A few years ago when I was little, I played this really fun game on my aunt's laptop. You used the arrow keys to move around, and I think the space bar was to jump. The goal was to collect all the crystals (or gems, or gold, or something like that!) before a sort of Grim-Reaper thing caught you. The avatar for the character was female.
On one of the levels, there were various spots where you had to use stairs to get to a higher or lower spot to get all the gems. In the middle of the map, there was a big temple-style building.
