Bix had been sneaking around. He wasn't very good at it because it was just him looking around a lot and trying doorknobs until he found one that opened onto an empty room with a computer in it. It was some sort of lab full of science equipment but there was a computer in the front and back of the room. So excited he'd found a room he hadn't closed the door all the way behind him. The sun hunter settled at the computer and immediately seemed lost. He was alright with computers. He knew how to get pirated music and movies, he played a lot of games. But the computers at Deus were always a project and it seemed like every individual computer had a nerdy hunter somewhere who coded it and hacked it into doing certain things. He began the tedious tap-tapping of finding the information he was looking for.

She probably should have been out doing something productive. Like training. And working to improve her fighting skills. Or even just learning to put more trust in Vashi. Useful things for one whose life depended on their skills in battle.
Yet Infinity was not training. Wasn't even anywhere near (at least she didn't think she was) the training fields. Nope. She was on a mission of her own.
A mission to explore more of the Island.
Which had led her curious self to an area she had not been to yet. After a few quietly opening of doors, Fini had found a lab...or two. But no one seemed to be in them at this time. At least, no one worth bothering. It was almost creepy. Like the perfect scenario for a slasher film or something.
:: A what? :: Vashi inquired lazily.
:: A movie. Y'know, moving pictures? People getting their heads chopped off? Romantic trips on large boats? ::
There was no response.
Thankfully, she found something else to think on. And not her lame explanation of what a 'movie' was. Out of all the doors that she'd passed, only one was cracked open partially. It instantly drew that devious side of her to tip toe over and peak in.
And sneak in behind a certain fellow sun hunter.
"Whatcha doin', Bix?" She loudly whispered. From right behind him.

"AH JESUS." Bix jumped when the voice came from behind him. He spun to see Fini, curiously peering over his shoulder. "You scared the crap out of me." The albino turned back to the pale blue glow of the runic computer and poked a few keys. Some navigation windows opened up but a lot of the file names were confusing. "Trying to find some information. But.. I'm not high enough security clearance or something." Bix grumbled and started clicking random things.

She stifled - mostly - a laugh as her fellow Sun jumped. And actually did laugh when he spun around to look at her. Fini just gave him her most innocent expression. "Did I?" She gave him a mocking look that quickly turned sly. "And what is it you're doing that has you so jumpy, hmm?" Fini looked around him again.
None of it made any sense to her. Aside from the fact she could tell that:
a) It was a computer b) There were windows popping up c) Bix was a total computer nerd, wasn't he?
"What kind of information?" Fini asked, moving to stand beside him and watch the screen. Of course her curiosity was spiking! Especially since he didn't seem to want to be caught. Why else would he be sneaking around?!
"You're not doing anything bad, are you? Cause it better be something really worth it, if it is." Why yes, she had just invited herself to 'help' out.

"I found out that Deus keeps track of hunter bloodlines. They know that the abilities we all have are hereditary and so they track potential hunters through bloodlines." Bix turned to look at her. "I was on the list. That's the only reason I am looking. Someone in my family is or was a hunter and I may have more relatives I don't know about." he looked at her. "We're not supposed to know this stuff apparently. It's not our right to know. Psychic enemies.." Dr. H had made it out that further knowledge was above security clearance. He was only a trainee and thus worthless. Perhaps he shouldn't be just telling Fini this stuff but maybe H could have given him more info. Rebellious disregard for authority? Currently, yes. "Also women hunters can't have children. I thought you'd like to know if you didn't already. When I mean can't.. i mean they can't have human children. So don't uh..." Bix grimaced. "Get knocked up with a zombie baby." So it was obvious why he was being secretive.

It was almost painfully clear that Fini had not, in any way, been expecting to hear that. And something in her gaze almost seemed...lost. There was also a deep sadness that lurked somewhere in her eyes, though she showed none of that in her expression. "W-What...?" She managed to get out. "You're shitting me, right?" Oh dear God she hoped so. But if what he said was true...
Could she possibly find something within those files about her own family? Like who they were?
"You mean...the only reason I was tracked down, is because someone I'm related to...at one point, was a hunter?"
Okay. Okay that was a lot to take in. And she found herself actually closing the door slowly before joining Bix by the computer. A determined look in her eyes. "To hell with that, let's see what we find out?" Psychic enemies her a**. More like mysteries Deus didn't want to share with any of it's Hunters.
Rebellious at heart. That was her.
His next words would have probably earned the same reaction had he slapped her. Fini sucked in a breath and felt something in her gut all but drop. What? Alright so yes she might have heard something about 'not having children'. But not quite the way Bix explained it. Nor had it really dawned what they'd meant by 'can't have kids'. Not because her life was constantly riding on the edge of a sword. But because she literally couldn't have them?
"Wait. What?!" Not only were her cheeks lit up slightly, but there was an appalled look on her face. "Zombie babies?" Fini shuddered and couldn't help but wrap her arms around her stomach. "I might not be opposed to kinky stuff, but that is just...ewww."
Of course it took her brain a few extra seconds to catch up with what she'd admitted. And yep. Her cheeks were a lovely crimson color. "So...umm, ya find anything...yet?" Distractions. Best thing ever created.

