This time, we honor Father's day, opening another RP-based breeding contest!
This is open to the gents only! But if you break an existing pair to do this, you will be banned from entering at all. That is not fair to the other owner. I can't stop you from breaking a fling between your own gladiers, but no breaking existing pairs involving two owners, please!
Do you have a lonely man who dreams of being a father? This is a powerful wish and a life-long commitment to undertake! But a special star shines over the Spiraglades and some days it is more willing to hear wishes than others...well, for those gents who long for family, this could be the day for you.
Write out your gladier's wish for children and you may be blessed with 1-2 babies. This should be written as though the gladier in question is wishing on a star; but feel free to have some ambiance, surroundings, and circumstance!
Want something a little bit different for your gladier? Write your gladier wishing a bit more broadly for love and family. If the star hears their wish, perhaps a fated life mate will appear for your gladier. Same as the above, it doesn't just need to be just the wish itself, give me something sweet to read!
You are wishing on a star, so if your gladier just wishes for babies, the kit will have some celestial influence. I will roll whether you get 1 or 2 babies. It is up to you whether you want to keep or gift the offspring. If your gladier wishes for love, the pet I make will compliment your gladier, but will also have some celestial influence. You can, in your writing, attempt to influence the species of the female gladier; otherwise I'll just roll for it. If you play for a fated mate, it is a LIFE mate and you must gift it to someone else. Be sure you get along well with whomever you choose to gift, I will not allow the pair to be split up. Once you have gifted the resulting female (and it will be female, sorry) if you and the other owner complete 50 replies each [about 7 pages] of RP, I will grant a free breeding to the pair. It can be multiple RPs, it doesn't have to be one long one. (The breeding will be done by whomever colors the life mate.)
You may enter twice. But please make each wish in a separate post! It doesn't have to be one of each scenario, you can wish for babies twice or a mate twice, however, one gladier cannot enter for both scenarios! Entries will be accepted through Sunday, June 17th at 8P EDT. Any of the other colorists are welcome to select winners as well, just edit your name in below! We will choose our winners in the order our names are listed:

 Gaian :: Mia Lavinia Gladiers owned :: 22 (or I guess technically 23? one's on the way) Your Wish :: ChildrenAs the sun had just set, Yume finally emerged from her den. The first stars were flickering brightly, and the little Spica, aided by her wings, leapt onto the highest branches of the tree under which she took residence. It wasn't too long ago that she finally left the shelter of her parents' den, but she had finally decided she was too grown up to live with her youngest siblings.
However, watching her mother's younger litter grow up, helping them along the way, had moved something inside her.
She used to think babies were gross. Yet, now.. she couldn't help but wonder how it was to be a mother. Was it hard? How did it feel? She wondered how Lunatéa felt when she had her first litter, Yume being the firstborn.
The more she pondered, the stronger the need to know became. But then, she recalled she had been told that there could be no children without two parents. Why, she couldn't figure out.
Gazing up to the heavens, the grey Spica noted that one particular star seemed much brighter tonight than the rest. She didn't recall spotting that particular star before, either..
"Are you a wishing star, by any chance?" she muttered jokingly. The star flickered slightly, and she chuckled. There's no way a star could hear her, or respond. But then again, with nobody else around, a wish wouldn't hurt anyone. It's not like her siblings were around, for her to keep up appearances.
She pressed her front paws together, looking up at the bright star, taking a few breaths as she thought about her wish.
"If, by any chance, you are a real wishing star.." she started, "I.. I really want to know what it's like to be a mother. I'm the eldest of seven siblings, but sadly I have no mate to start a family with.." saying that out loud was embarrassing even when she was sure nobody could hear her.
"So, what I mean is, uh, I really wish I could have children of my own, some time soon. I'd do my best to be as good a mother as mine was to me, my sisters and brothers.." her forehead marking pulsated with light, revealing her excitement. The little female then brought her paws back down on the branch, sitting there in quiet contemplation for a little longer, before moving on to her regular nighttime activities.

While it was a somewhat childish notion, she found it a wonderful thought. She'd never wished on a star yet, as she wanted to be absolutely certain of what she wanted before she did so. She wouldn't want to bother the stars with silly nonsense, no no! Only the most special and important wish would do.
Tonight, she lay on her usual rock in the middle of her favorite flower field. She noticed a few shooting stars in the corner of her eye, and turned her head slightly. Then, her gaze fixed on a star that shone much brighter than even the North Star. Was this the special star she had been waiting for? She had finally discovered the thing she wished for the most in all of the world.
Slowly, she sat up, sweeping her hair out of her face with one paw, turning to fully face the bright star she was gazing upon. Her heart pounding a little, she crossed her paws in front of her.
"Oh, star.. I have a wish I would give anything to have come true", she thought, being unable to speak but trusting that the star would understand her. "I dearly wish I had someone, someone by my side to share the nights with, someone to curl up beside in my den when the dawn breaks.." her eyes slowly welled up, for being nocturnal did indeed often mean a life of solitude. She had an elder sister who shared this trait, and she had been lucky enough to find a kindred spirit, and they'd been blessed with numerous offspring. "I wish I had a life even a little like my sister's - a mate and eventually a family of my own, for it's lonely like this.."
A single tear rolled down the Spica's cheek, falling onto her paw.
"Being mute, it's very difficult to even make friends. Oh, kind little star, please let me meet someone I could communicate with even without words. I wish to love, and be loved. I want nothing more in the entire world", she sniffled silently, wiping her eyes, laying back down on the rock, her gaze still fixed on the star. She smiled faintly, her tears drying slowly as she remained still for a while longer, hopeful that her wish would come true eventually.

