Mkulima sat crouched in the brush along the right side of the path. The golden sunlight dappling through the trees helped hide his budding mane, and he fought to stifle the swishing of his tail from eagerness. His paws were stained with red berry juice, but it was invisible against his ruddy fur. He'd set a trap, and the next lion to come wandering down the path towards the beach would get quite a surprise! It was getting harder and harder to manage, of course, as the pride had gotten somewhat used to his antics in the past months...but that just meant he had to step up his game. Lucky for him, he didn't have to do it alone.Across the path crouched Mkulami, similarly poised to pounce. Unlike Mkulima, her paws' juice was visible--a faint green hue from mashed up plants. Their plan was plain to anyone who could see it. When someone came by they'd be pounced, and painted red and green before they knew what hit them. That was the plan at least. She wasn't sure about 'Lima's ideas all the time. Hers were far better of course! But it was his turn, so why not? She just hoped it was someone with pale fur who came by next, and that they did it before her paws dried out!

It was a nice day to go to the beach. The sun was out and there didn't seem to be any sort of hint of a storm. The breeze was just right and everything just seemed like the building for a nice day. Guifi wasn't about to pass up such an opportunity as that to not go out and look for what he sought. So with out much thought the big lion took to the beach. Unlucky for Guifi, he was the next lion to wander down the beach. His obsession with jelly fish and the story he'd heard about them was only growing more and more curiosity. He had to know the truth and he'd need to get one of those stinging squishy things in order to find that truth he sought. So, with his head in the clouds and mind else where the older lion padded along the beach not suspecting anything.

"NOW!" Both twins cried at once as the wonderfully distracted male came sauntering by. They both recognized him as Guifi, and though his fur wasn't white, it would show the red and green goo well enough. Both youths sprang from where they hid, paws thrust out in front, dripping red and green. They aimed for his sides, swiping clawless strikes and stabs with their paws, determined to paint their own 'masterpieces' onto him. At the same time they both kept their eyes out for if he tried to grab hold of either of them...It was ALWAYS less fun when you got caught, literally!

One moment, Guifi was enjoying a stroll down the beach. The next moment, AMBUSH!? He wasn't sure what to do. The two bandit ambushers were both just cubs so he couldn't rightfully take a swing at them. No claw or tooth was felt on his pelt, yet marks were left. What ever had just happened was taking some time to register with the male. His jaw was left half opened. Finally the gears started to work again and Guifi reached out a large claw sheathed paw for one of the twins tails.

Mkulami was the unfortunate one who ended up being caught, her tail pinned tightly (and a little painfully) down. "Ow! Hey hey alright I'm done!" She plopped down on her butt and tugged her tail free, rubbing it with a sour expression. Mkulima came around to sit beside her. Aside from that his mane was just a shade longer, they really were identical. Even their voices sounded alike. Both stared up at the male with big blue eyes. Both were also plotting their escape routes for as soon as he looked the other way. "You're not gonna tell on us, are you?" That's it, play up the little cub angle. He'll buy that. Maybe.

Guifi stared down at the two very identical twins. His brow lifted at the two. Even though they were not the same gender it was very hard to tell which was which with out close examination of the tuff of mane the two sported. The big lion took a seat down and looked as if he was thinking. "No I'm not going to tell," Was the final conclusion he came to. "But you two have jellyfish duty. Thats if... you two think you can handle it," Guifi lifted his head high and peered down at the two. The lions big chest was slightly puffed out giving him the appearance that he was bigger then he actually was. The lion was doing this on purpose. The silly amused grin on his maw ruined the effect entirely. "So do we have a deal?" He leaned a little closer to the two twins.

Aha! Not going to tell! They were about to bolt in total opposite directions, but the male's idea interested them. Jellyfish? Those nasty things? They were slimy and stung and tasted terrible. Of course, that meant the twins had used them before in some trick or other. They shared a look and then fixed him with one. "Can WE handle it?"
"Who do you think you're talking to?"
"We've caught lots of jellyfish before!"
"Heh, yeah we have. We put them in mom's den once!"
"She was sooo mad. Oh and the time we put one on that sleeping lady?"
"Oh yeah! She ran SO FAST!"
"We can do that easy. How many you need?" The twins both got to their feet and pranced down the path, looking back to be sure he was coming behind them. "What're you gonna do with them anyways?"

The twins were excited and this made Guifi him self very excited about the hunt for jellyfish. Both of them were so eager and spatting off the mouth so fast it was hard for Guifi to tell just which ones voice he was hearing. They both sounded so much alike.
"How much do I need?" Really the lion needed just one but it looked like the twins were excited to go out and catch jelly fish. "I need the biggest Jellyfish you can find. The others you can keep to .. play with," There was a deciding nod. That sounded like a good plan. "Can you find me a really big jelly fish? Not just A really big one either.. THE biggest one you can find?" The lion was playing up to the kids egos.

Lucky for Guifi the twins were rather egotistical. Being handed anything they wanted and denied nothing, along with their continued success with these pranks had inflated their heads. A shared look--they could do with another night of jellypranks--and they agreed. "We can do it. Come to the beach so you can get it fresh!"
"We'll keep the rest, yeah. Don't tell anyone, okay?"
"We're not supposed to have them any more."
"Because we put them in people's fur and dens!"
"It's stupid though, they don't still hard at all when they're on the ground!"
The chatter went on and on, and they led the way down to the beach. With a whoop and no hesitation they charged into the surf, kicking up spray and splashing about. They tussled, rough housing for a time, then both gulped air and ducked under the waves to start the hunt for the jellyfish.

"Secrets safe with me," Guifi gave a nod to the two. The two had already begun their search in the surf but here didn't seem right. The lion watched for a small time before whistling.
"I think I know a better place," He gave them a jerk of his head to tell the two to follow him on down the beach. It was jellyfishing time.
