Welcome to the How To Play forum. If you're here, I assume you're just joining the ranks of our dungeon crawlers. Before you dive headfirst into this forum, there are a few things you need to be aware of.

1. This forum is in no way a substitute for reading the Player's Handbook.
I, along with other crew members, will be elaborating on the rules and features found in the book, but you will need to go over things in the Player's Handbook for a full understanding of the game. There are several ways to get a copy of this book, from heading to your local library and searching for a copy there to heading to a local hobby store or collectibles dealer to buy a copy. There are other ways, *cough* downloading a copy *cough,* but those ways are completely at your discretion, and we cannot condone or condemn these practices.

2. The threads in this forum are all aimed at the v3.5 ruleset.
There are several sets of rules, and several sets or variants to ever set. The most common in this guild is v3.5, so that rule set will bet he one covered here. Should members in the guild request rules or campaigns from other sets, we may decided to include those rules in the How To Play section. I do not want my inbox filling with messages about how the rules I post here are outdated. I know this - v4.0 is out and is being used by a large number of players. If you want to start a v4.0 campaign, by all means go ahead.
