..::Eirika::..
"Ephraim, I know you don't come home very often, but have you by chance noticed where I might have put-"
Eirika's sentence cut off as she took a precarious step into her opened armoire. The antique piece of furniture was far too large for any practical purposes, and she often found herself needing to shove clothing aside layers deep to search for anything that happened to be placed in it. At times she felt that she should simply empty the entire thing and get rid of it, or put it in storage someplace in the castle, but it was her mother's so she couldn't bring herself to do it.
"-father's favorite walking cane...? What... where... what just happened?" The princess- regent, rather- of Renais was definitely not in Magvel anymore. Maybe. Honestly she had no idea at this point, but it was very sunny and she felt a bit overdressed for the dirt road she was standing on.
"...Ephraim?" She squeaked quietly, lifting the hem of her skirt from the ground and flitting her head from side to side. "...Seth? ...Anyone?" ...On second thought maybe she should not be blatantly giving herself up as being royalty. This could have been some sort of strange. Magical trap. Was this the dark lord doing something sinister again?
Well. At the very least, she decided she probably shouldn't stand in the middle of the street, and tip-toed her way to the sidelines.

Marina grumbled to herself as she paced a lonesome road. "Can't believe I got stuck--" She kicked a rusted can across the road in frustration. "--stuck on <********> outskirts duty." Her voice escalated into a high-pitched, mocking tone. "'Sure, Marina would love to do outskirts duty!'" Her voice returned to normal. "<******** you, Annis."
She kept walking. "********." She twirled her lance idly. "<********>. I can't believe this. I can't <********> believe this. Why does Annis get away with the s**t she does? Seriously, <********> Annis. She should be doing this right now. But nooooooo she's doing paperwork. You know, that's why her a** is so ******** huge, because she never moves it. And Tibarn just ******** lets her do it!" Grumble grumble grumble grumble grumble. She seethed. "Crew doesn't have to do this s**t." Deep breaths, Marina. In, out. In, out. It wasn't helping. "Is that-- is that a ******** hole in my sleeve? ********, and I just fixed it!" Stomp stomp stomp. She was almost at tantrum at this point. "I just cannot believe how unbelievably shitty this day has been! Just... just. ********> The sudden escalation of her voice into a yell disrupted the silence, and birds nearby fluttered away in panic. She watched them soar off. "Whoops, uh..." She looked around, and she spotted a figure in the road. Marina readied her lance and approached the figure cautiously. Long, blue hair... wait...
"Holy <********>! I mean, uh, UH, Eiri-- Princess Eirika?! Uh. You. You? You! Is that-- uh-- you. Miss-- Princess-- uh, can I escort you into town? You look... disoriented." She still stood at a distance, awaiting the woman's response.

..::Eirika::.. Princess? Well, that was still technically true, but... wait. Who was this and why did she know who she was? Was she still actually in Magvel?
"Oh, um, hello," she lifted her skirts into a quick curtsey, "I... well, yes, I suppose an escort into town would be nice, however, what town would this be?"
Eirika wasn't really sure if she should be trusting whoever this person was, but she supposed that if this were something sinister designed to kidnap her or murder her or something that hopefully there would be more of a sign than a random passerby with a foul mouth and a lance. Also she had to consider the fact that she was completely undefended right now and made a pretty good sitting duck in the first place, so... at this point, why not?
Of all the days... all she had wanted to do was so some castle reorganizing!

Well what’s so bad about a little coin toss now and then?
The Tempest King Ahhh why don't you Live a little! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Joshua grinned the entire way back from Gadrex, a small town on the outskirts of Eyris. He'd gained a bit of a reputation as a hustler (God knows why) in the capitol, the normal taverns he went for a good game of dice or cards were starting to wise up. It hadn't cut into his profit very much, there was always somebody looking to lose some money but it seemed wise if the gambler frequent some other locals for a week or so. The poor sods in Gadrex hadn't known what hit them. It put Joshua in a very good mood, it was a beautiful day out, sun shining, birds chirping, attractive bi-sexual women screaming on the road up ahead. Wait. What. It looked like there was a disturbance of some sorts on the road ahead, curiously Joshua walked a little faster, the cursing women had him a bit worried. However when he arrived he saw a familer head of teal hair from behind... and a very familiar pair of legs clad in a mini-skirt. "Eirika? Well Ephraim will certainly be happy to see you." He turned his attention to the other girl, "And you're... Marina right? I've... heard things about you, it's a pleasure to meet you." C'mon! All in! Lucks gotta change someday! bottom C'est le vie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How about we toss a coin? Heads I win Tails you DIE

