Was Sura supposed to be that large out in the forest? She had no idea. She had only been told no to the school grounds, and thus had made her active efforts on getting off of the school grounds before she made any dramatic transformations. Said dramatic transformations had had some interesting results - such as giant pawprints left in her wake, along with cracked trees and even some trees which had been completely bitten through.
Not all of them showed signs that something had passed by them, but the signs that did linger were obvious in their message - something big had passed through that way.
Not that Sura considered herself as a big Colossus. In fact, she felt she was rather small for a Colossus, but in turn it made her little forest walks a little less interrupted then she could have been if she'd had an extra 10 feet of height and been able to peer up over the treetops on her own. It made the top of the trees not so free game for her jaws, but what she could reach at 20 feet up? That was definitely free game.
The sound of the Colossus crunching away on the trees, several pieces falling to the ground in loud noises, crumbling away between her jaws noisily. But it was a pleasant noise, almost therapeutic.

Anna sighed and leaned against a tree, taking her hat off for a moment to run one hand across her forehead. Foraging was hard work, especially when her plant-sense was failing her and she had to rely on her ordinary senses to find the herbs she wanted. Shibey was even starting to droop a bit, his tail brushing against the ground every few steps... A distant sound caught her ears, followed by a vibration in the earth. The witchling quickly put her hat back on and straightened, clutching her gathering basket to her chest. What was that? Another far-away thud... eyes narrowed, Anna crept behind a nearby tree, then snuck to another tree. And another. And- Her eyes widened at the sudden path of destruction stretching out before her like a corridor. Oh Jack. Oh Jack. There was something huge out here. Something huge and terrible. She quailed, pressing her back against the nearest still-standing tree. What should she do? What should she do?!Shibey walked out into the center of the desolation and put his head down. < Footprints, > he reported, after a moment. He sounded unconcerned, but then he always did. < Interesting. >"I-Interesting?! No, it isn't! It's scary! And I'm going... that way!" She pointed in the direction she thought Amityville was in. < ... Very well. >Without another word, the witchling set off - the cleared path through the trees was clearly the easiest route. But what Anna failed to realize was that she wasn't heading back towards Amityville. The footsteps she stepped through were, in fact, pointing forward - a fact which eluded her, but not Shibey. He didn't say anything about it. Thus, Anna was taken by utter surprise when she entered a clearing to find not Amityville Academy, but a massive creature bigger than anything she'd ever seen before, casually chewing on trees. Her eyes widened, and the gathering-basket crashed to the ground as she took a horrified step backwards. "A-a-ah... ah... AAAAAAAAH! HEEEEEEEEEELP!" she shrieked, at the top of her lungs. ... Never mind that the creature hadn't done anything to her yet.

sniff sniff sniffffffsniffsniffsniffsniffsniff sniff sniff
The school was full of fantastic smells and Chaya couldn't smell ANY of them properly because of the stupid skull pin that made her stay two-legged. It was driving her a little crazy. After the kindly meant orientation tour was done and the handbook tossed into a corner of the room that was going to be hers now, Chaya had come running out to the forest to properly smell some things in this amazing new environment. She was very excited to be here! She liked it! It was just that being two-legged meant her nose wasn't quite good enough.
sniiiiifffsniffsniff sniffsniff snifffffsniffsniff
So she was currently a large (3'5" at the shoulder unless she'd grown more) cream-white dog with black feet, a little translucent (about 85-90% most of the time unless she concentrated), with a faint luminosity (whitish) and glowing red eyes. And she'd just found an amazing scent trail. That happened to coincide with GREAT BIG FOOTPRINTS and noises in the distance. She trotted cheerfully along the trail, nose to the ground.
When the noises in the distance were joined by a high-pitched shrieking with the word HELP in it, she pricked up her ears and quickened her stride to a run, a long-legged distance-eating lope that covered a lot of ground quite fast and could be kept up for a long time (the most that Chaya had personally run was three full days, but she was a young hound and she'd been just playing, not really tracking). The clearing she ended up in was occupied by a GREAT BIG PERSON that smelled just like the amazing scent trail and a small witchy kind of person and a smaller cattish kind of thing.
Chaya sat politely. "Are we playing or do you need real help?" she inquired.

For a moment, Sura had not even realized she had company with her. In fact, it was only when Anna shrieked out a HELP that the Colossus's eyes all seemed to swerve down to look at the reaper ghoul, their color flickering from their calm blue to a sudden enraged red, only to calm again when she realized that no, she was not in immediate danger.
Though there as a moment where her eyes flickered to yellow when the hound arrived, curious as to if she was the assailant for a moment, before it seemed to be that wasn't so. Eyes were on her, and Calamitas Esurientes was not really a threat until sharp items were brandished in her direction.
Her ears flicked forward as Chaya spoke.
"I was not invited to play any games." she said, sounding almost disappointed as her two voices rumbled in her chest, creating a dissonance of male and female tones against each other. "I am not sure if you are feeling in danger from my presence or not, small angry one." she lowered her head to look down at the pair on a more level field, her tail suddenly jerking to one side, lodging into a tree from the force of the movement.

Already frightened by the massive monster in front of her, Anna didn't react much better to the sudden appearance of a massive hound. "AAAAAAAAAaaaa... aaah?" she trailed off, confused, as the hound spoke to her in an entirely normal and polite voice. "Wh-what?"Shibey shook his head. < They are students, like yourself. Stop that noise. >Anna looked up at the huge creature, then back at the dog, then up at the huge creature, then back at the dog. ... "Oh," she said, sheepishly, then sat down with a thump. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't - I didn't mean to, you're just so... so gigantic," she said, looking up at the huge creature with a tone of awe. "And, um, you... startled me a little but that's not your fault," she added, cheeks turning pink with embarrassment as she looked at the dog-student. "S-sorry..." Why did she always manage to do exactly the wrong thing?

