((This RP is for Axel (Sunchaser9000) & Padme Jade (Angelique DelaMort))  The road was a ribbon of moonlight and Jade trotted along without fear. Why should she? So it was a little dark, with her brilliant coloring she could hardly go unnoticed in the light, so the dark wasn't so bad. Not that she wanted to be unnoticed or anything. She was just...well what was she doing? Walking for the moment, obviously. Going out in search of adventure and great treasures! Actually, more like a decent place to rest, maybe a nice cool waterhole if she was lucky. She didn't have high expectations, quite the opposite really. She could rough it without trouble. She just had to find a decent spot to stop...

 The bright pink stallion heaved a sigh as he plodded down the road. Maybe Bass was right...He certainly couldn't continue down his current path. Chasing every tail that flipped in his direction hadn't worked thus far. Maybe he needed to grow up a little bit.
Axel's ears flicked forward, picking up the sound of hooves ahead of him. "Who would be traveling at this hour," the alicorn muttered and picked up his pace to see who or what lay ahead.

Jade's ears perked up as she heard the echoing, well additional echoing, of hooves on the path. Now who could be on the path at this hour? Lost lone females looking for a place to sleep, certainly, but those couldn't be that common. Of course there were always the more nefarious night stalkers. Kalonas with cruel slashing claws, skinwalkers with a lust for blood, or...sleepwalkers? Who knew. The point was she had a choice. Embrace her base survival instincts that were screaming at her to flee into the night and hide in the woods. Or...Uh huh... She turned boldly and called into the darkness, "You can't chase me because I'm not running. Now what do you want." What should have been a question came out as a statement, and she was ok with that.

"Just to see who could be plodding along at this hour." Axel halted in front of the bright green mare and looked around. "Seems to be just you out here." Impeccably white wings folded back down into place as his lion-like tail twitched. "You're traveling alone?" He looked around again, just in case he'd missed another soquilli.

"No, I'm traveling with my invisible honor guard..." she said dryly. "Of course I'm alone! And I don't plod, thank you very much," she added wrinkling her nose in disdain. "In case you didn't notice, you're out here alone too. What would you have done if I were a skinwalker or a bandit, huh?"

"Wow, and they say I'm rude," she shrugged. Being compared to the terrors of being ripped apart by a skinwalker wasn't Entirely new for her (what could she say, she had a bit of a mouth and seemed to lack an edit button on the best of days). "Sometimes they're right of course, but still. So you're not out here for some nefarious purpose? Too bad. It would have at least made things more interesting..."

"I'm rude? I believe that you were the first to have the curt tongue." The alicorn tossed his head and snorted. "Your idea of interesting could use some improvement too. Nefarious happenings aren't exactly things you live through."

And for speaking with such authority you do seem very much alive and...still prancing about in the middle of the night. Even making time to arge with strange mares on the road..." she added quickly.
