Valen: -He had heard through the paper, orginally. Then stories reached his young ears. Stories of a village that was dying, that had been inflicted with an illness none had ever seen before. Then the letters with requests arrived. He had always wanted to be a doctor, and now the chance had arrived. He never needed medical school, for he had the easy route. His necklace would heal those that needed it, and he would save lives. This had always been a dream of his, since he was just a small child. Now, someone had heard of this very pendant and fox and was requesting his assitance, and he was more than happy to respond.
However, he was unsure what to do about Hilaria. She didn't seem to get around much, and, they had always spent their time visiting one another. Could he just vanish for weeks, maybe months and do so without batting an eye? No... He didn't think so. So here he was, awaiting before her home, having just knocked. His hand was still lifted, eyes narrow with concetration.-
Hilaria: She had been working all day making cookies for everyone that lived with her. it was a big task, really when you had tons of noodles going in and out of the kitchen. Orion bugging her ever second wondering if they were done. But at alas she had just finish and made her round around each room handing them out to each noodle that live under the same roof as her. She hadn't had time to even take a light bath when she hear a small knock at the door.
She gave a light smiled and gently walked over and open the door to her little Valen. She cocked her head slightly, wondering what brought him here. Most of the time they would tell each other when and where to meet, so this was unusual, indeed. Nether less she smiled and gave him a huge big. "Valen! What are you doing here? I wasn't expecting you. I would have clean up..." She smiled and looked to the ground. She had all but forget that she was cover in flour when she gave him a hug and hoped more then anything that he wasn't mad.
Valen: Startled, he hadn't expected her to be covered in flour when she opened the door. However, he didn't show any signs of annoyance, merely checking himself briefly before nodding. "Clean up? I do not mind the way you are." He mused, brushing flour off. His eyes raised, narrowing gently, his signature frown on his lips. She looked busy, yet, he was here for a reason. His eyes viewed the house behind her. She had many family members, similar to his own. Though, his was simply all his siblings and his parents.
"I wanted to ask you something." He mused finally. "Though, perhaps this is a bad time?"
Hilaria: She smiled and nodded her head. She should of know that Valen wouldn't of been mad, he was almost never mad. Actually, she had never seen him mad, maybe that wasn't one of his emotions? "Well I'm glad that you don't mind the mess, I just made cookies for the whole house so it was a big mess." She said with a hint of laughter. She smiled and then gently tapped his nose. "Hey stop that. No frowning, silly!" she paused for a second and perk her ears slightly. "I'm sorry! Please come in please" She said almost shoving him into her house.
She flicked her tail and smiled again. "Sure, no I'm fine. We can sit in the living room on the couch, if you liked. It's right over her." She pointed to the small room with he little red couch and tv set.
Valen: Cookies? Perhaps that was the sweet scent he had smelled earlier. The tap on his nose made him blink, rubbing the itchy nose before attempting to flatten his frown as best as possible. Her slightly friendly aggression to get him inside didn't startle him much, however his eyes did widen briefly when he found himself almost surrounded by the scent of cookies. It was startling, though it made him feel more at home.
"Thank you, Hilaria, for inviting me into your home." He turned to her, giving a polite nod of his head before glancing at the little red sofa, heading for it quietly. His eyes did not drift around the room, unsure if it would be rude. Instead, he settled down and looked up, golden eyes locking with hers.
Hilaria: She smiled sweetly and bounced after him. He was so serious, yet she really enjoy his company. She let out a small giggle and sat right next to him, placing her tail on the other side to make sure not blood would get on him. She tilted her head and then let out a small squeak. "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask but would you like a cookie? I could put in the freezer for a second since you enjoy cold food." She said smiling into his golden eyes.
Valen: Her little happy bounces always made him blink for a second. They were polar opposities, yet Valen did not dislike that. He had never minded her, in fact, he seemed to favor her more than other foxes. He was not a fox that often visited others, either forgetting to or simply finding something else to do. However, Hilaria had special times set aside for her, and while he often was quietly allowing her to dominate a converstation or to her general bouncy self he was content.
This time, though, it was his turn to dominate a converstation. Raising his head, a polite, awkward smile touched his lips, something done more out of being polite than anything else. He always found it difficult smiling, it never was in his nature, even when he was happy. "You remembered." He commented. Glancing towards the kitchen, he nodded faintly. "If it does not trouble you. I have not tried your baking before, I would like the chance."
Hilaria: She let out a small squeak and pull her friend into a hug. "You smiled! You actually smile" She said with a giggle and then perk her ears. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean that in a bad way...I mean I was just surprise because I never seen you smile and we hang out a lot but this time you did! Maybe I should ask you about food more often and then I can seen that wonderful smile of yours. It's nice you know. You should do it more often...I mean...if you want too...." She look down and flicked her tail. Something she knew that she spoke too much but she hope this one of those time Valen would just do his usual head movement and just sway it away.
She smiled got up quickly and went to the kitchen. She place a few cookies on a saucer and placed them on in the freezer. She moved away and waved to him from the kitchen and giggle. She hoped that this wasn't taking to look. She flicked her tail and looked around and then grab the cookies. She giggle and gave a small shiver. They were ice cold and she hope that he would enjoy that. She giggle again and moved back to the couch and light place the saucer on his lap. "Enjoy!' She said with a small giggle.
Valen: The swift movement and collision of her warmth surprised him, blinking at her, as always. "You would like me to smile more?" Thoughtfully, he nodded, though didn't comment further. He was lost in thought briefly, lips becoming a frown, as usual, before he was pulled from his thoughts when Hilaria moved. She waved and he nodded, curiously looking about finally.
When she returned with a cold cookie he raised it to his mouth, content when the cool baked good passed his lips. Really, why did people like hot things? When he chewed, swallowed, and peered at the rest he nodded, looking up. "It is very good."
Hilaria: She sighed. What kind of question was that. If she reacted the way she did, wouldn't he realize that she enjoyed when others smiled then frowned. Yet, it didn't bother her too much and she just gave out a small giggle. "You're a silly fellow, Valen." She sat happily as she watch him eat, waiting for a good respond. Her cooking was good and she knew it. Everyone in the house enjoy when she cook so he had to enjoy them too, right?
"Great! I'm glad you like it! Now what did you come to talk about" She said blinking at him with a smile.
Valen: Nodding, he watched her quietly, grip tightening on the cookie he still had. Chewing on it some more, he considered his options before speaking. Finally, looking up, he sighed lowly.
"I am going over-seas." He mused. "Tomorrow." His hand touched his necklace faintly as he spoke. "There is a village ridden with an illness, and I can help them. It will take awhile to reach there on a boat, and I promised to get my baby sister a present. I...." He paused, looking at her again. "Would you like to come with me?"
Hilaira: She blinked unsure what to say after taking in all the news. He was leaving, yes, but he wanted her to come also? This was different, very different. Most people wanted her to leave because she was too annoying or her blood just got int he way, but he wanted her to come. Did that mean he liked her? Where they best friends now and she could tell him anything and everything and he wouldn't take it as a grain of salt. She squeezed her eyes shut unsure what to say. She huffed and then looked at him. "You're confusing Valen. One second I think you dislike me and then the next you spring this on me. Are we goof friends now that you're asking me to come?" she stated unsure what to do here.
Sometimes she just thought the brown fox only came because he wanted the company and the social interaction of her. But this was different now, he ask her to come and not the other way around. She paused to look on the situation. Well no one would care if she was gone, right? Her mother and father lived in the same house together and had all but forgotten her when she left for a new home. She sighed and looked up to him. "I would love to go little Valen. I don't see if I could be any help but I guess I could cook for us? Are we...um staying together...then?" she muster out, unsure how to pull it. "Should I pack something?" This was all new to her. She had never really left her house unless to me...him...or Valen.
Valen: "You thought..." His voice trailed off, throat tightening. Of course she thought that. He wasn't good with people, wasn't good with emotions. He was the type based on facts and speaking only when he needed too, nothing more. Pausing in thought, he was cut off when she spoke again, head and eyes raising.
"We can stay together if you like. The boat will have seperate rooms, and the village will probably have rooms we can split into, to give you privacy. If you'd like to cook, you can. As far as I know, their is only one chef on the boat, and they want to hire another. Perhaps you can join him?"