"You have a very big tail and a fascinating smell," Chaya told Sura. "I've never smelled anyone like you. Or that one!" she added, turning her head to stare interestedly at Shibey. "It doesn't smell like cat but it kind of looks like cat. So not really needing help just surprised?" she asked Anna, without so much as a pause to indicate the switch in topics.

".........." Well, it seemed that she was simply terrifying without intending to be. That was a good thing, wasn't it? She wasn't sure, entirely, if that was so. But it also seemed she smelled interesting to the canine, her ears flicking a bit with this new information. "A big tail? Perhaps so." she glanced back at said tail as he dislodged it from the tree, causing it to topple over in her wake. "Though, I am actually rather small." Sura rumbled in answer to the 'gigantic' comment, even if she had been learning quite well that for Amityville's standards she was actually much bigger than what most students were used to.
"However, if it will put you more at ease...." She seemed to snuffle around for something for a moment, finally finding what she was looking for as she looped her tail underneath the belt that had her skull pin on it. Unfortunately, transformation was not something that came naturally to Colossi, so she had to somewhat manually work out that problem herself. However, with the belt around her tail, her body immediately began to twist and realign itself in a very uncomfortable looking process as she took on her more humanoid looking form.
"Is this better, then?" she inquired, her voice losing much of the depth and echo it had when she was in her much larger body, all eyes now fully able to look at the pair who had stumbled across her.

"Y-yes, just surprised," Anna said, sheepishly. She scuffed at the disturbed earth with the toe of one shoe. "S-sorry. Um, thank you for c-coming to check, anyway?"Shibey gave the hound the OwO-expression he always wore, but the rest of his body language spoke of vague distaste. < I am an Incubator, not a cat, > he said, speaking into the minds of all three ghouls. And then the big thing shrank... into someone recognizable. Someone horribly, horribly recognizable. "Aaah!" Anna yelped, pointing at her, then clapping her free hand over her mouth. "Y-you're the ghoul I... I yelled at at... oh, Jack, I'm s-so sorry," she stammered. Her memories of the Scarentine's dance post-punch were horribly coherent, and she very clearly remembered standing in front of this very ghoul red-faced and shrieking for absolutely no good reason. Oh Jack, had she thrown cake at her, too?! "P-please don't step on me..."

"No problem I was tracking her anyway," Chaya said cheerfully. She watched curiously as Sura shrank into a two-legger, and inquired, "Should I do that too? Would that be better?" She didn't understand the exchange between Anna and Sura, but she watched with attentively perked ears. "Are Incubators good to chase like cats?" she asked Shibey.

The girl that she had - OH! Oh that! Sura offered Anna a sort of muted smile, one that was difficult to express when one's mouth just wanted to crack and split down their neck rather than across their face. Really, it would attempt it even if she didn't hold the smile fort down a bit.
"I did not mind. I have gotten far worse from members of the school's student body." she cracked her jaw, as if recalling it. "One such person actually punched me in the teeth. It was quite a strange outburst." she admitted. However, Anna's continued comment was quite strange to her. "Why would I step on you?" She passed a look to Chaya as if to see if the canid knew the answer to this.
"I do not have a preference for which body you would prefer. I would much rather have my four legs, but it appears I frighten the young lady if I do so."

"U-um... because you were mad at me for yelling at you? But you aren't mad?" Anna asked, hopefully. "I-I don't know what came o-over me, really, I don't... it was so strange.. um. You really aren't mad?" A look of wonder came over her face. Shibey, for his part, took a step back, away from the hound. < We are not, > he said, a bit huffily. "U-um, you can do whatever you want," Anna added, a little shyly. "Shape-wise, I mean, um. Since I know you aren't going to hurt me?"

Chaya's ears pricked hopefully forward as Shibey took a step back. "You're sure? Not even a little?" "Okay," she answered Anna. "I'm being a hound because I just got here and there's all these wonderful smells and two-legger noses don't work quite as well for smelling them with but I had to come out here to smell them properly but there are plenty of interesting smells out here too and now I met you guys." Not having to breathe when you talked was certainly an advantage of being ghostly. "I'm Chaya," she added.

"I would let you chase me, Chaya, but I fear I probably do not run fast enough for such activity." What with being enormous and weighty. She'd be caught rather easily, sad to say. "I am called Sura. It is far easier to recall than Calamitas Esurientes is."
And she'd had quite a bit of the nickname put into play. So she simply lived with it.
"Why would I be upset with an emotional outburst?" Sura asked, looking to Anna. "I understand they are unpleasant, but it seemed to be just as unpleasant for you. I cannot see a reason to harbor a grudge over a bad first impression. It is not as though you took up some sharp item and tried to stab me with it...." her voice became someone confrontational at the idea of that.
"As I just changed back, I will hold onto this form for the time being. But if perhaps sometime either of you would like a ride...I am more than capable of that." Though she probably could have given some shoulder rides as she was.

"Th-thank you!" Anna's eyes were bright with relief. "I won't shout at you again, I promise! Or scream, or... oh, dear, both of the times I've met you I've started by screaming, huh?" The witchling looked abashed. "Um, well... I'm Anna, um... start fresh?" she offered, almost shyly. She glanced over at the hound - Chaya - too, to make it clear she included her in that as well. The canine ghoul had kinda come to her rescue, after all! Shibey glared at the hound. < I am quite sure. > He took another few steps back. She was looming.

"That sounds like fun," Chaya said. "Your natural form is very big." She thumped her tail amiably and her tongue flopped out in a canine grin. "I'm not quite big enough to give rides." Her ears trembled slightly, attentive, as Shibey stepped back again. "But you're almost running away," she pointed out, quite reasonably, she felt.
