Rin was someone he’d met before if in brief passing. She was a moon, one of the rare ladies in the division, (at least they felt rare, but then he..kept a very male company). She seemed capable yet aside from what he looked like, he knew next to nothing about her. Not even weapon type. It made him feel a bit bad really, and with the whole stint after the islands and the following week of… yeah. He’d been a bad place. It was good he’d not gone after her then, but now he was better, (the cramps had even gone). Now, he could go out, invite her to do a quick run with him. Because why not? Moon bonding over violence. Totally Legit.

Rin was busy puttering about the kitchen. snatching some bread, a bit of sandwich meats, some lettuce, tomato, mayo... mmm, the resulting sandwich was quite daunting.
She seemed unfazed though as she marched out into the mess hall, prize in tow, and took a mighty bite before looking around for an empty table.
iStoleYurVamps this setting good? IDK what you were wanting. XD

And there she was, with lunch too apparently. While Marcus might envy her normally, he wasn't hungry just yet. Later? Later he'd envy sandwich craft. "Hey." Even if she was eating, Marcus was still wanting to invite her out for a quick run. "Rin right? Wondering if you might be up for killing some things and working on defense. We've not really had a chance to really work with each other, though we're on the same division."

Rin shot Marcus a wide-eyed baffled stare as she tried to chew over and swallow the bite she had already taken, "Oh. Hi. Uhh."
She tried to place him. ... Tried. Not a ******** clue. He was clearly a moon though.
"Yeah, uh, that sounds okay. Just let me finish my sandwich, alright?"
Before he even had a chance to answer she stuffed the rest of her meal in her mouth like a hamster but took extra long to chew it up and swallow before standing, "Lead the way.. uh... you~"

Did he just cause deer in headlights? Maybe, but, better than her trying to flake out at least. "Yeah, you can- Oh." She finished just like that and for a second he was sure to be impressed or terrified.
"Marcus Hasan. The dorms still need clearing out, but it shouldn't take very long for a quick run through, most of the time it's pretty dead, but, sometimes.." He shrugged. "Luck of the draw really."
Walking to the the dorms was easy, standing outside the doors, he motioned to her hand. "You want to take front or rear? Also defense or offense? I'm good with either position."

"Ah... Marcus. Right right." she totally knew that. She distractedly used her hands to sweep her crumbs up and toss them in a nearby trash bin.
"Sounds like a plan, lead the way~"

Getting into the dorms, the mist was present inside if possible, thicker, than it was outside. No sounds but them, and even with light, it held a new found unappealing quality to it. You didn't want to share you sleeping quarters with mist creatures after all. "I can take either defense of offense. So far, have you practiced defending or are you focusing more on the healing aspects of the moon division?" As he asked, something stirring in the hall made him look over, sword brought up just in time to deflect claws. "And already, the welcoming party." "I'm more into healing." she offered before running after the creature trying to swing at it with Byr. She hit but the creature barely held on, lashing back with it's sharp claws.
"A-after I'm charged up, th-they're all yours okay?"

Marcus nodded. "I'm more of the defense type. I couldn't heal a wound if I tried." More than that, he was more prone to causing wounds on other trainees. It always seemed to end up that way. Hopefully, given the fact this wasn't a spar, he wouldn't be sending her to the infirmary.
"But, go to town to grab a charge, Dis and I will do our best to keep you covered."

Rin smirked slightly before lashing out again with Byr. Hacking the creature in two in one smooth sweep of metal.
She turned her gaze back on Marcus, "Byr is hungry... lure another?"

Defended now Rin attempted to charge at the little creature. It's size however meant it was better able to dodge Byr coming down towards it.
She shot Marcus a curious look before remarking, "Sorry."

Another swing, and the creatures was set back, still kicking. "Don't be. If we hit everything, we wouldn't be called trainees no would we?" A clang as he caught small claws on his blade, sending them into a wall rather than him or Rin.

Rin came back around swinging and barely managed to nick the creature, at least Marcus held it back from taking out 'revenge'.
Byr was purring in her thoughts now, contentedly holding his charge.
"Ah! That's got it, your turn Marcus!"
