(Since the original thread, in IMO has enough stuff in the OP I've decided to start up a new one, since they have now started talking about Factions.) The Elder Scrolls Online Elder Scrolls Online Faction Profile: Daggerfall Covenant.jpg]During the second era, in a time before any previous Elder Scrolls game, the world of Tamriel descended into a four-way war. In an attempt to conquer the continent, the Imperials – natives to the province of Cyrodiil – made a deal with the Daedric prince Molag Bal. At the beginning of Elder Scrolls Online, players will join one of three factions that not only oppose the Imperials and Molag Bal’s undead army, but will also battle one another for the imperial throne. Three different alliances. Three different philosophies. Three different ways to approach the game. Which will you choose? Today we take a deeper look at the Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguard, and Orcs), represented by the lion on the ouroboros. Zenimax Online’s Take:“There is a lot of historical friction between the redguards and the bretons,” explains game director Matt Firor. “There have been a lot of little wars between them, and there has been as much internal fighting in High Rock as there has been with external provinces, but it’s a much more settled area and a little more peaceful. The Bretons have given the orcs their own homeland within their territory, and all three races like and respect each other. This faction is a lot more democratic than the others.” That’s all for now. Come back Wednesday when we take a look at the ruthless Aldmeri Dominion. And check out our Elder Scrolls Online Hub for even more ESO related content.

They plan on taking over the world. Submit or die,” explains game director Matt Firor. “The Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit) is like, ‘we’re going to kill everyone that isn’t us. You people are going to help us or else.’”

Today we take a deeper look at the Ebonheart Pact, represented by the dragon on the ouroboros. Zenimax Online’s Take:“About 50 years prior to the game, an Akaviri invasion came in and basically tried to take over,” says creative director Paul Sage. “What happens now is that the Dunmer and the Nords have formed an alliance because the attack was so bad that they realized they were weak to the Imperial rise. So they form an alliance of convenience with the Argonians. They’re surrounded by all these tides of opposing forces. They feel really threatened, so the Ebonheart’s entire purpose is to band together and make sure they’re no longer in danger.” ----------------------------------- Next week, they will take a deeper look at Elder Scrolls Online’s lore and quest system.

I have to say I DO NOT LIKE/WANT the Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians being grouped into the same faction. Those race's hate each other with a burning passion. Hell the only faction that makes any sense is the AD.

Yeah, well, maybe you should have thought of that before you went off with Veloth there Dunmer. >.< In all seriousness, I think each province should have been a faction in and of itself. And what the ******** is up with the Kahjiit palling around with the douchier of the Superior Race? They aren't mer. They are kitties. WTF? emotion_donotwant

-Squints tiredly, arms folded, tail lashing and slapping here and there on the ground-
Aeerrr. Sithorn doesn't like this. He is racking his brain for why they would order it like this. Out of Laziness, surely. What tenuous little faith he had in this installment has shaken once more.
It had been said at time that Sithorn's people were of Mer, in the ancient times. The Lunar gift.
-Spits sideways and blinks-
Whatever it means, Khajiit do not take kindly to those of the Aldmeris Dominion as here outlined. Not until the end of the Void nights did any Khajiit trust Altmeri folk. The Bosmer- well, the conflict with them did not begin in earnest until the third era, but there is no evidence they ever got on well at the boarders, and the lore on each side describes the 'fundamental' nature of the conflict.
What a farce. In all of the cardinal directions.

And that's another thing, if I play an Altmer do I have to be a part of the Dominion? Cuz if that's the case then ******** this game.

I agree each race should have had its own faction, the way they have them grouped just seems like they tossed names into a hat and drew at random.
I really hope our race's are confined to a set faction. Well Byakko the Dominion was around before Tiber came and took over. It's the Thalmor that's bad not the Dominion itself. Granted the Thalmor were around back then, I just can't remember if they had the same kinda of power that they have now in the 4th Era.
Hell right now the only real information that GI has given is copy/pasted stuff from the 3rd Edition of the Guide to the Empire. I was hoping for a more in-depth look at each faction. Maybe we will get some more information that clears things up.

Well the last faction is up. The Ebonheart Pact. It seems that it's a very shaky alliance, something that with the right spark would send the thing crumbling. If this faction includes infighting and other things that could spark into a war from within then this pact makes sense. Come together to fight off a bigger threat, but not really keep your guard down as you know someone has a dagger at the others back.

Hope you don't mind my suggestions, boyos.
But If I were in charge of the hat game they implemented here to choose the alliances, I've'd it like this:
Imperials Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer Orsinmer, Argonians, Khajiit Nord, Redguard, Breton
Based off culture and relativity, o'course.

I see the factions like this:
Stability: Daggerfall Covenant - Meh. I give it a year before the infighting starts. First the Orcs start, then the Redguards, and finally the Bretons, only because they're stuck in the middle. Aldmeri Dominion - HURR. The amount of crap the Altmer spill out their mouths to keep the alliance intact amazes me. Worst, the Bosmer and Khajiit believe them. This alliance isn't gonna end for awhile. And if I remember my Tamerial Lore and History, the Aldmeri Dominion outlasts the rest anyway. Pointless to put these guys in here... Ebonheart Pact - This. Is. RETARDED. It doesn't matter if Skyrim, Morrowind, and Black Marsh are "surrounded by enemies". They hate each other because the Dunmer enslave the Argonians; The Nords have had a long history with elves. I give this less than a bloody year. I give it a month. Less, before a Nord kills an elf, then an Argonian stabs a Dunmer. If anything, the Argonians should have just allied with the Nords, then destroyed the Dunmer. But this wouldn't make sense either, so WTF.
Forces: Daggerfall - Pretty good, till the infighting Aldmeri - Not bad, if not for the fact they spout way too much dogma to notice the crap around them. Ebonheart - IOASBFOPIUAWPFGI9UANSPGOIUANHPSEIDFGN...
>mfw this game will interest me only enough to play as the Aldmeri, since their the most historical of the three. Never touching the Ebonheart though. I'd go on a rampaging killing spree if i played one of those races.

Even though they group my race with savages and slave's I'm still playing as a Dunmer no matter what.
Oh I don't mind suggestion at all. I welcome all input/opinions/whatever. I'm not a Thalmor agent lol.
I'd say you grouped them based on "race" Mer, Man, and "Beast Race" than culture.
