It had been a week now since Tolu had faced a Qyrhyeshti lioness by herself and come out victorious, though she would have a new scar or two to show for it - which, as far as she was concerned, was a good thing. After all, what was the point to winning a fight if you didn't have something to show for it, something that proved what you'd done and survived?
She was not a lioness an outside male was likely to ever find attractive, she was too small and stocky for their pointless ideas of beauty, but she had her scars to decorate her. If she were to choose to take a fellow Burkuteshti as a mate, these would serve her well. The more she thought about the possibility of that, however, the more she was beginning to consider not taking a 'proper' mate at all, and doing as her mother had done.
Tolu lay in the shade of the oasis, idly grooming herself.

Fighting wasn't something Chinedu enjoyed, but it was expected of him if he were to run into a Qyrhyeshti and it was something that got the adrenaline going. The lion didn't mind the scars it would leave on his hide, they were little mementos of the 'daring feat' he did. Unfortunately, battling wasn't enough to keep the male amused for long. In fact, almost as soon as the fight was over, he would find himself becoming bored, even more so if he would have lost.
Now, Chinedu was wandering the oasis, almost randomly. He was debating on going out and finding something to occupy his time and entertain him. Really, he had nothing that was tying him to the pride besides not wanting to go out in the heat any time soon. His tail swished as he slowly weaved his way through the shade in attempts to stay cool.