She sighed. He wasn't getting the point. Most of the time, she always ask someone to come sleep with her at night because she was so cold and yet she remember how he hated hot thing and shook away the thought. She looked at him and looked away. "Good! I wouldn't want to be too far away from you. Plus this way I can check up on you. I don't want you to get in trouble or anything." she said smiling back at him.
When he said she could cook it pleased her. This would be a brilliant way to show off her skills and she would enjoy that greatly. She just hoped that other didn't mine a few drops of blood. "Well great! It's settle, I'm going!" she said as a cheer.

A sigh. "You sighed." He mentioned, though mentally bashed himself. Of course she knew she sighed, she was the one to do it. Glancing away, he flicked his tail around his form. "I assume it is about the living arrangements. Or perhaps cooking. We can share a room, if you prefer. Also, the cooking isn't forced. I'd never force you to do anything." He glanced her way, sincere in his words. At her cheer he blinked, eyes wider than usual before once more narrowing.
"Good." Nodding, he looked around, then back at her. "Pack well, but not heavy. We leave tomorrow." He paused, looking up, for once looking as if he was nervous. "I.... bought your ticket already."

"Yes I did." she said giggling a little bit. She looked away as he spoke again, unsure what to say. Of course she wanted to share a room with him but that meant asking him to sleep by her side and keep her warm. Most of them time she have little Prince come sleep by her side. He was indeed one of her good friends and she always had someone near her to keep her warm but it was different with him. He was the opposite. He hate the heat while she loved it and this made he sigh, unsure what to say. She open her mouth and them paused and shook her head. "It's fine really." she said in a soft smile.
She smiled and nodded. "I don't have too much so it shouldn't be that hard." She watch him and wonder why he was showing so much expression lately. Maybe she was rubbing off on him. "Well great! then we won't have to worry about it!" she said in a light giggle.

