Invictus was hiding. Of sorts.
The teepee was always so crowded and lively, with everyone running around and chattering with each other. Invictus never really felt like he fit in, always waiting quietly in the shadows of the trees and just watching. It wasn't that no one cared about him, but it was more so that with all the hustle and bustle, Invictus just kind of...faded.
So he had taken the chance to get away, walking off slowly and aimlessly down the mountainside to alleviate the dull pain of loneliness. The light breeze felt cool against his back, and the small pitter patter of a light rain calmed him. He stopped in his tracked, craning his neck upward at the gray, gray sky and just watched.

 The wind was starting to blow a bit stronger, and Amira knew that it might be time for her to land. The dark grey sky appeared to converge, and rain was probably on the way. Amira didn't like flying in the rain. As she hovered close to the ground, Amira started closer to the mountainside. She wanted to be prepared to be able to jump into a cave in need be, especially since she didn't have Amenophis to comfort her.
Amira landed quietly and folded her wings back. She gave a quick shake to ensure that the were settled, and then another to get her hair out of her eyes.

Invictus started, his nerves jumping up in panic as he heard the soft 'thump' of a landing. He hadn't been paying attention, too caught up in just watching the raindrop fall from the sky.
He turned his head in the direction of the noise, carefully turning his head to the side and catching sight of the winged mare who was busy giving herself a shake. Catching sight of her, he ducked his head down quickly, hoping she didn't notice him looking. His ears folded back slightly to press against his head, as he pressed his head down close to his chest.
A small part of him wanted him to walk over and introduce himself, maybe offer to help her find somewhere out of the rain and wind or give direction. The larger part, however, told him to keep his head down and stay quiet. She was probably busy and didn't want to be bothered by some weird stranger, after all.

Amira felt a cold drop on her nose, far colder than any other rain drop she could remember. She shook her head again at the drop, which tickled a bit. Suddenly Amira got that feeling again. Something that she was accustomed to. She got very nervous, that 'it' was around again, but she wasn't going to be scared. Not this time, or at least she wasn't going to let it known.
Amira turned around to look and see who was around. She saw a movement, and while she didnt know what it was, she knew what it wasn't, and this relieved her. "Hello," she called out very nervously, "Who's there?"

Invictus jumped again, at the sound of a voice, mentally chastising himself for being so jumpy. He turned his head back toward the new mare, tentatively taking a few steps closer to her out of politeness of being addressed.
He stopped a few yards away, before stepping and trying out a smile that he hoped looked comforting and not ridiculous. "Urm. Hello," he stuttered out.
He shuffled his feet nervously, before forcing himself to stop the ridiculous nervous habit. "Hello," he repeated. "Are you, urm, lost? Or can I help you with anything? If you're not, that's fine to but I thought I'd ask. Because, I mean, it's raining and getting wet isn't all that fun. Well, it is sometimes, but ya know," he rambled, cursing himself as he spoke as he mentally scream at himself to shut up.

Amira was a bit shocked at first. She had never met another that was as jumpy and nervous as she used to be. She knew what feelings he was having, so she tried to comfort him, but in subtle ways. Yeah, she still had a bit of nervousness to her, but far less than she used to be.
She moved closer to him, hoping she wouldn't startle him to much. "Its ok, not need to be nervous," she started as she grinned back at him, "I've just been spending most of the morning flying around. It expends some energy. and I learn more about the land from way up high." she added. "I've been around here a few times though."

Invictus mentally winced. He had been hoping that his nervousness didn't show, but he interacted with so few people that it couldn't really be helped. "Urm. Sorry, I mean. I just, well, I just don't really talk to many people."
He dug his hoof into the ground some more, turning up the green grass and the tip of his hoof reaching soil. "I, uh, I come here pretty often. It's nice and quiet and gets me away from the teepee. The sunset is my favorite. Urm. Yeah." His ears were still pressed back against his head, and he hadn't looked up the entire time, his eyes glued firmly his feet.

Amira could see that the stallion was still nervous; his body language said it all. "I know how you feel, I used to avoid others all together." Amira said. "Sounds like we have a bit in common." she giggled. She wanted to try and help him out, as others had done for her. She'd come up with a plan later though, right now though, changing the subject was best.
"It is nice to get away from the everyday surrounding,s which is why I love to travel and adventure off to find new places." Amira thought back to the many others she had met, and how they had helped her. "There is so much more out there to find, and so many interesting stories to hear." Amira continued.
By now the rain seems to be falling a bit more, and Amira was getting damp, and there was no place to really hide the two of them. She didnt want to see the stallion get soaked, and while she hated getting her wings wet, she decided there was one way to keep the both of the dry. Amira walked closer to the stallion, and spread her wings, holding them up umbrella-like to help keep the rain off of the two of them.