"Well, you see, you're on the outskirts of Eyris, and..." Marina had to keep on her best behavior -- this was the <********' princess of Magvel and she could not decide if she wanted to strangle her for the despair she put Marina through or to be courteous and bring her into town. You know, you could kill her here, and nobody would kno-- NO NO NO NO NO NO NO that was the PTSD talking--
"And my name's Marina and I'm second-in-command, Adjutant to the King of Hawks. Although I used to live in Jehanna before I got tied up with the whole mess-- uh, you don't... know me, do you? 'Course you wouldn't, I was in this whole separate ******** faction that kept up with Ephraim, but he didn't know me either because there's some weird time s**t going on and <******** I'm rambling HI. ANYWAY, I'm a pretty big deal around here, and you're in good hands, I can bring you into town and we can get you acquainted to the pla--"
And then the drunk had to interrupt her. He staggered right into their conversation and he was blathering about something. He seemed like he was making perfect sense to himself but to herself and Eirika all they could make out were incomprehensible slurs. Especially about miniskirts. Neither of them were wearing miniskirts! Marina frowned.
"Looks like Joshua's drunk again." She seized him by his collar and started to drag him towards town. "Follow me?"

..::Eirika::.. Eirika nodded politely, albeit tentatively. This was certainly, an... interesting individual she was dealing with, to be sure.
"Eyris? That... certainly isn't a place I've heard of, before..." She had the strangest feeling that perhaps she shouldn't stand too close to this woman; maybe it was that weird tic she seemed to have that left her cursing so much. Eirika had heard of a phenomenon like that before, some sort of condition that left people involuntarily saying such things.
"Well, it's... lovely, to meet you, Marina. However you do see to know who I am, and I... I can't say I recognize you, but I'm really not very familiar with Jehanna, especially since there has been so much reconstruction going on there-" she stared with wide eyes at the sudden interruption.
"King Joshua? What in the world... oh, I hate having to call for your retainers to come collect you, they work so hard to keep you from drunkenly traipsing across the entirety of Magvel," the princess reached up to rub small circles into her temples.
"And what in the world are you talking about, I just saw Ephraim, he came for a short visit before the wedding- in fact, I had just... been talking to him..." And then reality dawned on her. NOTHING, obviously, was as it should be. She shook her head, fighting the urge to start pulling her own hair out, and followed at a short distance behind Marina and Joshua.
"As long as someone can tell me what's going on... I'm so very lost, and I can't say I'm enjoying it much... and who in the world is the 'King of Hawks'? I can't imagine you mean the head falconer..."

How long has it been since Cloak even got a job? Few months? The only one they got in a long time was taken by the other Cloak members....so what the heck was Ephraim stuck with? Groceries...He was stuck with grocery duty while they're out. If there was any sort of chance he could pick up his spear and shield anytime soon, he'd trot off into battle in a heartbeat. But no, kitchen duty. "This sucks.." Ephraim murmured as he double checked the list of things they needed. Why the hell couldn't Lance himself help out with this? Or any other Cloak member for that matter. Surely they had to have had one or two spare hands to help out but nooooooooooooo.
Whatever. As long as he was out of that building for the time..a majority of them liked to keep the curtains closed for whatever reason..it was like living with vampires. Few more things Ephraim needed to pick up before he headed back. Shouldn't be too much at the very least...if you ignore the busy street market as usual.

Well what’s so bad about a little coin toss now and then?
The Tempest King Ahhh why don't you Live a little! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Joshua was... confused. So was his writer. Neither of them thought that Joshua had said anything out loud about miniskirts, in fact the writer and the character both thought that what he had said was a pretty standard greeting... so why the hostility? Give me a moment to re-read. Yea, nothing about miniskirts was said outloud. Either Gale needs to read better or Marina is just plain insane. Regardless when Marina reached out to grab him, Joshua, who was not drunk in the slightest and in full motor control simply took a step backwards and slapped her hands away. You didn't get to be one of the top swordsmen in Jehanna by simply letting every crazy b***h grab you so she can get at your junk. "Pardon me?" He asked, giving Marina a look like she was completely insane. He then shot Eirika the exact same look. " What? Eirika, after taking the crown the only time I've been to Renais is on Royal business, and a King who would drink while on a diplomatic mission wouldn't be King for very long." He straightened his coat uncomfortably. Something weird was happening here and with a sigh the Tempest King ran a finger through his hair under his hat. "Look Eirika, I don't know how to say this but you're not in Magvel anymore. None of us are, we're in a new world now, the country you're currently in is called Learania. There's a few more people from Magvel here as well, but there's also a bunch from other worlds, I don't know how any of us got her but...." Joshua scratched his head, clearly frustrated. "Look I've never been good with magical stuff, tell you what, I belong to a group that can help you get adjusted and get a better explanation, it's called the Host Club. Your brother and Prince Innes are also in it. If you come with me I'll introduce them to you. As for the King of Hawks... that's a whole other can of worms, that can be explained to." Joshua cast another side glance at Marina, "If you'd like you can come too... we can probably get you the help you need, unless you're done accussing everyone who says hello to you of being drunk?" He asked with a grin and a wink to show that there were no hard feelings about that little misunderstanding. Of course Joshua didn't let down his gaurd though, and he watched Marina with a careful eye, the insane were oft unpredictable. He wanted to be ready incase she threw her self at him. C'mon! All in! Lucks gotta change someday! bottom C'est le vie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How about we toss a coin? Heads I win Tails you DIE

