Flonne bit her lip in nervous habit as she waited in front of the restaurant. She couldn't even remember what kind of food it served. Chinese perhaps? The suggestion that her dear friend Cookie was more of warbled sounds every time she tried to play it back in her mind to distract her from what she was doing now.
Heavenly Celestia, what WAS she doing? Why did she let Cookie talk her into this mess? Sure, it was one to proclaim about all the wonders of love, but that was to other people for other people. She never really thought about dating or anything like that, but now here she was, waiting for her best friend's SON of all things. Sure, they were now both the same stage, but there had to be a taboo in this somewhere. She was there when he was born for love's sake! Still, Cookie seemed so happy with the idea that Flonne didn't have the heart to say no to her, so she waited nervously for Li to arrive.
"This is so scary...I've never been on a date before..." she paused for a moment, thinking of times she was hidden away on some sort of match she put together. "For myself," she corrected with a nervous laugh. A few people stared at her oddly as she chatted with herself, her oblivious to their confused stares.

'Go left at the first corner, then right. There should be a restaurant called, uh... China Paradise.' His mothers words echoed through his head as he followed to directions. 'Oh, and leave Weegee here. I'll watch him for ya. Don't want him causing any trouble. -sly snicker-'
Lì sighed as he wondered what this was all about. Why did he have to go there? Why was he going alone? Though, he definitely wasn't complaining about a Weegee-free day. But really... What was he supposed to get here? His mother nor father didn't tell him to get anything in particular, or to bring anything back. So what was going on here? He shook his head as he turned the last corner and came across the restaurant and... Flonne? Pausing, he stared for a moment at the seemingly frantic female before approaching her.
"Hey, Flonne... Are you okay?"

Flonne jumped a bit, too frantic to really notice Li's approach. She quickly settled down though. It was easier for her to calm down outwardly with people she knew around, even if that person was the thing she was fretting about.
"Oh, hello Li!" she chirped, fidgeting her tiny wings ever so slightly. "I'm fine, I was just wondering when you were getting here...." she paused...did...did Cookie tell HIM this was a date? "You're mom asked me to come and join...you know...get out of the house for a while..." She looked around. His Weegee companion was missing. "Have some time away from Weegee, get something to eat, chat, that sort of stuff" she laughed.

"Oh, i see. Mother did not tell me you would be here, she just told me to come here for no reason." He gave a light shrug. "Thought it was just her being random as always, you know...?"
There wasn't a single thought in his mind that this was a set up date type of thing. Just something silly his mother did for the fun of it, that silly girl. Lì looked around for a moment, then looked back to Flonne. "Thank goodness i have some time away from... Weegee. Well, why don't we go on in then?" he said, looking to the door before walking up to it. He may be A LOT like his dad, but he DOES have manners of his own. Lì opened the door and held it open.
"Ladies first." he said as he nodded to Flonne, motioning for her to go on in.

Flonne chuckled. "She has a tendency to exclude details, doesn't she?" she mused. She was still worrisome. Why hadn't Cookie told her son this was a date? She thought for a moment, then realized that Li was a lot like his father, and she remembered how against Ren was to dating, so perhaps Li thought similarly and she didn't want him to not come. Yes, that had to be it. And if they didn't hit it off, well it was just dinner between friends. Yes, perfect.
"Weegee has an..." she paused a moment, thinking of the right word to use. "...interesting personality. I can see how it could grate on one's nerves." she said with a nod before trotting through the opened door.
"Why thank you~" she chirped, smiling at him warmly.

He nodded in agreement. "That she does, but that's my mother for you i suppose." He had always wondered how his mother had always seemed so cheerful and such all the time. Strange how his parents seemed to be complete and total opposites. Lì has never heard of the saying 'Opposites attract', so maybe that's why he's pondered such a pair?
Lì followed after Flonne, gently closing the door behind them. "You're welcome." He glanced around. This place was semi-fancy. But not too fancy. "Yeah, he does. He's actually a lot like my mom, if you pay attention to them both. Except... Mom's is a bit more tolerable. Maybe because she knows how to be serious and helpful when Weegee... Weegee is all about goofing off, and always disobeys me." letting out an exasperated sigh, he looked around again. There was a sign that said 'Please, seat yourself. A server will be with you shortly!', so he pointed it out to Flonne.
"Would you like to chose the seat, Flonne?" He offered, his voice holding a hint of... Kindness? This was new, he was usually monotone, or angry toned.

