Danny sat there on her bed just staring at it. It was really here. This was actually happening. Oh s**t she was so terrified. What was she even gonna do when- No no, cut that line of thinking out. Roch actually shadowstepped to the demon dorms, running the rest of the way and barging into her room, his guitar ready. "What happened?" he demanded, ready to take on hunters or something dramatic. Then he saw... her. Alone. Well.
"Jack, Danny, what is it this time, you order pizza?" he asked hopefully, starting to sweat already.

"I'm a HOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB," screeched Danny, barreling straight into Roch with her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms around his neck. They were sweaty and gross but this was so much more important than her fiery needs.
Still suspended midair she unlatched her skull pin from her shorts and shoved it in Roch's face. "Look! Look see I passed and I'm a hob and I'm the best and LOOK."
Her smile couldn'tve been bigger. Not only was she seeing Roch after a long lapse of him being at his dad's, but she was also a hob and officially ready to take down the entire school with how awesome she was.

He stared at her. "Yeah? So am I," he said a bit blankly. "Which was part of why I wanted to skip out for a while, y'know? Summer vacation!"

"You are?" she said, still smiling, but now detaching herself from the purple-haired boil. She took a walk around him, and seemed to approve (what she was evaluating was beyond any of us).
She nodded and said, "Well I was one first," she wasn't, "So I'm the best." She seemed to take that to heart and said, "We should go celebrate or something!"

"I was one yesterday," he said, just because he had to. "But sure! Let's go party! Somewhere not here--there's way too much downer around here," he said, heading down the hall. "And somewhere that isn't over a hundred degrees on a cool day," he added. "Spookies?" he offered over his shoulder. "Cuz you mentioned pizza!"
No she hadn't, he had, but did that really matter?

Danny stuck her tongue out at Roch, flicking her tail menacingly, but jokingly. She would've been a Hob yesterday, but she forgot to fill out the appropriate forms, so it got delayed a day. Either way, she was one and there was nothing he could do that would take away the giddy feeling in her stomach.
She caught up with Roch in a few steps and said, "Spookies! Yes yes yes." She pulled out her phone and started dialing as best she could. "D'you think they'll have lady's fingers? I love lady's fingers ..."
Pick up pick up pick up.

"Hell if I know, we can ask!" Roch said, wishing his bike was up and running already. "Mannnn, I wish I had my bike," he complained. "Then I could bring pizza back!" he declared. "If there was any to bring back... which I doubt. I'm jacking STARVING."

"You couldn't take us both home on your bike!" she bantered back.
Not that she'd expect him too. Everyone knew Roch loved food more than people.
Still no answer on the telephone yet.

Rikki was most certainly not a hob. He often forgot he was a knob. He was also not even out of bed when his phone started ringing. He'd been awake (for how long was anyone's guess), but he was still tangled in his blankets, sweatpants rolled up awkwardly to his knees and face pressed into his pillow, as he watched SkeeVee out of sleep-blurred eyes. He hadn't even bothered to shoo Resin from his nesting place between the boil's shoulders.
Therefore, when he answered his phone, his "Hello," was croaked in a rather raspy fashion.

Danny's face fell for a moment when Rikki responded. It was so quiet and pathetic that she nearly didn't hear it, but she caught the end of the rasp. "You okay? You sound like hell," she said jokingly into the phone, but there was a hint of worry in her voice.
She gave Roch a look and waited for the response.

He coughed and cleared his throat, shaking off his holyjox so he could roll over. "Yeah I'm fine. Laying in bed." He couldn't say the concern in her voice didn't make him smile a little. "What's up?"

"Roch and I are going to Spookies. We're not bringing you any back so you better get your butt out here," she said much more amiably, considering he wasn't sounding like death itself anymore.
With that she closed the phone and kept walking with Roch. "How long d'you think its gonna take him? A minute? Two?"

Roch shrugged, not really caring. "He can catch up!" he said, still walking. "There is FOOD on the line here, y'know? I like Rikki just fine, but pizza--me and pizza, we got a THING," he told her, grinning evilly as he teased her about scarentines. "My date with it comes before your date with the chain boil," he declared.
Then again, it always got a bit awkward being around a couple, even if it WAS Danny and Rikki. Maybe he shoulda thought this through...

"And my date with you comes before your stupid pizza!" she declared, not really taking in the ramifications of the matter, and completely falling into Roch's taunt.
The conversation reminded her of the horsemen islands and she looked down a bit awkwardly. "Oh and uh. Sorry about what I said about Desiree ... before. You can marry her if you want."
