(Alternate time-line) Many years after Chaos's war on Gaioh, in which he was killed, the village has grown large and powerful. Gathering more and more shinobi the village has become one of the most powerful villages in all the land. However all was not glorious... Even with Chaos's death, many of his followers still roamed the land. Gaioh knowing they were at fault for the damages continues to hunt this rouge ninja to prevent someone from taking on Chaos's mantel and causing the destruction he did.

Yet despite their efforts something went wrong. An apprentice of Chaos had appeared and had figured out Chaos most forbidden jutsu. Gaioh quickly began to hunt this person and it was not long before they found out the technique this wild shinobi was trying to perfect. A jutsu known as Demon Vines, Revival of flesh to vine, a jutsu said to be able to bring someone who had died back to life as a Demon Vine Hybrid. With it he could raise up an army of fallen ninja to wage war once again.

Once Gaioh found the main base of this ninja they sent in a number of ANBU to eliminate him and stop him from completing this forbidden technique. The ANBU easily whipped out most of the guards and even killed Chaos's apprentice will ease. Yet they were not expecting what they saw afterward though...

((This is very simple. It is a future, alternate timeline that anyone who posts here is now an ANBU in Gaioh. Any number of people can join and you all have one opponent you have to fight. Everyone most post at least one week after the main antagonist's post (mine) or will be auto-killed. This is to prevent clogging and to allow for a smoother run. (And more interesting) If you have any question's about this post them in the HQ.))

Upon entering the laboratory Ashura surveyed the area looking for any clues to the experiments being performed, especially a sample of the demon vines or remnants of the original Chaos before the containment cell shattered. Ashura glared at Chaos behind his face mask immediately recognizing that they were likely too late. Having held position in the back of the group in reserve Ashura had taken only a token part in the initial assault of the lab to conserve chakra for any surprises they might encounter. He had seen Chaos once before prior to his demise as a genin and had done some research before the mission, but standing in his renewed presence made his skin crawl almost as if Chaos vines were already around him.

In the confined space of the laboratory they had little chance if Chaos' claims were true so Ashura knew he had to act quickly to get some time to clear the lab and regroup hoping not to destroy the entire lab in the process. While Chaos was still distracted Ashura pulled eight kunai from his pouch hurling them into the walls in an octagon formation around the room with chaos at their center. As they hit the characteristic jingle of the metal capacitor tags tied to them revealed Ashura's intent to those familiar with his techniques and the kunai sailing over his squad mates heads would hopefully act as a cue they could recognize. The jingling and thunk into the stone of the kunai could have easily be drowned out by the constant dripping and clinking of the damaged lab, but not wanting to underestimate Chaos before they even hit Ashura withdrew a ninth kunai in one hand and formed three quick seals finishing as the kunai dug into the walls. The tag attached to the kunai in his hand quickly corroded and bubbled as an electric tingle filled the air. Kumo Raisokei. The tags of the eight kunai jingled simultaneously and corroded just before the binding web of lightning would fill half the room between the kunai around Chaos. If Ashura could hold Chaos the mission could be ended right then and there with support, but Ashura was not so confident and was relying more on it delaying the distracted Chaos if he was caught in the web at all.

Ashura smirked behind his mask wondering if it was really going to be this easy as the lightning web engulfed Chaos coursing off his body when making contact. The electric web was very diffuse with many arcing connections rather than any strong bolts to cover a large area, but surprisingly causing little damage to that area other than a slight scorching near the source kunai. The other ANBU quickly formed up behind Ashura with a small squad held ahead of him made up of the rest of the shock trooper squads defensive members. But then Chaos stared right at him and moved effortlessly as if the binding had no effect.

As the mist pored from Chaos' mouth Ashura was immediately suspicious that his technique had not visibly affected Chaos. He had suspected Chaos was strong enough to resist the binding, but not strong enough to ignore it like it wasn't there. A clone would not have been strong enough to resist, much less ignore the binding without a considerable amount of chakra invested in it so Ashura glanced at the kunai in his hand suspecting genjutsu to see if the tag symbols glowed blue beneath the slight corrosion, each symbol representing a distinct living body marked by his technique with an intensity proportionate to the amount of chakra in that target, before hearing the sizzling crackle in the air as sparks formed around and within the mist.