 Gaian :: Reoakee Gladiers owned :: 3 including my ghost and one on the way ^.^ Your Wish :: Love Tamie curled up and sighed under the moonless night. Today had been another disaster to add to her list of failures. She had come to the gladier gathering today to try and socialize. Rubido had pestered her to get out and talk, so she tried. She really did. Still it seemed the only gladiers she could really speak with where little ones. They were always kind and honest enough that somehow they didn’t scare Tamie like most of the adults. Thinking of her failing made her wonder what it would be like if she were a mother. Grimacing she shook her head. It would never happen; after all to have little ones meant that she would have to have to find someone who didn’t scare her. The only adult gladiers that didn’t scare her where Rubido who was like a brother to her, and the gladier named Quinn who Tamie hadn’t seen in forever and didn’t really even remember all that well. Looking up Tamie noticed that the clouds were obscuring most of the clouds in the sky. Somehow seeing that made her feel even lonelier than before. She stood up to head home after spending all day as a wallflower on the edge of the glade. As she started to walk a warm wind blew softly caressing her fur. Tilting her head to enjoy the feel of the breeze playing across more of her fur she noticed something. A single star shone out against the black of the night. It’s glow was as warm as the wind that had just come by. Tamie smiled up sadly at the star as a strange thought crossed her mind. She had heard wishing on the stars was good luck, still she didn’t really believe it could happen to her. Feeling a bit embarrassed she looked around first and realized it didn’t matter if she wished or not. No one else was with her. What could it hurt?
“Star up high, I know you’re probably not listening and that’s ok. Since I don’t really expect you to.. but if wishing on you is good luck I was wondering if maybe I could wish on you?” She closed her eyes and thought for a moment before actually deciding to say her wish aloud. “I wish I could meet someone out there who was for me. They don’t have to be perfect or handsome or anything like that, but I just wish there was someone out there who could love me… ” She sighed knowing that it was impossible but still wondering why a small part of her hoped that wishing on the star really did work. Shaking her head she headed for home. Maybe tomorrow she would go and visit Soupi and play with him. He was a sweet little one who’s cheery attitude always made Tamie feel just a bit better.

 Gaian :: xdeathxbyxlove Gladiers owned :: 8 Your Wish :: babies RP entry Kalanie looked up at the brightest star she could find and sighed. She didn’t know why she was doing this foolish thing. Wishing on a star like it’s going to come true. She looked around the area to make sure no one was watching her and looked back at the star.
“Hello there… Mr. star.” She didn’t even know how to address the star. “So I was hoping you could help me out with a slight request that I have. You see I would like to have children. I know, I know a big shock to you. It’s a big shock to me too. I want babies.” Kal wiggled her tail. Why she felt nervous talking to a star she didn’t know.
“Well I want kids because I really would like to have someone to love me and for me to love them back. I know they are a big responsibility but I believe that I could handle that responsibility. Just think about little ones for me to raise.”
She smiled as she the thought of having her own chileren to look after and protect. "So many things I could teach them." She looked from the star to the left of her where a down the hill that she was atop where little childeren glaiders playing. How she envy the parents. They had something that she had always wanted but was too afraid that she would never get the chance to have someday.
She looked back at the star and sighed once more. "I don't know if your real or not wishing star. I kinda feel a little weird looking up at the sky and talking to you like this. But if by some lucky chance that you are real then i hope you grant my wish.

Yawning, as she was not one who stayed up past sunset, Soleil laid down in a fluffy little patch of grass on top of a hill. The stars beautifully sprinkled across the night sky. She tried to blink away her sleepiness, but was not prevailing; still the little cetus spoke up.
“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star…
How I wonder what you are…”
She paused for a long moment, presumably because she had actually dozed off but she spoke again. “I know I normally don’t get to see the stars, but you’re just like the sun right… just really far away? I’m wondering if I would make a wish on you one of you…”
Rolling on to her back to look up at the sky, finding the tiniest star she could presuming it was the farthest and hadn’t heard from anyone in a while. “If you could please…find my mate. I know it sound selfish of me, but maybe you could push me in the right direction… or him? Someone that is just for me, that I can love forever and can love me just the same.” She smiled to herself, just lying there looking up at the stars asking for such a silly thing. “I know he’s out there… he has to be.” Soleil’s blinks slowing before she finally drifted off to sleep knowing she would find him one day…Who knows? Maybe tomorrow.

