If one cared to wander through in forests, around trees and over tangles of undergrowth that fought viciously for every inch of sunlight it could grab, one might occasionally come across a strech of terrain quite different from the norm. Such was the particular place where sat a young male, fur a riot of bright colors usually not seen combined in nature.
The male, Nightingale, had found this small rise when wandering the forest looking for a private place to practice his singing. It wasn't much more than a small hill, but it stuck out like a mountain admist all the flat terrain. Grass grew gleefully thick, taking advantage of the abundant sunlight from the absence of trees. Even a wildflower or two could be seen.
Gale loved this little rise. It wasn't so tall as to be noticeable unless you were right on top of it, and it was just tall enough that it gave him a better view of his surroundings. Quiet and private, it was the perfect place for the shy adult to practice.
He sat, watching, listening, and waiting. A particular cheerful thrill from a mockinbird put forth inspiration. Taking a deep, steadying breath, Gale opened his mouth and began to sing.
It was the most enchanting, lovely sound. A hush seemed to fall over the forest, until the only music provided came from Gale and the wind. It embarassed him how everyone just stopped and stared when he began to sing. That's why Gale rarely sang for anyone, even family, and always practiced in secret.

It wasn't really a good idea for someone unable to see to travel through a forest, but Chia wasn't one to sit around and do nothing. Ginka, his turtle, served as a decent guide making noises when he got to close to trees and skittering ahead to make sure he wouldn't stumble into a root or hole. The brightly colored male flicked his ears forward as they walked, so that he wouldn't loose the sound of the turtle over the other sounds in the area. They went on like this for quite a bit, Ginka leading rather happily while Chia followed behind and enjoyed the feel of the sun on his fur. After a moment the male stopped, ears flicking as the sound of someones voice reached them causing the blind noodle to frown.
He turned his head in the direction that the young voice was coming from and whistled to Ginka before changing his path to find whoever was singing. The small green and pink turtle caught on quickly, skittering to get in front of her noodle again and carefully picking their way through the forest and toward whoever was singing. As the moved closer Chia could hear the voice getting stronger, coming from a central spot now instead of a wide span of area. "Hello?" He called before coming to a stop, ears pricked forward once more as his unseeing, sea foam colored eyes stared straight forward.

Still caught up in the middle of his song, if Gale heard the voice calling out it hadn't yet registered in his mind. That was just one of his quirks. It took a lot to coax a song from the shy male, but once you got him started nothing could distract him until the song was finished.
Well, nothing he'd encountered thus far.
About two minutes after the voice had first called out to him Gale finished the last notes, a wistful tenor that seemed to echo as it merged with the wind. The wind rustling through the grass was the only sound in the void left by his voice, but slowly the sound of bird song began to return.

Even though he had called out the song continued and for a moment Chia wondered if it was perhaps a radio or something of the like instead of another noodle. He was determined to figure out which of his theories were true, so he pressed on, stopping only when the song finally did. The brightly colored noodle stood fast, tail swishing as he tried to judge just how far he'd come off of the path he had been on. "Ginka?" He softly called out the turtles name, and began to panic when she didn't answer him. Without his turtle he was as good as dead, he couldn't find food or a way out on his own.
While Chia had a mini freak out, Ginka had moved forward, head poking curiously out of the grass near Gale. She made a noise to get his attention before moving toward him. It would be a good idea to get another noodle to help her boy out. He'd come to far out for her to properly lead him back to safety, but she was sure that this little one could help.

Gale let out a tiny squeek at the sudden noise, head whipping around and bushy tail coming up between him and the intruder.
"Oh," he breathed when he spotted the brightly-colored turtle wiggling over to him, trying to calm his racing heart. He seriously needed to pay better attention to his surroundings, Harmony and Tempo had gotten him more than once like that.
"Hello there. You scared me," he said in his soft voice. It wasn't quite a whisper, but it was just so naturally quiet you had to listen carefully lest you miss anything he said. Gale leaned down so his head was level with the turtle's, his legendary shyness obviously not applying for this particular creature.
"Are you lost? You're a long ways away from any ponds or streams."
That was when a soft voice reached his ears. Automatically stiffening and assuming his neutral expression, Gale looked up and warily around himself. A small flicker of movement caught his eye, and for a moment Gale wondered how he could have missed seeing the male at the base of his hill; his colors practically glowed out here.
Gale shrank a little closer to the ground, his heart rate picking back up again. He didn't do so well when it came to meeting other Noodles...
((Gale got all big now <3))

