Raven didn’t feel like doing anything today. Honestly, she felt she would have been at least a million times more productive if she had just stayed at home in bed. She had forgotten her cell phone at home, so if anyone had wanted to hang out, they were completely out of luck, and she honestly didn’t care. Today wasn’t a day to hang out with friends. It was a day to get done what she had to get done, then go home and nap.
Her hair was drawn up into two low pigtails, both of them fluffing out at the ends, making her feel like some deranged…dog. God. She looked like her dog. Raven just shook her head, continuing her walk through the mall, knowing her face must be that of a complete grump, she continued moving the racks of clothes, looking for something, though really not knowing what she was looking for.
Something for her mom, maybe. Mothers day was coming up quickly. Yeah. That’s what she was doing. Sure. Whatever made sense.

Micah was doing the exact opposite of Raven at that moment. In fact, she was trying to waste time. She prodded through racks of clothing at the slowest possible pace, humming to herself. She didn't want to go home. It would be another interrogation form her brother. Are you going out tonight? What time? What time will you be home? Should I have the first aid kit ready? Are you at least trying to stay safe? God, Micah wished she'd never told her brother anything.
She huffed a little, slumping forward as she toyed absently with the hem of a shirt. He could be so over bearing sometimes. She didn't get why girls liked him so much. He was annoying.
Micah was so deep in her grumblings that she didn't even see the other girl she ran smack into. Even when she bounced off, it took her a moment to realize that it had happened.
"Ah... Sorry... I wasn't paying attention to where I was going..."

Raven jumped slightly then looked at Micah for a long moment before shaking her head. “I…I didn’t see you there either, jeeze.” Having someone knock into her really scared her. Her heart was pounding and it took a few moments for her to calm herself down. “Ah, sorry about it too. She looked at the other girl and took in her hair, and the guilt she was feeling for bumping into her was swiftly fading. God, she hated cornrows…they were…just dumb looking.
That and they reminded her of Acubens. “But, yeah. You should watch where you’re going, I think. And I should too. What are you looking for, anyway?” With hair like that, she should get out of this section of the store. Cornrows and the latest fashion style just didn’t mix, at least not in Raven’s mind. Maybe this girl needed some help finding something…more suitable to wear. Maybe doing this good deed would eventually find her a mother’s day gift for her mom too…maybe.

"Ahh... just wasting time, really." Micah grinned goofily, toying with one of her braids. "My brother... he'd kind of an over bearing protector with me. I'm trying to avoid him a long as possible before I have to get ready for... for work." May as well call it work. Patrolling was as good as her job. She put the hem of the shirt back down. "Nah, I'm just lurking. I've got no money to speak of. My job doesn't pay for s**t and none of this is really my style anyway." Micah absently smoothed out her own outfit. Nothing of really modern fashion, just bargain finds and throw outs she'd scavenged. Micah didn't mind. Clothes were just clothes.
"What about you? Are you looking for something in particular?" Micah didn't really know why she asked. She didn't normally like to impose or pry, and small talk just ended awkwardly for both parties. God, this would end badly...

Raven nodded, then glanced away. “Must be fun though. Having a sibling. My parents were surprised as hell when I came into the world, honestly, I don’t think they’ve had sex since.” She snickered, then sighed. “Though, one would figure that…They named me the stupidest thing in the world you know.” She looked to Micah, and then said in all seriousness. “My name’s Raven Moore. Do you know what they put as my middle name? Can you even guess?”
She pursed her lips and gave another sigh. “Never. So my full name is Raven Never Moore. How messed up is that?”
Raven had no earthly idea why she was prattling on like this to a random stranger, but she was wound up, and tired and…and she had no excuse. Perhaps she was starting to lose her grip on reality a little.
She hoped she wasn’t getting sick again or something. “Ah. Sorry. Don’t know what made me tell you all that. You were griping about your brother and I just stole your thunder. Sorry about that.” She shook her head and rubbed at her eyes. “Guess I need more sleep or something.”

Micah laughed a little louder than she intended. "Fun, right. Good joke." Micah pulled another pair of slacks form the rack. She continued to chuckle as she pulled at the hemline. "He's over bearing, pompous, buys into fads like it's no one's business. He's a snob about the strangest things. Alexij is just... well, he's one of a kind, that's for sure." Micah smiled at Raven dropping the pant leg. "I'd much rather have a sister than a brother some days. Someone to relate to, you know?"
When Raven divulged her name, Micah's mind had to take a moment to puzzle it out. Her lips, at length, formed a small O as she nodded.
"Well, it's not the most unfortunate name I've ever heard. I once met a guy who's name was Rick Rolle." She shrugged, moving over to the next rack. "And don't worry about that. When I talk it's more like an open forum. Kind of everyone going at once, all over each other, you know?

The joke was lost on Raven, but she gave an awkward little laugh anyway. “I see, That’s a terrible name.” She nodded as the girl talked about her brother. “One of these days, maybe my parents will decide they need to adopt an almost grown up child, and I’ll finally get a sibling.”
She shrugged then sighed. “I don’t know. I guess I’ll stop making a fool out of myself with you now. “ The girl shook her head and made a face. “It was nice meeting you though, Micah. Maybe we’ll run into one another again sometime, and maybe I won’t be such a dunce.” She gave a little wave then shook her head. “Good luck with the rest of your shopping…I might go get a pretzel…”
The blonde walked away then, massaging her forehead. That had been a strange meeting. And she was quite sure the girl now thought she was some mental case. Well, she was scatterbrained today, so…she wouldn’t have been far off.
Oh well.
