In the middle of a vast room deep in the Pokemon League, sat a brown haired male in the chair reserved for the Champion. In his lap sat what looked like a black cat with yellow markings. On the back of the chair was an orange mouse, it's long tail draping onto the male's shoulder. Silently the man was petting the Umbreon in his lap as it slept, his eyes shut and leaned against his hand, his arm propped up on the armrest of the chair. The air around the man was heavy, and the feeling someone who didn't know who he was would be very pressured, and overwhemling.

The silence that shrouded the room was soon broken as a single door opened. Usually it is only Pokémon Trainers that have defeated the Elite Four enter here, but it was not a trainer, nor even the Elite Four themselves. Instead, a blue-haired female made her way into the room, dressed in casual dark blue pants and a long light blue shirt that was designed with a little more room than intended as the sleeves were abnormally wide, but perfect in length. A golden-yellow scarf was also draped around her neck, seeming to float slightly as she walked up to the man in the chair. "Clearly I'm not interrupting a match, I see," she spoke smoothly, her words always chosen with care and a soft smile on her lips.

Far away from the Pokémon League, a young female with extremely long blonde hair was on Route 8, the road that led from Irminsul City to Hayate City. So far she has seen the Indra Tower, and her next stop was the Shanaou Tower, and of course another contest for more ribbons. An Eevee was perched on her shoulder while the girl had her hands in her pockets, humming while she walked. "So Evelyn. Think we'll win another ribbon? I sure hope so. I can't wait to see the Shanaou Tower though. I wonder if it's just as mysterious as the Indra Tower..." The Eevee merely smiled and nodded in reply.

"Not at all. You just missed it to be exact." the man said, not opening his eyes. A smile had crossed his lips as he heard her voice. The Umbreon in his lap looked up before standing and stretching. The Raichu however just glanced over lazily, it's tail swishing a little. The Umbreon merely jumped up behind the Raichu and laid back down curling up. Opening his eyes, he glanced up at the girl, his blue eyes meeting her's, his smile unwavering. A ring on his left hand glinted slightly. "What brings you here today Mrs. Suzugamori?" he teased a little.

Suiko smiled a little wider, instinctively rubbing her thumb against her own ring. "Just checking up on you, of course. Have seen a few new trainers every day, all just starting out on their journeys. Maybe one day you'll be able to see them as well." She took a few steps closer, deciding to stand to the side of the chair rather than face him. "And of course I love to see what your Pokémon have to say," she added softly. Her bluish gaze changed, her right eye becoming a light blue, almost white, while her left eye became purple and dark. "Tired after that battle, eh Raichu? Was the Trainer too much for you to handle?" she teased the seemingly lazy Pokémon.

Ren chuckled softly, shutting his eyes again. The Raichu however, glanced over it's shoulder at Suiko, both of his ears twitching. "He didn't even use me. She got all the fun." he replied evenly, pointing to Umbreon with his tail. "You wouldn't have had fun anyway. It was rather boring." the black pokemon replied, licking her paws.

Suiko laughed softly, reaching over to scratch the Raichu's ear. "Well my dear, sometimes it's like that. You two are considered the strongest in the Kagero Region," she explained simply. Two of her Pokéballs at her side opened up, her own Pikachu coming out on his own along with her Latias. Pikachu jumped onto Suiko's shoulder, leaning slightly towards Ren's Pokémon instead of trying to crowd the chair by just simply jumping on it. "Well one thing's for sure. Even if you get to fight the strongest trainers out there, there's no way I'd like that job. I find it boring, just fighting all the time," he said simply, his own ear twitching. As for Latias, she hovered on the other side of the chair, pushing her head against Ren's playfully while Suiko smiled a bit more. "Seems she missed you."

"Heh. It has been awhile since I've been home hasn't it?" Ren replied softly, lightly petting the Latias. Raichu leaned his head into Suiko's hand as she scratched his ear. The Umbreon went back to licking her paws. "Strongest in the Region huh. More like laziest." she teased both Ren and Raichu. "Shhhhhh. I'm being petted, don't ruin the moment." Raichu said, obviously not phased by Umbreon's snide comment.

A noise that sounded like a purr came from Latias, leaning into Ren's hand like Raichi was to Suiko. Pikachu couldn't help laughing and nearly feel off Suiko's shoulder, then poked Umbreon's tail with his own. "So what does that make you? Princess of the Region?" he grinned. Oh only if Suiko's Leafeon was out of her Pokéball. The grass-type could probably be considered the most stubborn in the region, that's for sure. Suiko only smiled and continued scratching Raichu's ear, her eyes still off-colored. "Such diverse personalities, it's amusing. Maybe in time when things start to go our way, then you can explore more often. At least then you won't be considered the laziest, and you'll be feared for your power..." Despite her calm composure and gentle grin, it only made her words seem darker.

