After being healed and finding a new friend within Serenia, Kavanna decided it would be best to take Naomi's advice and try battling again. Maybe she didn't have all of her confidence? Maybe that's all she truly needed. A little confidence seemed to go a long way.
After staying about a week with Naomi, learning some good healing remedies without the need for magic necessarily, Kavanna decided to go herb picking by herself. Learning what Naomi had to teach would definitely benefit her in the future, she knew that for a fact. Though with what had happened to her the week prior, she had already pretty much decided which clan she would choose. It was just a matter of getting back to the Celestial Plane and making the announcement to Marcus Ysaride. Hopefully they would be pleased.
Kav left the house in the early morning intending to make some preparations for her leave in the night with Naomi's boat. She would definitely be back to visit, there wasn't anything that would stop her there. It was just the beginning of a blossoming friendship.
Within hours, she found herself out into the density of the forest. There were some medicinal herbs that she decided to pick along the paths that some of the Orderites had no doubt created and when she ventured into the wild portions, there were even more.
It was about noon and her pouch was stuffed full of the herbs that Naomi had taught her had healing properties. It was time to head back so that she could say a proper goodbye, get some food, and make her way out into the ocean before it became too dark.
The road was a long one, but at some point, something caught her attention. A glistening green scaled beast in the horizon. This was her chance. Her confidence wasn't shaken whatsoever, it was time to prove that she did have what it takes to kill a dragon.
She started to sprint, and this time she had the element of surprise on her side. It was time to show this dragon what she had in her. She used her full body bash at first, to take the dragon down. It wouldn't be long before this battle was over. Before the dragon could do anything else but hiss in surprise and pain, Kavanna kept using her slap and Dragon Rush abilities. The Ysali cried out, swatting at her, but missing just because it was utterly at ends with not being able to really cast many spells. The Ysali could feel the life in its body ending very soon. One last bash and Kavanna realized what she had done. She had killed her first dragon.
The dragon's body glowed bright, the scales dissipating into dust and leaving nothing but a dragon's skeleton. The swirls of magic grew around the corpse and turned into a large marble sized glowing orb. The dragon soul was hers.
"Yeeeeeeees! Finally! I defeated a dragon! Oh wow! How exciting! I must hurry off and tell Naomi! YEEEEEES!" the little Dovaa said excitedly to herself as she tossed the soul into the same pouch as she tossed her herbs and made her way back 'home'. Grinning from ear to ear as she skipped all the way back to the house.