Flonne peered around the restaurant, trying to find a suitable place to sit down. Li's voice seemed to be lightening, as opposed to the angry or monotonous sounds he usually produced. She liked how it sounded to be honest, but then again she preffered it when the people around her were happy.
She found a booth next to a window and motioned to it. "How about over there?" she asked. That way if conversation happened to fail they could always just revert to people watching.

"Okay, seems like a nice spot to sit. I like sitting next to windows, you get to look outside. Well, ladies first." He motioned for Flonne to go ahead and claim the booth and her seat.
The smell of the epic Chinese food filled Lì's nose. It smelled absolutely delicious. He couldn't wait to eat some of it.

Flonne nodded as she sat down. "So do I," she mused. "Sometimes it's fun to just watch people as they go about their daily lives," she said with a chuckle before looking around. Something did smell really good.
"I've only had Chinese once or twice," she admitted, looking at Li. "What do you usually get?"

Lì sat down across from Flonne and settled himself in. "Watch people...?" He tilted his head having never even thought of watching others. He peeked out the window to take a quick gander at the others outside. For the moment, they had no interest to Lì. Flonne had spoken to him, his attention went back to her.
"I... Usually get the Hong Kong Chicken. It's spicy, though. So if you don't like spicy i wouldn't get it. Mother usually gets Sesame chicken. Father usually gets something different every time. I would also recommend a side of egg roll. they are awesome." That had to be the most Lì had ever said in a somewhat happy tone. He failed to notice the change in his own tone, though.
The waiter eventually came out with the menus and placed them in front of them. "What would you like to drink?" The waiter, a male, had a heavy Chinese accent as he spoke.
Lì looked over to Flonne, motioning for her to order her drink first.

"Mmmm, sounds good," Flonne said as she thought for a moment, but it was interupped by the waiter placing the menu in front of her. She noticed that Li wanted her to order her drink first, so she looked to her server with a smile.
"I'd like a lemonade please," she said and watched the man scribble it down on his notepad.

"Ah, lemonade? Got it. And you, sir?" He looked to Lì.
"Oh, just some traditional hot tea, please." He nodded and offered a small but kind smile. The waiter took the order down and waved to them. "I will be back with drinks, have time to figure out your order!" The kind male wondered off to get the ordered drinks. Lì opened his menu to look through it, wondering if he could find something either new to try or something that Flonne might like.

Flonne realized that there were menus to look at once Li had picked up his, so she quickly picked up her own and looked at it, though not really to look at food. It was more of a barrier between her and him while she figured out what to do next. What does one do at a date? She didn't know as much as she would like about Li, so she really didn't know where to even start.
Whatever. This was just a friendly outing. She should be focusing on what she wanted to eat. She began looking at what Li had suggested. It sounded all right, but not what she was in the mood for.
"I think I'm in the mood with something with noodles in it..." she mused out loud as she scanned over the menu, trying to see if there was a certain section for something like that or not.

He listened to Flonne muse aloud, wondering if he should suggest something to her or not. Lì decided to look through the menu himself to find something new to try. Trying new things was always a good thing to Lì. After scanning the items on the menu, he made up his mind on what he wanted and peeked over his menu at Flonne.
"Uh... Would you like me to suggest something or... Have you found what you want?" He offered in a somewhat shyly-nervous manner.

Flonne blinked a moment, though she was still looking at her menu. She still wasn't used to the less monotone voice of Li's. This time he sounded nervous or shy, and she had to admit it sounded cute....
"I...uhhh...yeah, I found something! Thanks for offering though!" she said, making sure to hide her face with the menu to cover up the embarrassed look on her face. She was spacing out over his voice! How stupid was that?
