Setting and Story Development

Welcome to SDRP's Setting and Story Development subforum where we encourage members to post their setting and story ideas for comments, suggestions, and critique from the community as well as for GMs to use as a construction zone for their RP threads.

What is this subforum for?

RP under construction threads: GMs can start their RP threads here, get them all polished up and good to go then either copy/paste the posts into the main forum or PM a Crew member to move the thread from here into the main forum when you're ready to go.

Setting references: GMs with a lot of information about their worlds can keep a world reference thread in here and link it to their RP thread.

Setting/story ideas: post ideas for help in developing them.

Providing feedback on other's settings/stories: give polite critiques, suggestions, and comments on other's posts.

Who can post here?

Any member can post settings/stories here but please do limit it to one thread per setting/story. You may put multiple settings/stories in a single thread but please, do not make multiple threads about the same setting/story. Any member may also provide feedback on other's posts just keep it civil and try to have something worthwhile to say.

Who's in charge of this place?

Jikial.

Help Me~

Asking for help is the first step in getting it so if you want feedback on what you post be sure to ask for it somewhere in your post to let us know you're open to critique. Be prepared get blunt advice though, not every comment is going to be "this is the most awesome thing ever!" even if your work is advanced there's always room for improvement.

As for giving feedback, we encourage everyone to give critiques and have some handy Advice on Giving Advice which includes a list of helpful Writing Resources you can point people to for help.