Now that she had the others noodles attention the turtle twitched her small tail back and forth before making another noise, swiveling her head to the side so that she was looking at Chia. She knew that not many who weren't of Chia's blood-line could understand her but she was hopeful this boy had more of a brain than the others. Once she was sure that Gale had seen the other brightly colored male she started to head toward Chia slowly, sure that Gale would follow after her.
Down at the bottom of the hill things weren't nearly as calm. The blonde haired noodle was close to passing out from fear. He took a step forward only to stumble over a tree branch and land on his face. He didn't rise when he landed, instead he opted to lay there, breathing heavily as tears came to his eyes. He was sure that he was going to die, he was to dependent on others to be able to live out here on his own and survive. His mini pity party was cut short when a voice reached him, it was male and he was absolutely sure that it wasn't another turtle speaking. Quickly he lifted his head and turned it side to side as if trying to see. "Hello? Is anyone out there...? I-If you see a little turtle could you please bring her to me..? She's my eyes." He wasn't entirely sure if whoever was out there would answer but he could only hope that they took pity on his disability.
((I saw that <3 He's so cute! Do you want to continue this as him being a kit or just shift it up to him being an adult?))

((Switched it to adult, since we're not that far in yet. That way we don't have to work past the met-as-a-kit kind of barrier that sometimes pops up in case we wanna try for romance.))
Nightingale was still crouched close to the ground, frozen with indecision. It was quite clear what the turtle wanted; Gale fancied he'd even heard a firm command in that squeak it directed at him. How a squeak could be firm he wasn't sure, but just cause he had girly squeaks didn't mean everyone else did.
With slow hesitation Gale lifted his head from his tail and peered at the male down at the bottom of the hill. At some point he'd appeared to have tripped, and hadn't yet gotten up. That alone was enough to make Gale sit up; he might be shy, but he wasn't just gonna walk away if the male was hurt!
The sudden movement of the male lifting his head made Gale squeak again and flinch a little bit backwards. For a second he caught sight of brilliant green eyes, but they seemed to slid of him so quickly that Gale wasn't sure whether the male had seen him or not. He didn't see how he could be missed, it wasn't like his fur wasn't any less a riot of color. Maybe not as bright and with a lot more blue, but he still stood out.
Tiny frown on his face and having to fight his reluctance with every step, Gale straightened. He took a few steps forward, hesitant, then looked down at the slow-moving turtle. Should he pick it up? He wasn't even sure it knew where it was going...
Cautiously, in case the turtle objected and wiggled free to fall on the ground, Gale picked it up. Briefly he wondered whether it was male or female...
Slowly picking his way down the hill, heartbeat going a mile a minute, Gale finally stood a mere four feet away from the stranger. His heart felt like it was in his mouth at this point, so rather than try to speak Gale just set the turtle down and stood there awkwardly. What was he supposed to do now?

Chia sighed and rolled onto his side, eyes staring blindly off into the forest as his ears twitched. He could hear someone or something moving but they didn't speak so for now he stayed silent. He supposed he'd just stay here until Ginka returned, and if someone murdered him while he waited guessed it was just meant that it was fate.
The turtle headed forward, intent on reaching her noodle despite how slow she was moving. When Gale picked her up she didn't even think to struggle, but her legs kept moving intently. This particular turtle was happy to be carried, although to be honest her favorite place to be carried was on Chia's back. The trip didn't take long, and once she was set down she scuttled over to Chia and squeaked at him, in a rather angry sounding tone.
"Ginka!" The blind noodle smiled and moved his head, turning it so that it was pointed in her general direction. "You left me...that wasn't very nice." He told her before going quite as she squeaked at him a few more times. A frown curled over his lips as she talked about another noodle, causing him to twitch his ears around. "What do you mean there is another noodle here? I can't hear anyone...are you sure?" He asked as he shifted to sit up, eyes straight forward as he listened to his turtle talk.

Gale felt a blush burning his cheeks. He was quite positive the male in front of him was blind, given how his eyes just seemed to slid over him and he just didn't react at all to Gale's presence. He could just be pulling a really elaborate act though...
But, well... If it was an act he couldn't just sneak off. And if it wasn't then it would be terribly rude to leave without saying anything at all. Not that he wasn't tempted, but he did have manners at least.
"Sorry to intrude. I found your turtle wandering around, and thought I'd bring it back to you," Gale finally said, his soft, almost-whisper voice sounding a little quieter than usual. He waited, tensed, for the male's response.
