take, she swooped down to pick up a seed that the tree had dropped, allowing herself to back out of the battle of wits, glaring at the monsterous plant and it's appendages.
As she back-tracked through the little veil, the sound of metal on bark ripped through the air again, spooking her a little, she dared peer behind her before her vision struck upwards again, Soren in his descent, hand spread out to her, holding a seed that was very simular to her own. Lifting hers, she awarded him a soft smile, nodding.
"Yes, that will do well. Grow in to a wonderful tree, I am sure." She allowed him, using her hands as a bit of a visual reference, sort of pushing them up and out in a tree like fashion, before grinning to herself again.
This seemed almost too simple.

Well, two seeds for the War Horsemen, their task was already complete it appeared. He glanced at her seed as well, allowing himself to revel in her words for a moment. Yes, these tiny, insignificant seeming seeds would some day grow into a large tree, capable of supporting one of the structures that those who had been of the clan of War so preferred. He could not imagine living in a tree like that but trees had uses beyond that. Shade, bearing fruit and seeds good for trading or other various purposes, firewood. Research. His hand closed around the seed, and he slipped it into one of the pockets in his pants that was not visible due to his long shirt that draped his frame.
"Would you wait while I gather another seed? I'd like to try to plant one myself." He eyed the tree he had just climbed, but then began looking for another one. If he was going to get another seed it would probably be best to add some diversity in. There was another tree nearby, and just like the first it seemed to have little until the very top. The lower branches possibly did not get enough light from the pumpkin sun as the top ones formed a canopy, but whatever the reason it meant that he had a tree to scale. He went at this one with the same determination as the first, focused on getting the job done more than not harming the bark or any of that nonsense. He reached the top and managed to get one seed before his...interesting sort of lowering himself back to the ground occurred. Once again he wound up on his feet, and this time he looked at the seed himself before adding it to the one in his pocket. "We should be done here unless you need to stay."

Lifting her hands, Lifen gave him a little shrug, showing that she wasn't terribly hindered by his request. It was actually kind of nice to have a bit of company she was not used to - even if he was about as silent as she was, and just as refined when it came to daily tasks. She had learnt to be rough and tussle a bit due to having five sisters, (for, there was no equalibrium, no matter what people would say about daughters.)
Waiting for him to return, she looked at the seed in her hand, leaning against one of the older trees. It was kind of remarkable what a bit of luck and work could grow, as generations went. Maybe she would start her own garden again . . . It would be nice.
The sound of Soren's gruff voice broke her out of her thought process, mis-matched eyes veered up towards him as she regarded him, listening much closer to what he was saying, before a soft smile broke out on her face, letting herself push off the tree she was leaning on.
"What was the reason for the third seed?" She questioned after a moment, curiousity getting the best of her. "Are you considering keeping one?"

"Yes," he said simply, turning back the way they had come. He took a single step before halting, even he knew that such a curt answer was not enough considering that she had waited on him. Soren turned slowly to face the mare, turning a level gaze on her to meet her peculiar eyes. "We couldn't grow plants on the Isle of Death, potted plants were an extravagance and a tree would be laughable. I think..." he paused to clear his throat, trying to keep his face expressionless though he couldn't quite manage to keep the pain and sorrow from flickering in his eyes. "I think someone that was left behind would want this."There, it was out in the open. Somewhat. But it was a start, and he was at least referring to his priestess verbally now. He found himself clearing his throat yet again (surely it was simply because he had been talking so much), and glancing away from Lifen toward where the Clansmen that had come from War were waiting on them. "We need to get back."

Pursing her lips, she allowed herself to be guided towards the horsewomen again, stealing a glance every-so-often at the soldier, his somber look a little more softer when he admitted that it was an experiement to remember someone he had left behind.
She, too, had lost a love one - heck, she lost many - so it was like a heart-wrench to hear that he was wanting to go to such extremes for someone who appeared so close to him. Even if he looked like nothing was bothering him, she knew his kind (for she was exactly like him. They were talking a lot.) Clearing her own throat, she looked down to the seed in her hand again.
"I think that is very noble of you." She thought outloud, giving him a soft smile. "Please let me help you, I would like to start a garden again, myself." She finished, before they went towards the meeting point.ramenli We can finish this with your post > w

Start a garden again? Then she likely already had some experience with plants. He filed that information away for later usage and simply gave her a nod. It was not that it was noble, at least not in his mind, but it really was nothing to argue about. The seed in his pocket suddenly seemed heavier though, as if it knew it was of some importance. "If I need help I'll know where to go."The ex-War horsewomen came into sight and they approached, handing over the seeds so they could begin their saplings. After the seeds were handed over a few horsemen tokens traded hands as well, and now that his mission was complete Soren simply wished to have time alone, to plan out just how he was going to get this garden to work. "Thanks for your help Lifen," he stated with a slight dip of his head in acknowledgement to her before turning away, his hand in his pocket, cradling the third and final seed as he began his way back to where the remnants of the Death Clan had set up their temporary quarters. Nerpin Since you said to end it I said they both handed over seeds, if you want me to edit that out so its just Soren I will~ Otherwise...I think we're finished? owo Its been a pleasure <333
