Rin was hanging out in the Canteen again, clearly her intent was not to eat. She was sitting at a table without a single bite of the disgusting slop that was being offered to keep her company.
Instead, her gaze was wandering about the room in search of anyone who might have been the slightest bit interested in her presence.

Sasha had been tooling around. She didn't want to go above ground, she didn't want to sit in the bunkers. She didn't really want to eat, but.. lack of anything better to do had Sasha shuffling into the canteen.
There was a Rin. A friendly face.
Sasha slumped down next to Rin, a small smile on her face.
"Hi."

Rin was honestly a little bit startled by the woman's sudden presence and greeting. She had honestly thought she'd be here looking for someone till she got too sleepy and had to turn in.
Giving Sasha a long lingering thoughtful look she finally smiled, "Hi, uhhh.... Sasha right? From Jerry's band tryout thing?"

"Well." Sasha's cheeks pinkened. "And um. From the uh. You .. the. Clarice's room, too, but." She leaned towards the other woman. "I wouldn't mind forgetting that whole.. ordeal myself."
Sasha fell silent for a moment, tilting her head to the side.
"Is everything okay?" It was a forward question, certainly, but.. well, Sasha was curious.

"I err... I actually enjoyed myself at that party." Rin shot Sasha a slightly bigger more genuine smile before her question caught her off guard a bit.
"Oh! I'm fine I just... well... you ever feel like you're surrounded by people but you're still incredibly lonely? Sorta like being thirsty on a boat out in the ocean." she forced a small little chuckle hoping to lighten the tension.
"Water water every-where and not a drop to drink~" her tone distinctly sing-song as she tried to pre-relieve any awkward her admitting that may have caused.

Sasha smiled sheepishly.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a good time," Sasha mumbled, shaking her head.
"And.. well. More than you'd think, actually. I didn't.. I didn't have a lot of friends growing up." She echoed Rin's little chuckle.
"I didn't.. I didn't have any friends, actually."

Rin double-took so fast.
"Me too." she confessed almost sounding too delighted that Sasha shared in her pain before checking herself and clearing her throat a little.
"I mean. I was kinda a nerd you know? Had to always get A's and it alienated everyone around me. I didn't mind at the time. I thought it was worth it." she frowned looking down at the table fleetingly before looking back at Sasha.
"What about you though? You seem nice and not nearly as shelled off as I was." she forced a meek little smile.

Sasha shrugged.
"Like. Well. Location, maybe. I guess. I was raised on a small farm in France, it was ah. It was pretty remote. Home-schooled, but like. Not traditionally. My papa focused mostly on um. Music. The arts."
Sasha peered over at Rin.
"So, I guess. Like, it wasn't by choice. It was mostly because ah.. I didn't know what ... what else was out there, if that um. If it makes sense. Not like... I don't know. It wasn't like I would leave papa even if I had known."

"Oh I see." she looked thoughtful a moment, "My dad raised me too."
She offered up a slightly bigger smile, "Not to that extent though."
"Is there a reason you're stuttering like Jerry's been lately?" she was quietly wondering about it but now its starting to bug her. Did everyone get brain damaged on that last mission or what?

Sasha's brow creased. That question had come out of the blue, and Sasha wasn't sure how to respond.
When she spoke, it was very slowly, each word enunciated with uncomfortable precision.
"No. I mean ... Well." She pressed her lips together.
"Sometimes it just ... it just happens."

"So it's always been like that?" she raised a brow leaning in. Completely unaware her questioning might be viewed as insulting.

Sasha leaned back when Rin leaned forward. She was feeling uneasy.
"Well."
Sasha blinked rapidly.
"Yes? Unless.. I mean, unless I.."
She cleared her throat.
"Unless I focus on it. On stopping it."

"It's okay you know. I just know Jerry wasn't doing that before." she admitted, "He didn't seem to stop at all until he seemed to feel better so I was starting to think it was related to something serious."
She leaned in a bit more conspiratorially, "Like you guys were hiding serious injuries or somethin'."

"Oh, no." Sasha gave a strained laugh.
"It's more of a.. a nervous thing, I guess. It's.. it's easy to feel overwhelmed sometimes, I guess. All this ... all the crazy things that happen, you know?"
Sasha shrugged.
"Do you like. Do you not have any, ah.. nervous habit?"

"I like to organize things." it was an understatement. Her room had to be kept just so and even when it came to eating there had to be some order to it. Her mind drifting back to Julies cake and how each colour just had to be eaten one at a time in a specific order. Still, she wasn't intending to elaborate on any of this unless directly asked.
"Which is hell because almost everything in this place is nailed down or has a serious purpose and I might lose a finger for ******** with peoples' s**t." she nodded.
