It might come as a shock that Sasha showed up in the infirmary. She'd caught word that Rin was there, though she wasn't entirely sure why the other woman was there. She'd been in the labs more and more often lately. Being in near proximity to the doctor's office meant that any errands that he needed running could be accomplished in a decent amount of time.
Sasha liked to think she was efficient.
As she rounded the corner and slipped into Rin's room, there was a brilliant smile on her face.

Rin was startled from a sleep as she heard the door creek open. She blearily looked up at the ceiling accusingly before slowly closing her eyes again with a garbled, "Wrrsombddy thrrre?"

"Ri~iiiiin!"
Sasha's voice was bright and clear and filled with an odd sort of confidence the hadn't had before.
Probably ever.
"Oh, gosh, you um." She winced. "Are you okay?"

And Rin was suddenly very much awake and staring at Sasha. She blinked. Another blink. A few more blinks. Pinched herself. Nope.
Sasha had definitely come to visit her in her time of... weakness. She was so embarrassed she quickly tugged her covers up tighter under her chin to make sure she couldn't see the flimsy cyan gown.
"S-Sasha? You came to see me?" was that hope in her voice?

Sasha canted her head to the side, a broad smile on her face.
"Well, of course. I ah.. I owe you an apology, don't I? And.. I mean. You're..." she waved a hand broadly before she grabbed a chair and shoved it closer to Rin's bed.
"Sick."
Sasha situated herself in the chair, folding her hands in her lap.
"So. I'm sorry, ah. For.. well. What happened in Killzone's den-thing. I just. It was kind of um. It was a personal thing, and I didn't... feel right... I don't know."
Sasha cleared her throat.
"It was a strange day."

"It's okay, I understand. I'm just glad you came. Have I missed anything?" she settled back down with a wince but smiled giddily at the ceiling.

"Well," Sasha began, her eyes bright.
"We went and talked to the doctor. About the uh. The list. And.. well. I guess someone from my family was a hunter. I.. I don't know who." She cleared her throat.
"So.. to make up for stealing that picture and going through the doctors things, I have to um." Her eyes gleamed. "Well. Bring the doctor his coffee and tea, and his food if he requests it, and do any other errands he needs done. Since Clarice is gone for a while."
She tried not to sound too happy about it.

"Oh. Wow. So, you're like his secretary of sorts? Just don't let him take you to any orientationsss~" she warned, recalling the first time she ever met the doctor and 'Clarice'. A time for which she has yet to ever fully recover from.
"Man though, you come from a family line of hunters? That's pretty interesting. Did he tell you what they were like at all? Strong? Brave? High ranking?" she suddenly flinched and shifted a little.

Sasha opened her mouth to undoubtedly spew praise for the doctor - but something Rin said made her feel a little foolish. Her shoulders dropped a little.
"I um."
Sasha cleared her throat.
"You know, I ah. I didn't ask. There was.. a lot going on, and, um. Well, maybe next time. Jerry was kind of.. well, towards the end, everyone was getting kind of.. tempers were running high."
Sasha watched as Rin flinched. Poor thing.
"What happened?"

"I-it's okay, you'll have plenty of time to ask in the future? Especially now that you're assisting him. I'm sure you'll have plenty alone time with him to ask." she frowned though, apparently she had noticed her... uh... weakness.
"I... uhh... was at the haunted house and a.. creature got the drop on me." she hated admitting that much. It made her feel stupid and weak, "but I'll get revenge, okay? I'm not like, going to take this lying down alright?"

Rin's comment made Sasha feel a little better - these past few hours, it had been difficult to completely bring Sasha down.
"Why did you go alone! That's.. that's dangerous. Those things are ... they're everything terrible in the world, Rin."
She might've sounded a little chiding.
"Next time we can go together or something."

Rin wilted again as she felt scolded but she immediately lit up at the offer, "Yes. Yes. You may be right. Next time I'll drag you with me. I just.. I dunno what I was thinking that time. I think I thought I was only just investigating. Spying perhaps."
She wibbled her bottom lip at Sasha, "The worst part is how boring and lonely it is in here when I don't have lovely visitors such as yourself."

Sasha seemed to relax until that lower lip started to wibble. When her eyes zoned in on that little action, Sasha's own lips turned down at the corners. Rising to her feet, she moved to gingerly sit on the edge of Rin's bed before she reached out to clasp Rin's hand in her own.
"Don't be afraid to text me or something, Rin! I mean, like. Gosh, you know?"
She squeezed Rin's hand.
"We're friends, right? Friends are there for friends. Like you were um. For me, okay?"

Rin gave a soft barely audible squeak as Sasha sat on her bed and then she smiled as her hand was taken. The smile grew as her hand was squeezed. Oh Sasha, you don't know what you're doing to this poor woman. It was okay though, Rin was just grateful for the contact.
"I will next time Sasha, I promise." she didn't mind the excessive use of the word 'friends'. Friends were good things, friends were mostly reliable and trustworthy, "We are and yes. Yes."
She did sulk a little mentally though before adding, "We should have code names for each other."
"That's what really good friends do." she suggested.

"Code names?" Sasha's nose wrinkled as she mulled that over, one leg swinging over the edge of the bed. "You mean like... nicknames?"
The only really good friend that Sasha had was Jerry, and he didn't really have... any code name for her. That and she wasn't entirely sure what was going on between her and Jerry.
They hadn't really had a moment to talk about it, and after the meeting, he'd hugged her.
"Clerise calls me whirligirl," she looked thoughtful. "Do you think I should come up with a nickname for Jerry, too?"
