It wasn't long before Kavanna decided to lay down for a slight rest. She was exhausted. She had definitely obtained her taste of adventure for the day. It was bitter and made her want to vomit. Kav laid down upon a grassy slope for a moment, but soon her mind began to doze off into the night sky. The clouds above Serenia were beautiful and twinkled ever so dimly while the moon irradiated a beautiful cascading light upon the ground. Her mind just sunk in wonder, she would return to the fortress tomorrow, for now, she needed rest and slowly, her body began to fade to sleep.
Within what seemed to be just moments, she was startled awake by a screech. That same screech that she had heard at about sunset. Kav sat up with a start, still in minor pain from her bruises and cuts from the previous battle. But there in front of her, stood yet another Ysali dragon. Apparently the dragon was startled and offended by Kav's presence and decided to wake her up before attacking her.
"No! Not again! Leave me alone!" she squealed. The yelling only caused more frustration to build up inside the dragon. Suddenly, yet again, the vines sprouted from the ground within moments and wrapped around Kavanna completely, picking her up from the ground squeezing tightly. "Get away from this place, Dovaa. These are the dragon's lands. Your place is in that Celestial Kingdom of yours. Go back and never return!" an echoing raspy voice could be heard from within Kavanna's head. Dragons talk?! She was then tossed back a few yards, only to roll a few more when she hit the ground.
"What is your problem!? How can you treat me this way? I haven't done anything wrong!" she exclaimed from her lying position, almost too weak to rise to her feet.
An echoing evil laugh was heard by Kav's ears only. "Oh but Dovaa, you are oh so very wrong. You have trespassed for the last time. Get up and leave this place before I kill you where you stand." the voice boomed in her head. Tears began to fall to the ground, she was far too weak to do anything, especially get up and go like this dragon wanted.
Kav began to crawl to the best of her ability away from the current location of the dragon. Tears still ran down her face evermore. The grass was painful, stinging her cuts as she moved through the blades. The dragon screamed and flew up into the air, a shutter coming from Kavanna who still lay on the ground, almost motionless. What was going to happen? Was the dragon gone? The same laugh returned to her head one last time before the echo disappeared for good. She was alone again, even more broken than before. Her arms gave out from under her and she laid on the ground, finally as motionless as ever, falling into a deep sleep with tears rushing down her face.
