Is anybody there? Is anybody coming?! -singing- Who is the most mischevious of all? That would be you, reflects in my laugh...-stops- I hear footsteps! Who's there...? Remilia? Is...that you?

 ~Remilia Scarlet~
~ ~ ~
1486...1487... Remilia kept count of the steps as she descended. A needless habit, but it helped to pass the time. 1495... Aside from regular checkups by her chief maid, Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia's dear younger sister, Flandre Scarlet, has been unusually quite as of late. 1499... 1500. Remilia stopped in front of a large wooden door, magically sealed with powerful hexes and locked with magically formed chains. She snapped her fingers, and a spark of red magic erupted from her fingertips. The spark split into five separate orbs, each one forming a small key. The keys floated towards and into five corresponding padlocks holding the magical chains in place. They twisted, and with a series of fresh 'click's, the padlocks snapped open, and the entire magical ensemble blew away as if made out of dust. The door flashed, signifying the hexes' removal, and the heavy wooden door creaked open...
"Flandre, Dear... Are you there? Have you been well?"

Flandre ______ Yes...I'm fine...it's very boring here, being alone all the time. Maybe someday we can play outside...?" Flandre mumbled, looking at her ripped bear in her arms. She already knew what the answer was, it was always the same. No. No. No. Never actually a yes from her sister, because Remilia had always told her that 'her power was too dangerous'. This always sort of hurt Flandre, in a way, and created more anger inside her. Which usually created more problems later. "Never mind my question. It didn't make sense. I already knew you would say no...yes...I'm okay.............." Flandre was unsure of what to say next...usually she had plenty to say, but there was something keeping her from saying the words she wanted to demand.

 ~Remilia Scarlet~
~ ~ ~
Remilia passed through the doorway, and was greeted by her sister on the other side. She listened to Flandre's request, and couldn't help but feel sorry for the younger sibling. Her heart ached. Such a simple request to go outside seems so innocent, but the power Flandre possesses - or rather, her lack of control of said power - would undoubtedly spell doom for whomever might rouse her to use it.
"You know I cannot allow that, Flandre. You are not yet ready to venture outside. You are... dangerous to those who do not understand you."
Sometimes, Remilia felt like a villain, a great antagonist to a pleading captive. Does Flandre remember the smell of fresh air? The gentle, nurturing glow of the moon? The kiss of a gentle breeze?
Remilia joined her side, holding Flandre's hand, and inspecting the teddy bear she held. "You've torn your bear again, Flandre... I'll have Sakuya mend it the next time she visits." She looked at her sister's unnaturally quiet expression. "Is there something else you wish to speak about, my dear sister?"
