cat_pirate I'm not frequent in the exchange (exchange prices, no MP) so I'm not totally familiar with the prices of these following items. I hope to have your honest opinions/truths on item prices so that I would get an idea if i'm offering a good price/being lowballed/losing much gold. cat_4laugh
Item's I'm currently questing:
1. Steel-plated ninja band
2. Horns of the demon
3. Fall of evening star
4.The Ringmaster
5. Shinjuku nobody
--------- on a side note:
I'm not an exchanger, for the fact that;
1. I hate refreshing the page every second
2. continuously type and bump on own thread
3. not finding the right item at the right time
4. getting a deal which other exchangers agree but doesn't send the trade
5. getting outbidded after the dealer says yes to send trade
6. dealer cancelling the trade because somebody offered 1k more on hb
7. having to wait for them to actually "sell" the item cat_rolleyes

This is different for every person, but I'll tell you my general guidelines that I follow: ideally I try to get as close to a 10% discount when buying in the Exchange. Also, when offering I look at the lower end price for the past month and first offer below that. When I'm selling, I ideally want around 95% of LMP (5% discount). So, my prices for these items would be:
Ninja Band: High traffic item, expect to see high offers and bids close to LMP
First offer: 9m
Ideal price to buy: around 9.3m
Ideal price to sell: around 9.8m
Demon Horns: Same as the Ninja Band.
First offer: 8.3m
Ideal price to buy: around 8.5m
Ideal price to sell: around 9m.
Evening Star: This is an item you can lowball on, because it's VERY hard to sell.
First Offer: 5m
Ideal Price to buy: between 6m and 7.5m
Ideal price to sell: between 7m and 8m.
Ringmaster:
First offer: 3m
Ideal price to buy: around 3.5m
Ideal price to sell: between 3.7m and 4m
Shinjuku:
First offer: a little under 4m
Ideal price to buy: around 4m
Ideal price to sell: around 4.3m
The ideal prices don't match, which is where the haggling comes in. You want to haggle to bring the price as close to your ideal price as possible.
Again, just a disclaimer: this is only my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. xp

Specially your general guidelines, they help tremendously in dealing with exchangers. So far I can say that I bought some of the items on good prices. Except maybe for shinjuku. mrgreen I bought one for 4.3m. sweatdrop I thought it was ok considering LMP is 6.5m. Thanks VP! ^_^ You are truly working hard for us. We appreciate it.

4. Pale Marionette
5. OMG
Just a quick "best price to buy" will do so that I'd get an idea. ^_^ I hope the prices listed here would help others who are questing for these items.

12-21-12: I went back to this thread/topic to re-read the prices before confirming a deal. rofl Kind of gives me a set of rules to follow in buying and selling or a feeling of contentment. rofl
I hope the other items can be priced too. :3