Lightly Ren moved his hand from the Latias to his arm around Suiko's waist. "And it's all thanks to you." he said, looking up at Suiko out of the corner of his eyes, adding a bit of menace to his already unsettling aura. Of course Suiko wouldn't be bothered by it. Raichu merely nodded, his eyes closed and his tail swishing. The Umbreon didn't say anything but nipped at the Pikachu before going back to cleaning her paws.

xxxxxRyodel yawned widely as he awoke from his nap on route eight. He stretched widely and continued to just lay there. Looking to his right and saw the experiment equipment. Forcing himself to get up, he slowly walked/stumbled over to the equipment. Ryodel sat down in the Swivel chair and checked the progress on the experiment. 57%. He'd been here for four days, and he only had 57%. Apparently, bug types didn't know how to evolve in this forest. It hadn't even taken this long on route one. Duskin, who had been asleep in a tree opened his eye and looked down at his trainer. "Duskin," he said to his pokemon, "We need to go out and catch some pokemon and train them to evolve. Otherwise, this will take forever." Duskin nodded, but was slightly confused. How did he plan to catch these pokemon, if all of his poke`mon were 20+ levels higher than them? Duskin just shrugged and followed behind his trainer as he started to walk off. I know what we'll do! we'll find Kakuna!" He shouted in excitement as he ran along, Duskin following close behind.

Reiko walked down route eight Kage at her said. Reiko sighed and walked over to a nearby tree quickly climbing onto it's branches and sitting down. Kage jumped up onto a branch near Reiko and sat down there. "We'll rest for a bit here Kage." she said quietly before taking a map out of her bag and looking it over.

Pikachu leaned back to dodge the n**, sticking his tongue out at the dark-type. "Priiiiincessss," he taunted playfully, sitting safely on Suiko's shoulder. Suiko smiled down at Ren, letting her hand fall to her side and kissing him lightly on the cheek. "Well, as a Pokémon Professor, I meet just about every Trainer that will come our way. So it's no doubt that I can pick out those that will be a nuisance to us. There are a few, but we'll just have to see how they turn out in the end." Latias grinned brightly and flew around the room a few times, mostly because she wanted to get going. Suiko only smiled at her Pokémon. "You know, if you were like any other Champion in the past who liked to roam the Region, you could visit some of those potentially troublesome trainers. Of course, they wouldn't know anything about it until later.."

While still roaming the Route, Natalia sighed and sat down for a bit next to a tree. Her Eevee, Evelyn, jumped down from the blonde girl's shoulder, looking up at her with a tilted head. "Let's check the map as to how far we are away from Hayate City," Nat said, pulling out the Region Map from her bag. "Looks like we're almost there. Maybe another two hours of walking." Evelyn whined, her fluffy brown tail twitching. "Oh shush. You're the one who hasn't actually been walking, but riding on my shoulder~" Natalia laughed, putting the map away. The Eevee only grinned. After about a ten minute break, the pair was up on their feet again, and this time Evelyn was walking beside her Trainer instead of getting a free ride.

Ren chuckled returning the kiss to the cheek. "If I was like any other Champion, I wouldn't have reigned as long as I have." The Umbreon looked at Pikachu, her tail fluffing up slightly, one of her ears twitching. The Raichu was merely chuckling to himself. "I guess I could get out every so often though."

A single trainer was walking along the streets of Hayate City, his right hand on his stomach. At his side a Charmeleon walked along while a bushy tail of an Eevee could be seen poking out of his backpack as well as it's ears. As his stomach growled, the Charmeleon glanced up at him, his face in a frown.

xxxxxRyodel had screwed up once again. He was now being chaced by a giant swarm of Beedrill. He had been thinking of Kakuna, talking about Kakuna, but what he really meant was Metapod. This was where his quick thinking skill came in handy. He was now on Dragch, his Dragonair. He had spent the last ten minutes riding around on Dragch and releasing his pokemon from their pokeballs and setting up a giant trap. So far so good. As Dragchs speed increased he had to put on goggles so that nothing got into his eyes. By the time he got them on, Dragch was moving on the ground as fast as a speeding bullet with the Beedrill still keeping pace. Dragch swerved between trees and found the designated route path. He started slithering on it on queue. only a moment later he snapped his fingers and Cynders started up a flamethrower which severely damaged most of them. Ryodel quickly returned him to his pokeball(barely in time due to his speed). Now, Arche`a used Stone edge and rocks came flying up from the ground and smashing into many of the Beedrill. Arche`a started running and quickly caught up with Ryodel. Ryodel then returned him to his pokeball. "The finishing move!" Ryodel shouted. Directly behind him his Aggron, A-gear, used Protect, and the Beedrill slammed into it and went flying in every direction. This portion of the trail was straight so he just had to turn around and return A-gear to his poke`ball. Duskin, who resided in the sky, had been charging a giant Will-O-Wisp for the entirety of the ordeal. Normally, a Will-O-Wisp would just burn a target, but at this massive size(approximately 1.5 meters in radius), it would create a devastating explosion(the explosion was much bigger in his head. it was much smaller than he had anticipated, but it still worked). Duskin launched the Will-O-Wisp to the ground and vanished. Dragch quickly slowed down and allowed Ryodel to return him to his pokeball. Duskin came out of the shadows and swallowed Ryodel into his mouth. Duskin sank into the ground and quickly moved through the shadows to the place where the research equipment was. here, Duskin spat him back out. "Thannk you Duskin. You're a life saver."
xxxxxRyodel saw that because they disturbed the nest, enough Kakuna evolved to completely fill the data bar. He quickly started packing up and fit the large cases into Duskins mouth. Ryodel returned Duckin to his pokeball and released Dragch. Ryodel sat down on Dragchs back, who slowly started to slither along at a slow ten miles an hour.
