Noctis exited a portal that had led him to an alleyway. Apparently he didn't have enough power to go back to his world and needed more strength to get back. So he would have to devour at least one soul in order to be able to open up a portal so he could return home. So he leaned against the wall and waited for passing by person to appear so he could grab and attack, preferably a woman but at this point any gender would do for Noctis.

Akumu stopped at the entrance to the alleyways. Where the light met the shadows. She couldn't see beyond the shadows and cursed. "Damn, wish I had a flash light." She then paused, trying to see if she could hear anything but it was pure dead silence. "I know your here. So you can quit with the quiet act." She said as her left hand twitched. She readied to summon her weapons.

Akumu quickly reacted and managed to counter the attack by blocking them with her weapons. She also had the ability to summon weapons, an ability similar to Noctis' except hers wasn't so evolved and didn't come with a shield. She clenched her jaw as she struggled to hold back Noctis' attack. It required concentration in order for the attack to work.

While his weapons were busy holding off Akumu, Noctis gracefully walked towards her. Eyes glowing brighter by the minute with every step he took. His guard very much up. As soon as he was close to Akumu, he pulled out a blade from his left glove and brought her close to him before pressing his lips against hers. Slowly pressing the tip of the knife into her lower back which broke her concentration and the attack she had been doing.

Akumu's eyes widened as she felt the sharp pain overcome her. She wanted to scream but couldn't because Noctis' mouth covered hers. Slowly she began to grow weak as Noctis started the process of sucking out her soul for a meal. Her eye lids grew heavy and chest tight as she tried to break free.

"Damn it, I hope I'm not too late" he thought.

Noctis dropped Akumu as he jumped out of the way and climbed up the side of the building like a spider, reaching the roof as he eyed Atticus down below, eyes still red but he had enough power now to open up a portal to his world and go home.

Observing her body, he could tell that she was in bad shape if nothing is done, he would lose his meister, "Akumu" he said as he knelled down and picked her up in his arms, "Akumu, if you can hear, say something." he demanded as he then focused his eyes up towards the demon, "Don't think that you will escape me." he said as his yellow eyes grew colder, "Akumu, wake up!" he said as he could feel that her soul was still in her, "What happened to you making me a Death Scythe? Was is all a lie? If you die now, then I swear I will never forgive you, so wake up!!!" he shouted as he has never truly shown this type of emotions, since his parents were killed.

He smirked as he opened up a portal. "Your the second person to have threatened me today and have not succeeded in defeating me. Might I say, that girl you have there, hers soul was one of the most delicious souls I have ever tasted. It's a shame I didn't get to finish devouring it. But I will be back for the rest of it. I can promise you that. Also, keep this in mind, humans who have had their souls devoured but not completely like your friend here are said to change and never be the same. So I'd keep an eye on her. Farewell for now." He then entered the portal and left.

It was then that he heard Akumu's voice, telling him not to yell, "Figures even when, you're in such a bad shape, you scold me" he would say as he seemed to be relieved, but tried not to let Akumu see. Since he was holding her, Atticus could feel the blood coming from her back, and seeing the pain in her face, Atticus would do something he will never do again, "I'm sorry. I failed you as your weapon and as your friend. I swore that I would protect and look how good that turned out" he said as a single tear ran down his left cheek, just as it started to rain. Atticus would then look into the sky, trying to hide his tears, "Lets get you to the nurse, or doctor, or whatever." he would say, trying to play of the tears he was crying.

That's what still matters. You dope." She hit him on the head. "Lighten up and I don't like doctors/nurses. Just wipe the thing for me and put a band aid on it."
