Fūma Kotarō and Tsuruhime…
there are different races in Silia, the island county Lilthia is on
Humans: the most common, they have subdivisions.
Ninja: Silia's land defenders and scouts, they act like ninja you think of today. There are two types: the ones that wear black and the ones that wear silver. The ones that wear black have no magic whatsoever, and are trained as such. Those that wear silver can manipulate magic (generally the magic of others), and therefore are most often found in places heavy with magic, such as the Academy.
Pirates: Silia's navy, basically. They spend most of their time at sea, and stay sober. Their outfits are like a traditional pirate's gear, but with leather armor.
Pija: pirate-ninja crossbreed, more common than you might expect, as pirates and ninja do not have a rivalry on Silia. Outfits are a cross between the two.
Townspeople: live in the few towns that are scattered throughout Silia, primarily Lilthia Village or the Capitol Trilia. Outfits vary, but are generally tunics with both genders.
Farmers: more common than townsfolk, they live on farms that are EVERYWHERE. Most live on a collective farm called Crying Farm, called that due to its geography. shirts and breeches, both genders.
Elves: Not as common as humans, they hide in the forests, though they send their children to Lilthia Academy if they show powerful magic their schools cannot teach. Most live in the Forest of Tears or Hair Wood, the latter surrounding Crying Farm. Those that live in that forest do help on the farm. wear robes.
Fairies: tiny winged elves, extremely rare. Live in the Mountains of Randomness. One only sees a glow to indicate that they are there
Dwarves: rarer than elves, they are found either underground or in the Mountains of Randomness. Nomadic people, have no towns. Have no magic, unless you count their ability to sense gemstones and such.
Crossbreeds: human/elf, elf/dwarf, dwarf/human, hardly any exist, but those that do live by the Dark Sea, which is actually a lake in the center of the island, or even Hi and Bye Islands, located southeast and southwest of Silia, respectively. They never have magic, and therefore are never seen at Lilthia Academy. Clothes suited for their job
Ghosts: Unswervingly loyal servants of the Headmistress, no mortal can see them. They all have lost their memories, due to having been bad students at the Academy, and live in bondage. They are unable to have their own independent thoughts: the headmistress knows what each and every one are thinking at any given moment, as do the others.
