However, when it comes to an injury or her pups, Shay loses all shyness and takes command. She does not allow anyone to get in the way of her healing, and she is a strict but loving mother.

Shaylynne previously lived in the Arctic, where she belongs. However, when Shay was a young adult, she was captured by hunters who saw her as an opportunity and wished to sell her. Luckily, they decided she would be more valuable alive. They were passing near Oscuro in a ship when it hit a reef, and as it sunk, Shay's wooden crate stayed afloat. It drifted to a nearby shore, where it broke open on the sand. Shaylynne wandered alone in this new land until she found this pack, and with no way to return home, she has lived here ever since. She had a mate who was a warrior of the pack, but he died after he accidentally ate Yew berries, leaving behind only their two pups and his influence on them.
