Often known as the "sister planet" of Earth, Venus was actually inhospitable due to the scalding temperatures, sulfur oxide, and carbon dioxide prevalent through the planet. However, the "floating islands" constructed above the planet surface acted as filters for the atmosphere, converting carbon dioxide into oxygen for a more sustainable environment. The planet houses a wide variety of landscapes- not only the deserts and terraformed cities on the floating islands, but also mountains, grasslands, valleys, and plains.
Venus is also the most populous planet in the Solar System, housing about 500 million people, most of which are from African and Arab descent.
There is one slight hitch- the plants carry an airborne disease which has an adverse side-effect on humans. Known as the Venus sickness, it causes blindness to some people who come in contact with the plant spores, roughly about 0.1% of the population. The only known cure for Venus sickness is the Grey Ash plant; however, because of it being extremely rare and extremely expensive to purchase, it is a vital part of the black market on Venus.
One more thing: the atmosphere on Venus has a high helium content, resulting in a high-pitched voice. As such, you may want to take some pills to counteract the voice modulation.
