THE WEEPING FOREST

The Weeping Forest:

- Roll a 100-sided dice each time you post. Match your dice roll to the results below as to what you find. Make sure to RP out the post. You can work with someone else as well, so each of you can obtain max 10/15 items (depending on your job class)
- You can only rp here with other Lost Clans members. This will still take place in the MAIN section of the guild where all the rp goes however!
- Occasionally you will hear ??? noises. It seems minipets are pretty common in the area! You can summon any minipets your horsemen has carried with them/ found/ etc etc (or even found in the forest, as it is abundant with minis) to help you around in this area/ look for supplies/ etc etc. Unlike students, Lost Clans members use minis as tiny workers, and will only summon them as necessary and less so of a vanity item.
- Once you are done, don't forget to claim points here

- 1- 10: Thick branches
- 11- 20: Wispy leaves (easily flammable)
- 21- 30: Large hollow tree (dead)
- 31 - 40: Tree bark
- 41 - 50: Sticky tree sap
- 51 - 60: Bones from dead minipets
- 61 - 70: Dry moss
- 71 - 80: Pine needles
- 81 - 90: Large slab of stone
- 91 - 100: Simple clay

The noises of the forest were soothing to the horsewoman as she trailed through the gnarled roots swiftly. There was no need to ask her to gather supplies twice, she was already the mission as soon as she'd heard it was time. With the deafening silence of broken spirits and the far too close sounds of the nearby creatures, Iyari had not slept or had a relaxing moment. She was grateful for the chance to slip away, perhaps to find something nostalgic while being useful. The thought was comforting though she doubted its accuracy as nothing was ever truly simple.

Perhaps out here she could find similar tools and materials. She snorted at the thought while rounding a large, decrepit tree while twisting branches. It was a quick glance which did not move to lift her spirits over the task at hand. Certainly things here were useful to some degree. Focusing again she bent down over a sodden area, twisting her head to scour the ground. Quelling her urge to roll her eyes over the state of the forest floor she reached out an arm, grabbing a few large branches which the trees above felt inclined to let go of. "Hmph." Iyari grunted, while turning the wood over in her hands a few times. It was nothing of home, not the feel nor the smell, she questioned its ability to perform even half as well.

She shook her head and opened her sack, placing the thick branch inside. Even with its flaws it was sure to come in handy for some purpose. With a flick of her head she felt the familiar feathers move through the air. Calming as it was, there was no time for it and with a few bounds was off again - only to be abruptly stopped by a strange rustling sound. It was immediate to move into a defensive position as her training had taught her. Adrenaline pushed through her while she surveyed her surroundings. Was it prey? An enemy? A glint moved through her eyes and she ducked low, in wait.

One thing was for certain - whatever lay ahead of her would regret moving towards her.

It hadn't been duty or the idea of scavenging that had sent Senga into the woods.

The young executioner propelled himself through the forest with wide, gaping leaps, the snap of wings and rustle of feathers enough to give one the idea of how. The fur wrapped around his shoulders fed him warmth, but still he felt restless. Back home, he could escape to the jungles, where only the beasts and occasional clan-member lurked. Here, "home" was a crowded reserve where the only place of escape either lay in the forests or in the air. And as much as Senga enjoyed flight, he did not think he could keep himself hovering up there for long enough to calm his nerves.

It was only an after-thought to begin scavenging for materials, and bending his knees, the boy vaulted upwards into the air, landing on a solid, thickly knotted tree branch overlooking the forest floor. Where the jungles of War had been dense with foliage, the Weeping Forest was different in too many ways for the executioner to count. Different, but still easy to read. Senga crouched and listened to the sounds of the forest, his head tilted upwards to the murky haze above the tree tops that served as their "daytime." The rustle of minipets somewhere in the undergrowth roused his attention, alongside the low whistle of wind and the eery emptiness the forest seemed to hold. Raising himself onto his feet again, Senga leapt forward to the next tree and began to climb upwards for a higher vantage point.

The feel of something sticky on his fingertips stopped him however, and pulling himself up, the horseman peered at the bark of the old tree, and more importantly the sap bubbling outwards from it. Rustling around for a scavenged flask, Senga waited patiently for the sap to drain into the scratched little thing before tucking it away and ruffling his wings, turning back to the forest floor below, kissing his fingers clean of the stickiness. Sounds came from all directions, scents following them as well. Where to go next, where to go next?

The sound of something foreign - someone foreign - roused Senga's attention to the shadows below, and the horseman crouched in wait, molten gold tracking the movement from beneath a silver hood. But slowly, his eyes widened at the sight of red hair, and seafoam eyes. He would know those eyes anywhere. His wings extended outwards sharply, but Senga caught himself a moment from a reckless departure to the floor below. He knew that crouch, that glint. Iyari was waiting for something to attack her, and he could be damned well certain she would attack it - or him - right back. His wings curled slightly, feathers quivering. A part of him said to go down. But another part buzzed up from the indiscernible voices in his head, all whistling nonsense and backwards conversations that didn't make sense.

