Day 1

Darkness always looms around the world of Halloween, unlike the days that he had witnessed in the Horsemen’s world. The day as most would call it was no different from night save for a dimly lit sky. The clouds, craggy and jagged, were like moving scars. While bats with malicious snarls and raised noses cut across them. The weather was no different. It was a little chilly, and it was dry. Leaves grow parched and cracked, and always falling, making a sea of brown and orange. The slimer moves through, blowing them to the side of the walkway.

El Greco had been absent from school for days. He had gone home to gather himself back together after the events with the Horsemen. He had lost a part of himself there like all the other students. But even his passion for art couldn’t sway his thoughts from the disaster. He had witnessed the loss of a student, violent actions of the boogeymen, and of course, and the loss of a civilization. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to return and face those demons again, but he did.

He found courage after hearing that the Horsemen, who had lost more than he, had been building a whole new world for themselves. The slimer wanted to rebuild. He was broken, and he had been building himself back up, and found that he was something else. He had grown into someone else.

The slimer grew up. He was a little larger with arms becoming a more prominent feature in his physique. His smile was present with a row of jagged little teeth. He wore a black naval inspired school uniform with the top buttons open. His pants were neat and pressed. His combat boots stood out; heavy, leather and bound by several belts. It was clean. It hasn’t touched the ground.

The ghost floated through the campus. His head up, and his eyes scouring the grounds, staring into the eyes of anyone he passed. He was looking not at them, but into and beyond those windows.
