In any of the fire emblem games when you're doing very well and getting really good level ups, until suddenly you lose a character out of nowhere and have to restart the map all over again. Then once you retry the map, you then realize that some of your characters didn't gain as good stats as they did before? Don't you hate when that happens? xd

Kinda happened when I had to restart the chapter. >>;
It's either one or the other. It's like RNG God refuses to hand you a free whole meal.

Jisen Meizuki Ninja Ryu11 Aww that sucks... >.< Which game was it? ... Fire Emblem ... Oh right... XD Sorry if that question seemed random. I think what I meant to ask was that if you've ever had those moments when you would get no stats at all? It happens to me a lot when I use Clarine in FE6 actually... XD

In fact some people, like our FEF Ephraim sometimes restart just to get good stats instead of terrible stats such as no stat. >>;

I never really thought of restarting to get better stats to be honest... I usually just continue on with whatever I get and hope for the best. lol I had also heard that some people use save states on emulators to get better stats, but it seems like it's cheating a little. At least in my eyes it does... stare

Ninja Ryu11 Really? I never really thought of restarting to get better stats to be honest... I usually just continue on with whatever I get and hope for the best. lol I had also heard that some people use save states on emulators to get better stats, but it seems like it's cheating a little. At least in my eyes it does... stare Well, I meant those who restart are those who use save states on emulators. >>; I never used those because I had the cartridge and just continued playing. However, from what I see on emulators, I sortta see that as "Arena Abuse." After all, people want to strengthen their characters before fighting against the final boss. >>; Even if the save state looks like it's cheating to get better stats, I somewhat like them for certain reason. For example, character's death. That way if your character dies, you can restart where you last save instead of restarting from the beginning of the chapter.

For example, character's death. That way if your character dies, you can restart where you last save instead of restarting from the beginning of the chapter. That's actually a pretty good point there.. The only times I ever used emulators is really for the fire emblem games that never had a U.S. release like FE3, FE4, FE6. I can see how save states could come in handy in several occasions like you had mentioned. Especially in the arena for example, if you fight a really strong opponent that you're unprepared for and you end up losing the character forever. It's really a pain because you did all of that work into training that character for nothing.. >.> ( And I know how that feels especially when playing something like hectors hard mode...)) Save states can help you get to place before you even fought the opponent. And you'll know what you're dealing with before the match and all that. So yeah, I guess save states can be a good thing depending on how you use them.. xd

I once had a Rekka No Ken game where Eliwood sucked, Hector was the fastest man alive and Lyn had the strength of a normal Hector..It was..weird. Oh and Matthew doubled everything..including swordmasters sweatdrop

I've definitely had those times... and often it's the character I least expect to die who bites it. I believe it happened with either Nailah or Tibarn in FE10 once.
I'd average one "no stat" level-up every other chapter last time I played FE9. Made me wonder if the set growth rates were worth it.

Yess. . . Really hate when that happens. Have a good game and a lucky crit claims one of my characters XD. Then when I reply the level, most of my units level without a stat gain. DX

Also had a Lowen in one game, who was one of the most badass walls a person could ever ask for..an army broke themselves on his maxed defense as they decided to act like lemmings and just assault him single file I went through 4 lances with one character on that map. He was fast and had defense crying dang I miss him!