"Not you." Bix specified. "Well I don't know maybe you. I wouldn't get your hopes up. They may not be tracking your family. Women can't have babies remember so you won't be popping out anymore hunters." He scratched his head. "Sorry I don't know your family situation or anything... but not every hunter is from a bloodline or whatever. Just some of them. And I guess if I go knock up some woman off of the island, they'll start tracking that kid too."
Bix poked some keys with exasperation. "Listen I don't know enough about any of this. All I know is that for me, specifically, someone in my family was a hunter. Because I saw my name on a list that said it."
Bix suddenly felt like he should have had more discretion about it. Now she had her hopes up that she was from some hunter family or gene pool. He'd gotten the feeling that it wasn't very common and if had been an everyday occurence than more people would know about it or talk about.
"I shouldn't have said anything. Not that I don't trust you but.. People aren't supposed to know." Bix then paused. "Except the baby thing. I feel like every girl should know about that. Zom-bie. Word exactly used by Dr. H."
He went back to clicking things. Various text files seemed like a foreign language to him. Maybe they were a foreign language? He leaned in close. Or was this math?
It must be complicated if he couldn't tell. "I can't find anything on this thing."

Well, at least she was used to running into such dead ends like that. Really, Fini wasn't too upset. She'd lived too long with never knowing much about her family. And that was fine by her. Fini merely raised an eyebrow at Bix, snorting at his last comment. "You aren't planning to put that last to the test, are you?" She teased.
She sighed and leaned closer to stare at the computer, shoving back her thoughts of possibly having had the chance to learn more about her family. "It's alright. I'm glad you did, actually. It's very interesting and makes me more curious about Deus." Fini murmured, not at all upset, though maybe a very tiny bit of disappointment. Except for the baby part. That rankled her. And she was so going to have nightmares at the mere thought of zombie babies.
Ohgod....
Zombie. Babies.
Scarred. For. Life.
Clearing her throat, Fini stepped up close - as in leaned in against Bix to push him slightly to the side - and looked at the screen with a frown. She was not illiterate when it came to computers, but what was this crap? "What the hell? That ain't even in English is it?" Fini attempted tapping a few keys, though mostly let Bix screw around with it. "Wait...that part there. Click that, see what it does." She paused. "And if the computer crashes, it so wasn't us."

He clicked it. Music blared out of the computer and a Nyan-Cat with Caelius's head streaked across the screen leaving a pale blue runic trail. THE MUSIC BLARED. "s**t s**t!" Bix started clicking madly, hitting the keyboard, until it shut up and closed. "YOU DID IT!" He pointed at Fini as she pressed down into him to get at the computer. Was there a boob on his shoulder? CRAP DON'T THINK ABOUT IT.

She may have jumped.
And clung to the young man in front of her.
No she was scared or anything! Just startled. There was so totally a difference. And what the hell was that? Fini blinked stupidly at the Nyan-Cat. With-
"Was that Caelius's head?" She whispered, almost as if afraid to speak.
Until Bix was pointing fingers at her.
"I did not!" She shot him a dirty look. "You clicked it. I merely suggested trying to click it." Which was obviously was her fault in the end. Not that she was making it that easy for him!
And no. She had not quite let go of Bix, staring at the screen as if waiting for it to actually explode.
"Why don't...we try clicking something else...?"

Bix turned a bit pink once he'd killed the crazy program and realized the other girl was so openly clinging to him. He wasn't used to girls acting like that. They were either super bossy, super nice, or safely snug into the 'just friends' category. He didn't know Fini enough for her to have been mentally categorized yet. "Yeah good idea. Lesee.." He leaned forward towards the screen, clicking folders. There were clearly lab related files on FEAR, minipets, runic technology. Several wordy essays were opened, glanced at and ultimately closed. The albino was frowning noticeably. "What's this.." he clicked a folder that said 'ARCHIVES'. It was filled with other folders, most of which had people's names on them. It seemed that the hunters who used this particular server kept their own personal folders. "Hey.." even with pink cheeks he turned his head to Fini. "Wanna snoop in people's stuff?" How could you not be curious?

Okay. Okay, she was fairly sure her heart rate had dropped to normal levels again. Which should - in theory - allow her to stop clinging. Right? Right. Fini felt a bit of warmth reach her cheeks as she finally released Bix.
And pretended nothing had happened.
"Just...uhh, let's try not to click one of...those again?" She suggested with a shaky laugh, watching as he clicked through folders again. Boring. Boring. Might be useful. Boring. ...what? She was starting to doubt that they would find anything worth even looking at.
Not that this had kept her from, not clinging, exactly. But leaning in closer to peer over his shoulder. Personal space? What nonsense is this you speak of!
She glanced down at Bix when he looked up. Was he pink in the face? Why yes. Yes he was. And yes, she was going to ask him about it and point out the lovely shade of pink on his face. But he distracted her. By igniting that curiosity of hers.
"Well...if it's there..." A slow grin spread along her lips. "It would be...insulting for us not to take a peek!" Clearly, she could not resist.

Bix nodded and clicked on 'BOB'. The only thing in it was a graphic essay on freak hunter STDs. There were pictures. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Bix button mashed the 'X'

What.....just...what....
Her hands flew up to cover her ******** s**t I need bleach for my miiiiind!" What the hell was wrong with the owner of this file?!
Don't be sick! Don't be sick! That would not be very feminine of her now would it?
"H-How about....something that doesn't say 'BOB'...?" Fini whispered, peeking from between her fingers at the screen.

"Ok.. huuuurhhhhkkk..." He was dry gagging. "Ok.. I am never... ever .. having sex again in my whole life." Not with zombie babies and mutilating STDs. "Please you pick something. How about someone we know... OH HEY.." Bix pointed at the screen. "Allan-taichou." A folder called 'ALLAN' had been skipped over. "He's into anime and stuff so it can't be bad right?" Bix didn't click though, he was waiting for the okay. What if it was something horrific?
