The soul goal of a avatar centered site is to create a unique and amazing avatar.
It's been years now and can't try out, or buy use the new items out because
1. they're too expensive
and
2.using them would make my avi ugly and loose my pretty skin forever.

I currently have a very rare and non reproducable avi so... why bother even playing Gaia anymore??

Most people make an Alt, Mule,.. second/extra account.

Which of course won't help with the prices.

Especially now that they messed up the G-Coin offers.

To go along with the above, your avatar may be what the site is centered around, but it's not the ONLY thing on gaia. There are forums, games, etc. Personally I come on to talk to friends.

I log in everyday. Now if they somehow did something to update all avis that would make me lose my skin I would definitely quit.

But for now I get my interpretatioon of an overseer

I actually don't have anyone I really talk to on here... I focus a lot on getting gold in case the day comes I can get more expensive items and change my avi. I was thinking of quitting, because an item I REALLY wanted was in my price range and I couldn't equip it... I don't know...it's really your choice. I wouldn't blame it you it's been way too damn long.
