I don't know if I told anyone here about the troubles I'd been having with my hips, that I was pretty sure had been caused by the pregnancies, and the fact that I've had two children who were each over 9 pounds at birth.

Well, I now know what the problem actually is.

http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpain.htm

I found this link because I posted about my hip troubles in a Parenting Guild here on Gaia. I printed out a good portion of the page to take in to my doctor, and he confirmed that I have the symptoms, and it's highly likely that this is what is wrong with me.

That's both good and bad news for me, because it doesn't seem that there are really any ways to treat this. neutral

Anyway, just felt like sharing.

Pain meds...I've been on them nearly nonstop since about December...either Loritab or Percocet.

I don't think I know either of those...if it helps you know the two I'm talking about, the generic names are Oxycodone & Hydrocodone.
They're two of the stronger pain meds out there, on par with morphine almost.

3nodding the Phenargan I've got really saved my butt a time or two...There were days where I would not have kept even water down if it wasn't for that.

What was weird in the hospital was my body's reaction to the synthetic morphine they used in the spinal block for the C-section...they said it's normal, but I was so freaking itchy all over, I scratched some spots until they bled...it just wouldn't go away, even with the benadryl they kept putting in the IV.... eek

my mom can't take morphene...it makes her vomit. when she had her heart surgery a few years ago they tried to give her a morphene drip but she couldn't take it. she couldn't even take tylanol with codine in it. the funny thing is they gave her regular old extra strength tylanol and it took all her pain away...my mom's weird like that.

wow....I wish regular tylenol still worked for me...I ahve to take them like 4 at a time (about 800mg) to go any good. neutral

I have to get Benedreyl in the IV for my new medicine-Remicade. I just got a minor rash from it, though. I get it for the third time next Thursday. At least I get to skip school for it. sweatdrop
