Jason was a name on paper, not much else. He’d seen him a few times, passed a few words maybe, but yet it was another one of the trainees in his own division he didn’t know. Rolling dice in his hand, he was bored beyond bored. His latest time killer was rolling dice and betting with himself on the outcome. So far, he’d lost to himself more than he won, (his boredom was prompting him to wonder if the dice were weighted. He’d gotten them from a life tech after all). Dice or not, Jason was a moon hunter Marcus had yet to meet. He needed to get on that as soon as possible. That being as soon as… Well. Another roll of the dice and a loss. He was just putting anything off because he could. Rolling his legs out of the cot, he flicked through the list of hunters, scrolling to Jason’s name. poke mattix Portal to the dorms, 15 minutes. Make sure to be ready for insanity creatures.

The stress of leaving in a underground base instead of his own dorm was starting to tell on the moon hunter as he wearily pulled out his phone as it began to buzz, reading the few words that were written and immediately feeling sick. So he had to fight more of these things? He had just gotten over the last batch (and thankfully had stopped hearing murmurs in his head), and was not keen to fight nay more of them.
He glanced at the sender, trying to place a face to that name. Marcus...wasn't that another intermediate Hunter? He was sure it was someone form his own division, but had not conversed with the Guy.
He really didn't want to go, but saying no was even less of a favorable outcome, so he threw on his coat and walked towards the portals as quickly as he could. Upon arrival, he waited patiently (and nervously) for Marcus to turn up.

Sorry, Jason, being a hunter was suffering. You'd get used to it. One the dot, Marcus was walking to the portal spotting a rather tall young man with the simple coat and moon insignia. A small wave and.. "Jason right? I'm Marcus, sorry we really haven't talked much before this. You ready for some on the job experience?" He was smiling, having dealt with the mind fog, the cramps... he was rather happy with the overall outcome so far. He wasn't dead after all. "It'll be a quick run through the dorms, nothing fancy, just a regular hack and slash with a bit of blocking thrown in."

When he saw Marcus stroll towards him, Jason almost did a double take. His outfit reminded him of a pirate, with his rough appearance adding to the picture. But when he addressed him, he was quite cheerful. "Y-yes, I'm Jason. N-nice to meet you sir" He responded, adding on the 'sir' to the end for good measure. Was he ready? Hell no, but the way Marcus described their mission, it sounded almost easy, like he did this everyday (On second thought, he probably did)
"Yes, I'm ready" He replied again doing everything in his power to pretend he couldn't hear Zanthvos singing about pirates,

He did plunder a certain booty, that was for sureThe sir made Marcus chuckle slightly, shaking his head. "Marcus is fine. I'm still a trainee, so on the s**t scale, we're not exactly too far off." A pat to the trainee's back and he motioned to the portal. "Let's go. You want to take up the fighter role our defender. I've been good at keeping up with my defenses, but some on the job training never hurts."

...Marcus had a way with words, that was for sure. "Er..S-sure thing, Marcus." He responded, looking at the portal with some trepidation before moving towards it as indicated. "W-well, I seem to have more experience with Offense" Jason mentioned, thinking back to the battled he had had so far. "So I would like to practice more defense." It was true; most of the time he had been trying to fight something instead of defend, so it would make sense to practice something he was supposed to excel in. It wasn't because he was a wuss, he swore it!

The trainee nodded, heading through the portal without hesitation. The dorms were rather empty to start of with, but that would change soon no doubt. "You take defense and I'll take offense. With luck, we'll clear out a good chunk of 'em." Summoning Dis, the weapon purred with the idea of a fear meal. "You ready?"

Following the Senior hunter, Jason was mildly surprised to see...nothing. Absolutely nothing. Well there was some fog, but no evil creatures jumping out at him. It made him both relieved and more nervous for what may happen next. "Yeah, I'm ready." He summoned his own sword, glancing at the weapon Marcus wielded (now he REALLY looked like a pirate), and walked down the the hallway covering Marcus's back, warily glancing at the fog and shadows.

Nodding, Marcus smiled. "Often when defense like this, it's good to take point. Most attacks will come from the front or sides since the path is liner. Not that something can't come from behind, but taking point is good." Speak of the devil and he shall appear. The only warning Marcus had was Dis telling him to look left before a set of dagger like claws just missed his face. Jumping back, he motioned to Jason. "You're on." Quote: 90-98: A small, fairly solid creature swiftly begins attacking you! Mob Stats HP: 15 Auto Damage: 5 (hit or miss)

Oh, right, he was supposed to go up front instead of the back. Jason quickly moved in front of Marcus, looking at the small creature warily. It was weaker then the last one he fought, but no less ferocious as it lunged at Marcus with those needle sharp claws. He quickly moved to intercept, holding his sword with both hands to catch the claws and try to throw the creature away.
It seemed to work, although the creature just sneered, and bounced off his blade.
HP: 40/40

Marcus smiled as Jason moved. Not bat when it came down to it. "Good job, now let's see how fast we can take this down shall we?" Spinning Dis, he went to the left of Jason, stabbing out from behind before pulling back. The creature snarled, easily evading the move. "This will definitely be fun." HP: 47 Damage: - Mob HP: 15

Fun? How was this fun? Trying not to get killied by insanity creatures was not his idea of fun. "T-thanks..." Grumbling to himself, he watched as his opponent bounced around then tried to jump at Marcus once more, but he was ready this time. With a easy smack of his sword, he veered it off it's course. At least he was improving. HP: 40 Defending Marcus for: 8

It was as fun as one made it, and when you had nothing better to do in the day, killing things was kind of fun. That was Marcus logic. "Good hit. You been awake a good while right?" He moved Past Jason for an instant, slicing down the creature before pulling back. "I want to say we've met before but not too sure." HP: 47 Damage: 7 Mob HP: 8

Sadly, Jason didn't seem to share Marcus philosophy, nor did he particularly enjoy killing things. But for all his reservations, he was doing a pretty good job at defending. His sword arched in the air, again making contact with the snarling beast, and swatting it away as if it was a oversized fly. "Um, I have been awake for a little while" He said, trying to concentrating on talking and defending at the same time. "And we may have met during the infiltration into four clans.." It was hard for him to remember, considering h e spent some of it unconscious and over the shulder of the princ- I mean HarrisonHP: 40 Defending Marcus for: 10

Marcus had full confidence in Jason. Rather, in Jason's potential. So far, he was doing damn well with defending so to Marcus, he'd just get better. As the creature bounced back, Marcus gave Jason a small shove forward. "When it gets pushed back, go forward." As it came a second time, Marcus was back, slicing the air. "Ah, damn b*****d won't stay still will it?" HP: 47 Damage: Mob HP: 8