Her heart pounded as she looked at the sky, eyes narrowing gently. How much it hurt seeing other families, remembering her own family that never truly loved her. Nyx wished for a family, and yet she wasn't secure enough in who she was to seek out the beginning of a family, a mate. Yet, why would she? She didn't need a mate, why couldn't she just have kids? At the end of the day, why she desired most of all was children. The idea of having a mate frightened her, for her family was known for sucking on the necks of their loved ones. She never met a kind vampire, either, and so she simply hid from mating.
However, children meant little half-lings. She would never crave their blood. She would never wish to harm them, and they never her. Unconditional love on both sides. Children were beautiful and unique and so special... Her heart ached at the idea that perhaps she would never have any.
Looking up at the sky, memories of when she believed in wishes coming true flooded her mind. That was when she was an innocent child. Now? Hardly. Her eyes narrowed gently, again, and tight lips parted.
"I wish for children. If only you could grant me my wish. If only you could hear me. I'd surely name them after stars. I'd surely love them as if they were the only stars in a night that is solely mine. If only you could grant me this."
Such a silly notion... A small, sad smile touched her lips before she turned and began to leave.

 Gaian :: Bluedemonwolf Gladiers owned :: 1 and 2 ghosts Your Wish :: Love Nights usually consisted of hiding behind things and jumping out to scare any passerby's. Not that many were out at night. However this night was different as Nergui wasn't hiding at all but standing in plain sight in the moonlight. She was staring up at the sky, gazing upon the many stars. A small sigh escaped as she looked down. She hadn't really gotten out to meet others. The only time she came in contact with another of her own kind was when she was trying to scare the daylights out of them. It was a lonely existence and it was starting to bother her. "Isn't there supposed to be something more to life?" She asked herself. Before she would never consider this. Life was about scaring others and having a good time. Now she didn't think so. Again looking up at the stars she remembered something she overheard once while laying in wait. Someone had chanted something and made a wish upon a star. Did stars really grant wishes? There was only one way to find out. "Star light, star bright, the first star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I make tonight..." She started pausing for a moment to think, "I wish I could have someone to share the nights with and to make them a fright!" It certainly would be nice to have someone who shared her love of scaring others and have some company. She didn't know anything about being in love with another but surely she could learn about it if she had a mate.

Kisa glanced up at the night sky, her brother asleep beside her. Large yellow eyes peered at the sky, teeth nibbling on her bottom lip as she pondered. Her brother slept loudly, his snores scaring off any bunnies she could play with or any birds she could sing with. Yet, as she glanced down at him to give him a scowl she could only smile, her tail wagging quickly and cheerfully.
Her brother was the world to her, she loved him more than anything else. Yet, this love came with a price. He would not allow anyone near her, not allow even Thanatos (a male they had met a long time ago and was clearly a sweetie) near her. She was not allowed to make friends, nor to have a crush. If he ever caught her giving another male anything other than a quick glance he became overly-protective, shoving her to the side and snarling insults at the other.
She loved Fakir so much, yet... this love was not enough. Kisa was lonely sometimes. No, she had her brother so it wasn't lonely as in needing a friend. She wanted that special love. She wanted someone to fight for her, to kiss her paw and love her for her, including her brother. Someone who wouldn't run away when her brother suddenly lashed out. Someone who wouldn't attack her brother, either. Someone all hers.
Yet, she hadn't ever met that someone. She had met men before, and they all either ran away because of Fakir or lashed out at him. Her heart would sink and she would feel that familiar feeling of disappointment. She just wanted someone to love her enough to never leave. Someone to kiss her tears away and curl into her. Someone that could tolerate, perhaps even befriend her beloved twin. Someone who would love her for her, and accept that she would not love him if he did not accept the existence of her over-protective brother.
Her eyes raised to look at the sky, eyes narrowing and locking onto the stars. Her heart pounded as she thought, ears lowering. Shaking her head, she pressed back into her hind legs, head raising.
"Stars." She pleaded gently, quietly as to not wake Fakir. "I wish you were wishing stars." She whispered, looking down. "Then again, how can you tell a wishing star from a regular star?" She paused in her words, head shaking. "It doesn't matter, because being a normal star or a wishing star does not change how special a star is."
Sighing softly, the female toyed with her clothes before looking back up. "If only you could grant me my one wish. Someone that would love me, that would cherish me and I would cherish back. Someone not intimidated by my brother. Someone that won't run or hurt him, either. I wish I had someone special just for me." Her brother stirred. Looking over, she sighed as she looked up at the stars, breath catching in her throat.
"Sometimes, it can get awfully lonely, even with my brother."

Would have loved to make some babies as well, but unfortunately I don't think I'm inspired enough by just the mother's appearance. xD;;
