Artisan Stores

Jacobi Furs & Skins -- Specialty Fur and Fur Accessories, some tanning/skin work, run by Josselyn Jacobi, played by Akina Tokuwa

The shop is located in an area of town where most reputable businesses might not be. It is along the edge of the main road, but is several roads south of the artisan district. This is cause enough for many to avoid its doors. Thankfully, Jacobi Furs & Skins operates largely based on historic reputation and word-of-mouth. It is not typical for someone to accidentally wander into the shop; they have most likely intentionally sought it out.

The business was once run by Mikhail Jacobi, the current proprietor's father. Before that, his father, Henrik Jacobi, operated the trade. Even before that, it was brothers Nikel and Hersch Jacobi. The original shop was originally operated out of the home of Marietta Jacobi, mother to Nikel and Hersch -- before her sons made it into an actual formal shop. Currently, the owner is Josselyn Jacobi, a robust woman of 28 who takes her craft seriously and will accept no haggling.

Jacobi Furs & Skins is not a typical fur shop. It is mostly commission-based work -- very few 'ready to buy' items are on display. Patrons of this shop come for the trusted and skillful labor of the owner, Josselyn, who is known to work tirelessly. Her prices are nothing to bat an eye at -- she charges a steep but fair wage for the quality of her garments. However, it is well known that she will also barter with services and goods.

Hunters are likely to be familiar with the shop too. Josselyn is always staring at her window, happy to spot a hunter returning with a kill before he or she reaches the artisan distract and other interested buyers. She is exceptionally friendly with any and all hunters and is eager to take skins off of their hands.

All in all, if you are in the market for a high quality piece of fur clothing, chances are someone may have recommended Jacobi Furs & Skins.