Why would she want to see you? How much help are you to the clans? She's better off alone --

Senga shook them away and closed his wings completely, beginning a quiet descent downwards. He had practice swinging through the branches, sticking close to shadows and never making noise that could give him away. Landing on the dead leaves in a crouch, Senga lifted his head and watched his sister, pressing the palms of his hands to the ground and feeling the chill beneath. He could see her exposed back, the dark silhouettes of her wings. She was rather hard to miss in a crowd, much less a forest after all, what with her bright red hair and ornate style of dress. Senga took a moment to feel the relief at her being alive, at having survived. And then --

She doesn't want to see you, she doesn't need you, want you, love y -

And then he pounced, and tackled his sister to the ground.

Normal greetings were overrated, after all.

Heightened senses were nothing in the face of falling bodies.

A roar from deep within erupted from the horsewoman as something collided quickly, derailing all but a tiny portion of her ability to stand - which vanished all too soon given the force with what she was hit. Tear. Stab. Kill. The words moved through her mind in a loud thunder. This white beast was going to die.

Iyari blinked as she moved to claw her way free and her bright eyes caught sight of something. The clacking of skulls against each other, the scent of wolf and feathers and those bright yellow eyes. If it be a trick of the forest, so help her she would burn the entire thing down to the ground. Staying her hand, Iyari felt her heart nearly jump from her chest as the scents hit her at once. Nothing in all of existence could replicate that scent. It came back quickly and all too familiarly she grabbed hold of a hood with an arm, clenching around the body in a firm embrace.

"Little Wolf." Her voice cooed though remained jaded with an edge of scolding.

Truly her brother was astounding - few could get the drop on her and fewer still could extract an emotional response which included direct contact. Iyari felt her embrace tighten and she released quickly, jabbing a knuckle into his forehead with a quick thrust. It was an old gesture of days long past as children but even she couldn't resist from such an old tradition. No words came from her while she sized him up quickly, but there was no such fuss in her vocabulary to fret over him verbally.

"I would expect no less of you." She said, quietly with a nod of her head. Internally she was screaming in happiness, elated with the sight of him and eternally grateful of his survival capabilities.

She shook her head. "I apologize." Iyari began with a flick of her head, feathers bouncing on her head. "There are no words for this, Senga.." Her voice dropped at his name, but still held force. True happiness could exist, and this was one of those moments.

Senga winced at the ear-shattering roar that Iyari left out; he'd not forgotten his sisters tenacity in battle, but she was indefinitely loud no matter whether she was facing a hunter or a falling body. The wolf jerked back a little when the redhead turned to him, expecting a blow or some sort of retaliation; his body tensed and loosened almost immediately afterwards when Iyari jerked him into a hug. Sighing quietly, he inhaled her scent, the familiarity washing over him like a drug, flushing his system of insecurities for one pure moment.

She doesn't want you.

The voices returned as soon as they had gone, static in his ears and poison in his bones. His eyes closed, wings rustling restlessly against his sides. "Yes, hello." He rumbled in return to the age old nickname, extending his wings to wrap around her in an armless hug. The wolf had years of practice in sneaking up on his sister, and on her sneaking up in return. He remembered them training as young horsemen without titles, still running rampant in the jungle that once had been their home. Now it was just a memory, bittersweet and blurred at the edges.

The young adult's eyes opened immediately to the knuckle jab, and Senga ruffled his wings, reaching on to bump the offending hand. Frowning at the words, he shook his head, lowering the wingtip and rumbling quietly. "I am out of practice." He said with a note of self-criticism. But then again, there'd been little time to practice ever since... moving to the reserve. At the words, the young executioner shook his head and lifted himself, pulling Iyari up with him. "There don't need to be," He said quietly, stepping back from his sister and looking out at the forest surrounding them.

It felt like home again for a split second, with Iyari by his side and the depth of greenery all around. It felt like home... but then the voices came like static and he remembered just where he was.

Her bright eyes never left him even as he seemed to nearly shrink in front of her at his own critical statement. Intrigued, Iyari tilted her head from one side to the other. As she often studied her prey before the kill she found herself analyzing her own brother. With a hum she dismissed it, moving near him in a comforting radius. There was no need to coddle him, there never had been, but here there was something different, something darker.

Something he probably wouldn't bother telling her.

With a quick jab at his carrying bag with a hand she moved into a grin. "I see we had a similar idea." She said, her voice moving back into a sort of competing nature. Inwardly she would love nothing more than to stand in the forest with that nostalgic feeling of comfort - but there was nothing productive in it.

With a snort she moved onward, moving over a branch and reaching down over it and pulling up bark off of it. There was a sideways grin sent back towards the young executioner and she hopped near him, flapping her wings wildly as she landed. There was a glint in her eye and she stood over him with a deep stare.

"I'm sure I could get more than you." Iyari said cooly. Blood was pumping through her veins and their eyes met. This was like old times. And the perfect way to pull him out of this. With a swat of her wing towards Senga she nudged him on with a nod.