..::Eirika::.. Eirika was getting more and more agitated, and it showed. She held herself tightly, arms across her body, and to her great surprise she used Marina, a complete stranger, as a shield, before figuratively blowing up at Joshua.
"Excuse me if I don't quite believe you- I don't think you have any right to tell me that my own memories and experiences are falsified. If anything, YOU are remembering incorrectly, although perhaps that should be expected because you're known across Magvel for being a puppet king and a lush! In fact, I wish your mother were still alive, all of us do, and I'm sure most of all your WIFE did. Or did you forget that she passed away, because of your horrible habits, and that you gambled away your own wedding ring?" She stopped to take a breath, her whole body starting to shake.
"You're the last person that I want to hear anything from, even if at the moment you ARE sober. Yes, I understand that I'm not in Renais, possibly not in Magvel, as this woman was previously trying to tell me before being interrupted. But it isn't possible for my brother, and, my- my-" her face colored slightly, a faint blush to be seen by a trained eye, "-friend, to be in some, strange club, wherever this is, especially such a thing as a Host club, when both are expected to be in Renais on the morrow for Ephraim's wedding!"
A faint sparkle was beginning to show itself on the lower rims of Eirika's eyes; she blinked quickly, trying to stave off tears of frustration.
"For the gods sakes, I don't know if I'm being kidnapped by a dark lord or if I hit my head on the shelf in my wardrobe, but at least this soldier Marina addressed me with respect and by my title."

And at this point, Marina had just about lost her s**t as well. Even if somewhere in Joshua's mad babble had he properly introduced the country, she was on the Rehabilitation Committee, not him. There were certain rules and tact to be applied here, and if they were not followed then the consequences could be dire. The rules had not been followed and now Eirika was a panicked, irate mess! And Marina would not stand for it. She snatched the arm he would be using to swat her away cleanly out of midair, and while Eirika was going off on her tirade, Marina had Joshua neutralized in three simple steps. First, she wrenched his arm around, pinning it securely behind his back. Then she kicked him in the back of the knee, causing him to lose his balance, and then finally she dropped him hard on the ground, pinning him down with her foot.
"Sober or not, Joshua, you're being a public nuisance. Keep ******** talking and you'll spend the night behind bars."
She paused, then once again turned to Eirika. She had experienced enough first-hand the many splintered timelines Magvel provided so that Eirika's words did little to unnerve her, so she regarded her with an unwavering eye. "It's a very complicated story. Let's get you into town, preferably without this--" she pressed her foot down firmly upon Joshua "--idiot, and I'll explain on the way."

..::Eirika::.. Eirika nodded slowly, swiping a hand under her eyes.
"O-okay... I think... I think I'd like that... perhaps if I could sit and get a cup of tea somewhere, while you tell me what's going on...?" She stifled a small sniffle.

It was at this point that Marina called upon her trusty steed. "GREAT ODIN'S STEED, I BECKON YOU FORTH!" she called into the heavens, and a mighty sparkling rainbow robot unicorn burst forth from the clouds, landing upon the ground and sounding a mighty clap of thunder. "Come with me, my lady, and we'll explore the lands!" She grabbed Eirika's hand and whisked her up upon the wonderous horse's mighty steel a**. "HI-HO, SILVER, AWAY!" she screamed, and the pegasus unicorn neighed the most epic of mechanical neighs one ever heard, and everyone within hearing range (which was the entire goddamn planet, minus Eirika and Marina themselves) had their heads detonate into flesh and bone spatter everywhere in one majestic unparalled to anything that ever existed explosion. Eirika and Marina rode off into the clouds, and they were never ever seen again on this side of the mortal plane.
AAAAAAALWAYS, I WANNA BE WITH YOU, AND MAKE BELIEVE WITH YOU, AND holy s**t did Marina and Eirika ever be with each other and make believe with each other you better ******** believe it.
