The sun had yet to even rise the air was cool and damp even as Nirva set about making the small fire in a clear spot by the supply tent. It was good she cook out in the middle where others could join her for her morning tea. Perhaps a familiar face would wander by and say hello, maybe just maybe... Her blue eyes seemed to drift away from the small pile of kindling she had gathered before focusing back down as she struck the match lighting the small bundle.
With her fire started she rummaged through a small saddle bag on her side pulling out a small tea kettle and ingredients to being her morning rituals. She had yet to put her hair back in a ponytail, her helmet lay to the side as she worked setting up the kettle.
Sometimes keeping a routine was the best way to distract ones self from what was really the problem.

Even in the predawn light it seemed the clans' Halloween Town reserve quietly bustled with activity, Taomin observed, taking a quiet morning walk. It was nice, this reminder that not everything was gone, that they were rebuilding, slowly but surely. Worries and concerns still churned within her, but she could push them to the back of her mind, for now. Her eyes no longer focused on her surroundings as she followed the pathways around tents, mentally cataloging her day's workload.
However, a heavy and familiar smell interrupted her. Smoke? There was a small fire by one of the supply tents, where another young woman was unpacking a kettle. The elaborate helmet at her side suggested she was not from Min's clan, though. Not that that mattered anymore, she observed indifferently. They were all finally together, for better or worse. She gravitated toward the tiny flame unconsciously. She'd just run out of dried jasmine that morning...
"Excuse me," she began hesitantly, "I hope I'm not intruding."

Her fingers worked quietly and quickly, a water skin pulled from the same bag filled the kettle, a bag for leaves and spices was pulled forth and dipped carefully inside. Her mind went over the steps without missing a beat, do not spill a drop, get it all in the kettle and ready. As soon as this was done she started to clean up the spare parts tucking them into her bag when a voice suddenly cut her thoughts short.
Looking up a curtain of brown hair trailing over her shoulders Nirva reached into her bag one more time pulling out a cup to place across from the kettle closer to Taomin. "Not at all. I rather enjoy sharing a morning cup with others."

Taomin didn't exactly smile with relief, but her eyes crinkled a bit at the corners, and she bobbed her head. "Wonderful, that sounds...refreshing. Thank you." She moved to take a seat, folding her hands in her sleeves politely. This would be a nice start to the day, and hopefully shake off the nightmares she'd been experiencing of late. No, no night terrors and no strange whispers today. Perhaps just a little idle chatter, she had time before she was ready to begin sorting through today's project. But- she'd been sitting here pondering and hadn't even properly introduced herself.
She shook her head, to clear her mind a bit. "I'm Taomin, I don't believe we've met. It's nice to see others getting an early start. There is so much to do, and so little daylight." She said this last matter of factly. It wasn't exactly small talk- work was all she liked to talk about, so her tone was measured, and she blinked owlishly, reflecting on the other woman's work. So neat, so precise! It had been relaxing to watch. She accepted the cup gracefully, careful not to show too much skin, her fingertips just brushing the hem of her robe.

She smiled nodding, nothing more needed to be said. She didn't make a remark for the moment as she moved the steaming kettle pouring them each a single cup of the tea. Silence was actually just how she shared her tea usually, it was better that her and Lyra simply enjoyed the tea rather then talk. It often lead to bringing up a disagreement from earlier in the week.
"A pleasure Taomin." She placed the kettle back on the fire before offering a hand, "My name is Nirva." She raised her cup taking a long slow sip from the cup before nodding her head, "Not perfect, good though. It lacks the sound of the forges though..." She turned to the other horsemen shrugging slightly, "I rose early, my sisters and I to serve. We broke bread over tea while Lana was often still waking up. For me, this is my morning, the closest it can be to the past."

Taomin paused for a moment, then accepted the hand with obvious reluctance. Her own was greyed, and pitted with cracks and scars. Sipping her own cup somewhat nervously, she listened. "Yes, I usually take morning walks to clear my head, as I once did. But this is a welcome...diversion." She paused a moment. "The past... I am a scholar, and the past is my life study, but never more so than now, I'm afraid." She sighed, and took another sip. So much had changed.
"How do your...people...fare?" She supposed that was a little impolite, as they had been united as one clan, but some habits were hard to shake.

Nirva said nothing about the grey taint that twisted around her hands. They knew well enough what such was a sign of. There was no need to bring it up in detail. "We rose to the sounds of the forges. The work started early and we listened for the ringing when we would rise." She turned her tea cup around lifting it to sip.
"I am, a warrior. I served the Ashen Guards Ash Crows." She glanced about, "But we fight no battles right now. Only one to survive." The topic of clans came up and she stopped to think. "I.... am un-sure." She waved to the main tent, "The priestess go about their duties and try to bring order. The rest simply serve. And yours?"
