ToB2 is coming to FEF, hosted once again by yours truly! Keeping in line with the suggestions made in a prior thread, the prize system has been revamped, new rules put into place, and balanced judging systems will be put in place. ToB2 is now a tournament system where everyone wins; a stepladder series of prizes that increases in (subjective) value as the tournament goes on!
This tournament will run from June 12, 2012 to August 26, 2012.
This is due to my own schedule. I refuse to host this tournament during the school year, unless someone wants to write my semester-long projects for me. (Even if you wanted to, I don't think I'd let you.)
Edit: You know what? I didn't explain what this is. That's awful silly of me.
For those of you unfamiliar with the acronym, ToB stands for Tournament of Bones, a fighting RP tournament I held a while back that was shut down due to bitchfests and poor management. Now that I've got an idea of what works and what doesn't (thanks to a feedback thread), I've decided to reopen the event while I still have the time and resources to do so. This second tournament addresses old issues while bringing in an influx of new ideas, prize ladders, and closing gaps that people thought were unfair or broken.
Important changes to note:
Strict posting deadlines will now be in effect. You have 72 hours to post since the prior post; posting orders will be decided at the beginning of the match.
The invisible point system for rewarding RPing creativity will remain. The grand prize for the point system is arguably just as awesome as the grand prize for winning the tournament, so don't worry if you're knocked out in the first round!
The RNG system will remain for choosing weapon themes and stage themes. No themes will be repeated over the course of the tournament- no stages will be taken from ToB 1, but some weapon themes have been carried over.
The mount system has been balanced.
The magic system has been reformatted.
The Skill system has been removed.
I've got three impartial judges for this tournament- Rath, Ninian, and Lyre. I always need two judges active at any given round, but be assured that all of the judges can compete- they just can't judge a round they are competing in.
No visible prize list, this time. This is to keep people from playing against the player. Keep scuffles and fights in-character, please!

Character Choices, Restrictions, and Changes. This is an exclusively FEF event. What does this mean? Only FEF characters- whether they're canon or OC- can be introduced into this tournament! Take a careful look at the canon character you chose when you hit those first 20 posts- that is one of the options you have.
There are a few rules to note, however...
Though I thought it would be obvious, only one character per player. This does not mean one character per account, since many of us know about OC mules running around in FEF. If I catch you cheating, your character will be disqualified, and I'll ban you from any future tournaments.
If your character has a Prf weapon, don't count on taking it with you. Same with Legendary weapons. In fact, don't count on taking any weapons in with you at all, unless your character is a Laguz.
Deity characters are prohibited. This list includes Leander (who straddles the line between divine and human), Loki, Ashera, Elimine, and any of the other Heroes in FE4, 6, or 7. The FEF Heroes are exempt from this rule, as they were human/laguz.
If you have a character that cannot fight, or only control a character on the prohibited list, you may choose any unclaimed character in the FEF canon character roster. Dancers/bards (not from FE4), Herons, tacticians, and non-laguz animals (you know who you are) may fall back on this rule, but only if you have no other characters to fall back on.
If an OC you plan to use hasn't been introduced somewhere in this guild, they're not applicable. Said OC must have appeared in OoC posts in the past, if they haven't RPed, or must have RPed in a thread that was at least semi-canon. Any OCs that were RPed at least once before this posting date can make the list of applicable characters.
Though this thread isn't canon, I can't stress this enough. If you don't want to deal with your character possibly dying- even if it's not canon- don't enter. Some people can't deal with when their characters die, while othres can. Accept death and defeat as an inherent risk, when you register.
Dead characters are perfectly acceptable. This isn't canon, after all. This also includes the Morphs. Of course, this was only if you played one of them. No new Morphs are to be made for this contest.

Weapon Rules:
Aha, so here's the best part of the tournament- the weapons you get to use to beat each other to a bloody pulp!
...Or not.
Part of the fun of this tournament is that I'm not going to tell you what you' have to fight with until you step into the ring. This post is my assurance that the weapons themselves will play a very large role in how the battle is played out.
Sometimes, bonus points are hidden in the way you use your weapon! Be creative, but be realistic. Expect some modifications to weapons you know and love. Your characters will not be given weapons they cannot use.
And for the love of god, read about the weapons I'll give you before you start to swing.
This tournament will test your ability to adapt to the utmost extent.
Special Cases:
For characters that use Wyverns, expect your mount to be muzzled for this event. In order to balance mount effectiveness in combat, the tearing teeth had to be removed from the equation.
The temperament for all mounts (wyvern, pegasus, and horses) will be discussed in the opening lines of the match. You might be surprised by what you see.
For magic users, expect to be allowed one tome per battle. Choose whether you prefer a tome that must touch your skin at all times (unlimited charges), or pages that you don't have to touch in order to create your spell (limited charges). Note that I said prefer; you may be forced to use one particular type, depending on the weapon restriction that is chosen for that round.
