Dunstan steered him to the carnival with a smile. Hoping the boy wouldn't think of this jesture as a childish one.

Kai was a little nervous with Dunstan's hands on him, but he tried not to show how it affected him. He smiled when he saw the carnival, he'd always wanted to go to one, but he never got the chance.

"Where do you want to go first..?"He asked in a soft tone as they neared the admission stand. He took out his wallet and payed for their entry and made sure he had more than enough money spend for his young soon-to-be partner.

Kai Looked around, a smile lighting up his face when he spotted the roller coaster. "Lets goon the roller coaster" he said, taking his hand as he pulled him along. He was really excited, so he didn't even notice that he had grabbed Dunstan's hand

Dunstan felt a rush of heat up his neck and willed it to stop at his ears. He had never blushed before, let alone to a person. He smiled at the thought that Kai was willingly holding hands with him- scratch that- HE grabbed HIS hand. The thought of it gave him butterflies inside. Never bothering to ask why when he looked up at the ride with a dreaded look.

Once they were in line for the ride, he noticed that he was holding Dunstan's hand. He quickly let go, and looked down "Sorry" he said in a scared voice, hoping he wouldn't be hurt for accidentally grabbing his hand.

Unexpectadly landing a kiss on the boy's mop of hair, Dunstand was in too much of a happy mood and lead them to the ride. Both ended up sitting 3rd up front with the safety device pressed against their abdomen. His excitement peaked when the roller coaster started up the first high hill tracks.

To say he was surprised when he felt Dunstan's lips touch his head was an understatement. As the car began to climb up Kai sudden;y remembered he was scared of heights. He wrapped his hands around Dunstan's and hoped for the best

Dunstan smiled when he felt a hand clinging on to him. He laughed and screamed a few times during the ride, all the while keeping a firm hand over Kai's. Reassuring him that everything was fine. After the ride, Dunstan still held on to the boy's hand and asked"Do you want some cotton candy..?"

Kai tilted his head to the side "Cotton candy?" he asked, trying to remember if he'd ever had it. "Sure." He didn't let go of Dunstan's hand as they walked, he liked the warmth and security that came from it

With a smile, Dunstan dragged him to a nearby cotton candy stand. He let Kai get closer to the machine that makes it as the man handed them two sticks to try it out themselves. He mouthed a thank you to the older man and showed his boy how it's done; twirling the stick into the machine as the cotton quickly formed around it.

Kai bit his lip as he tried to twirl the cotton candy around it properly. When he pulled it away it as slightly lopsided. He took a bite, and his face lit up. He groaned softly, it was so good. "This is so good!" he exclaimed, almost bouncing up and down

Dunstan held his upward and laughed. 'He's so cute!' he thought while watching the boy eat. Looking around, his attention was caught to the stands that held stuffed toy prizes. He smiled and asked"Do you want to play some games or ride some more?"

Kai looked around, the rides did look fun, but the games were almost calling out to him. "I think it would be fun to play some games" he said, now trying to decide which game looked the funest