Before the mist reached their side of the lab Ashura quickly inverted his kunai so the tags were facing up and blade down ready to release the second part of the jutsu. It was obvious it was reactive and likely flammable or explosive at a threshold concentration and Ashura figured its detonation could mean the destruction of the lab, but he also knew Chaos would have to avoid the detonation as well.

If the tag revealed he had marked Chaos and any clones he may have produced after the web was deployed Ashura would immediately release the jutsu to completion with a serpent hand sign with the kunai between his hands corroding the rest of the tag away and strengthening the web exponentially as it pulled in on each tagged victim like eight electric legs wrapping around before two bolts coursed up over their heads and into the victim's chest like spider fangs detonating the mist in the process, which Ashura hoped would be held back by a defensive ANBU in his squad, but unfortunately sacrifice the lab.

If the the tag revealed no one had been marked Ashura would recall his justu with one half tiger sign along the kunai in his hand causing all 8 kunai around the room to jingle and tear away from the walls arcing to Ashura's hand leaving a trail of sparks in the area surrounded by mist and forming an electric chain of kunai coiled up around Ashura like a snake as he jumped back to the lab entrance flanked by the other shock trooper ANBU and motioning to the other ANBU behind him in a circlular motion of his hand to form an outside perimeter leaving the next move to another in his squad while he took up the back most position at the lab entrance.

The Chaos standing in Ashura's web was the real Chaos. The second the web started to becoming stronger the room where everyone stood began to shake. Parts of the wall and ceiling began to crash down as demon vines began to emerge from the walls. It seems these vines were being pulled towards Chaos and it was destroying the supporting structure of the underground lab.

"You seem to not understand who I am." Chaos said as the seal completed and the mist suddenly exploded into a massive fireball that quickly began to consume the room everyone stood in. At this rate it would bring the entire laboratory down on top of everyone.

Ashura ignored the scene Kobushi had made except for a slight annoyance. If he got caught in the middle because of his own clumsiness plowing through formation it was his own fault. Ashura seemed unphased as the room started to tear apart from the vines. He had anticipated having to deal with the room collapsing and he easily sidestepped the debris. He was more concerned with how much damage his jutsu would do to the room combined with the blast of Chaos’ mist and how his squad members would defend against it.

Ashura smiled to himself at Chaos’ comment half laughing at Chaos’ overconfidence and half out of anticipation to face the power behind that confidence, even as the fireball engulfed the room. Ashura looked at his comrades in front to anticipate how to follow their lead in defending their position when he noticed another person break into their formation, his features obscured by the heat and light of the fireball. As the flames receded, Ashura looked curiously at the figure ahead of him that had stopped the explosion not sure exactly who it was. He immediately flexed both his wrists and his armguard blades slid out. He raised the broad blade on his right hand, pointing to his left, palm down in front of him and lowered his left to his waist, palm up and curved blades pointing forwards.

As the Hanekage bantered Ashura assessed the damage he had done to Chaos and scanned the room. Since the chakra needed for the technique was stored in the nine tags Ashura only had to use a tiny amount to release it and could now use that knowledge to gauge Chaos’ strength. The vines had appeared to absorb most of it and Ashura quickly estimated the strength he needed to cut the vines and burn them away from the damage he could see, but he wasn’t sure if anything had gotten through to Chaos.

Ashura relaxed his stance slightly after seeing Kashin's face. If the Hanekage had decided to act he was now head of the squad so Ashura waited ready to assist or retreat at his signal so that he didn’t interfere with the Hanekage’s plan. He started to concentrate on the lab’s stability and the possibility of more vines flanking them or creeping by their feet.

He also still had the kunai he had used in his hand. The tag attached had bubbled and corroded away to a small black circle also seen on the tags of the visible kunai in the rubble around Chaos. The charge left in the eight tags was small and worked more like flashbangs of electricity Ashura could release. Unfortunately right now he did not know where all the tags were. He could see four of the eight kunai with all four only a few feet from Chaos. The closest kunai was only a few inches from Chaos, but the tag was no longer attached to it, which Ashura had not noticed.

"Well Chaos, you've been dead for about ten years now. I assume you're just as confused as the rest of us are about your return. We have a few details, but not much." He took a few steps closer to Chaos, seemingly inspecting him. "Shall I ask that they stand down now?" Kashin smirked that same warm smile he has always worn.

"You would be the one lucky enough to stay younger than the rest of us." He sighed as he looked around the roughed up lab. "Well, your apprentice had the same taste as you did with creepy labs."
