Raikinti grinned and gave the wind-stallion who was his best friend a farewell shove of his shoulder, chuckling as Delrialto made some paltry excuse or another before launching himself skyward. He watched his best friend until he was little more than a bird-like silhouette in the sky, and then spun and launched himself back into the woods. Delri would -no doubt- be courting his mate for the next several hours, which left Raik at loose ends. Which meant -for the time being- he'd withdraw to the woods. There was a deer-track that he was fond of cantering along, his cloven hooves and agile grace serving well enough to allow him to follow it. Finding it, he launched himself into a run, weaving through the trees and their lengthening shadows. In no time at all he'd reached the length of his well-explored territory, and he slowed to a walk. The scent and sound of water made his ears perk, and he sped up slightly, realizing how thirsty he was. Hesitating at the edge of the brush, he craned his head into the open area that stretched to the riverbank, peering left and right to make sure there was no sign of predators. How brave did he feel today?

Tavshed The day felt good, safe..stepping lightly Tavshed kept his eyes focused on the shadows that gathered in places..trying to bury the growing fear. Luckily the gently brush of fur against his legs had the stallion smiling faintly, muscles untensing slowly. Bau his sweet little tiger striped familair would protect him..the little cat might not be big but, she made up for her lack of size with a strong personality. Strangers were treated to her mighty feline glare followed by a predatory growl. As they made their way through the forest he knew so well, something did feel different..his first thoughts were shoved away. No, he could smell something now..over the scent of sweet fresh water, the scent of someone else. Stallion or mare he did not know, trying to keep calm he continued to press forward hoping that if they maybe made enough noise the other would move away. Bau let out a faint little growl, her eyes focused on the opposite side of the little river cutting through the land. She had spotted the stallion before Tavshed who instantly became more alert his deep purple eyes peering through the brush at the stranger. Well..the stallion didn't look frightening, still Tavshed did not wish to take too many risks..he just wanted his daily dip in the river and a cool refreshing drink. With a nervous flutter within his chest he decided today he would be brave. Leaning against the tree nearest him Tavshed listened for the soft click as the fake gem at the front of his 'saddle' which loosened the cloth and sent it flaling to the earth with a tiny shake of his body. Bau who sat below him quickly pushed the cloth to the side, ready to watch over it and Tavshed's tiny plush that also had been named Bau. Speaking in his soft broken voice he instructed the tiger, knowing he couldn't dawdle for too long..he jsut needed to jump in..literally. "S-s-tay...s-shh." Takign a deep calming breath he let his feet step slowly through the grass, eyes downcast as he stepped into the cool water without much fuss or noise. Being silent was one thing he had definetly mastered.

Raikinti made mincing steps forward, out of cover, pausing with his hindquarters still shielded. He craned his head around a protective tree, and then back the other way, hesitating at the sound of distant noice and its approach. His ears flicked back and forward, tension sliding through him as he worried about exactly -what- was headed his way. He knew that Kalonas wandered in this place... That Skinwalkers roamed. And who knew what else? What if one of -them- was headed this way? And so he hesitated, scenting nervously, and relaxed slightly. No 'evil' in the woods... Another soquili? And a predator, but hopefully not something large enough to eat him. When the stallion appeared and moved toward the water, Raikinti's ears pitched forward in interest. His green eyes glittering with interest, the striped stallion slunk further into the open. "Uh.. Hello there?"

Tavshed Jumping at the sound of words, at the voice of the stallion Tavshed halted with the water up to his knees. Unsure and anxious he worked up his courage once more to glance into the others bright green eyes. So lively but, not filled with cruelty or anything bad..in fact he looked just about as nervous as Tavshed felt. Whisper soft voice escaping "H-hello..." Offering a small little smile he noted the stripes the male had..how interesting, a lot like Bau's stripes but not quite identical especially not in color. Still Tavshed found them very lovely to look at..shaking off the slightly embarrassing thoughts he dipped his head down to take a slow cool drink of water. The liquid cooled and, soothed his aching throat making it easier to speak if the unknown stallion so wished. Things didn't seem to bad..the male didn't 'feel' bad.