Nodding, he glanced back at her, calm once more. She was so happy, it almost made him want to smile. Yet, he didn't. Instead, he rose slowly, his back cracking. The taller male bowed his head slightly towards Hilaria, looking about.
"Thank you for inviting me into your house, it is lovely. I am honored. Tomorrow, I will return around this time to pick you up." Pausing, his brain searched what else he was supposed to say.
"Have a wonderful evening, Hilaria."

She smiled and waved goodbye. "Bye Valen! Have a goodnight rest" she said in respond to him.

Hilaria moved quickly around her room, fixing everything up. She was packed but she worried that it was either too much or not enough, which bugged her to now end. What if Valen came and frown and said that it was too much, then she would feel bad about saying that she had to much or what if he came and said that it was too little and then she would look like a fool who didn't know how to pack. She sigh and grabbed the bag in hopes that it was good. She carefully went downstairs and sat on the couch they were on yesterday waiting for her best friend to come to the door.

He carried a small bag with him, though Valen didn't need much. He only needed his necklace, and Hilaria. As he reached the door he wondered, briefly, if she was prepared. He had heard rumors of women packing too much and he was curious if this was true or some stupid story. Either way, if she could carry it on her back without whining about it being heavy then he assumed it was good enough. He should remind her to bring water, just in case when they hike to the village their water went out.
Worry fluttered in his chest. What if she was harmed? Was this a bad idea? Valen had fretted over this, but it was far too late now. Raising his hand, he knocked on the door, glancing at the sun.

She gasped as he knock on the door. There he was, waiting for her to come to the door and to leave her home for sometime. She let out some air and grabbed her bag and went to the door. She lightly place it next to her and open the door.
Her face brighten up just a bit as she saw her best friend and gave him a huge hug, even though she was so nervous. She let out some more air and smooth down her dress. She smiled again and twirl her thumbs. "well I guess it's time to go?" she spoke with a small squeak.

At the hug, the male stiffened, looking away. A hug was still strange for him, he wasn't accustomed to such friendly gestures, though he didn't mind. Not at all. Viewing her and raising an eyebrow at the tone of her voice, he nodded.
"Are you scared?" He questioned, his own, quiet way of worrying. "Hilaria, don't force yourself. If this frightens you...." He trailed off, uncertain what more to add, and so he stopped. Was she scared? Was she afraid of what could happen? He wanted to stop her, suddenly, he wanted to make sure she was safe and happy.
Yet, his heart dropped. He... wanted her to come. Why? It was new, having a friend along. He liked the feeling of bringing a friend places, though he'd never express this.

Yushika I'm so so so so sorry for the wait! It might be a better idea to rp this back in skype because I tend to forget about about LN guild rps and like never rp them/drop them. So if you want movement in this rp, I suggest maybe back in skype. lD Again sorry for the long butt wait.
She gently moved around and lightly nuzzled his maw. "Valen... please don't worry about me. I'm more worried about you and it would break my heart if I didn't go and you got hurt in some way. I would rather be there even if I'm scare to help you then loss you." she said in a quiet voice.

Valen stepped backwards slightly, eyes widening. "Wait. How would I get hurt? You do know I can heal, right?" As if to remind her, he lifted the pendant around his necklace, blank face viewing her with concern. "I won't ask if you're certain again, so, if that is your answer then I will grab your things and we will go. And no, you may not carry your stuff. That is my job." He wasn't sure exactly why he felt the need to be this kind, or hell, act like a proper gent. He only acted this way with his mother and sisters. Other women were of no interest to him. Except Hilaria, though even she seemed to get his bad sides at times.
"Also. I want to warn you. Where we are going has plaque. I am not sure how someone already...." He paused, breaking off, unsure if she would respond viciously. "....would deal with this. I am worried for your body."

She looks down unsure what to say, she holds up a paw and let it drop it gently. "I'm not sure Valen. I'm just...never mind. You're right. You won't get hurt." she says lightly really unsure what to do at the moment. She shakes her head flustered. "Valen! I can do that myself." she looks at him and puts her paws on her hips. "It's not your job silly. I'm a young lady that can take care of herself." she says moving to him and bopping his nose. She sighed and just let him go because she knew there was no stopping him. She dislike that about him. He was just so stubborn even if he was not right. She had to work on that if they were going to be together on the trip for a long time.
She laughed a bit and looked at him. "Valen, I'm dead and I'm coming back alive. My body is decaying as we talk. Please don't worry about me, I'm the least of your problems. If anything you have to worry about is the people fearing me because of my body." she stated.

Valen stopped in his movement to try and grab her things, or at least slip past her. He froze, eyes flicking to lock on her. 'My body is decaying as we talk.' How long did she have? When would her body finally crumble and she'd be nothing more than bones and clothes? What would he do then? Not even his damn pendant could heal that. He couldn't stop time.
".... Ah. As you wish. There's a car around the corner. I'll be waiting there." The blank male for once showed an expression, for a brief second. Fear. He pressed backwards, nodding once more, more to himself than her, and made his way off her porch. He hadn't liked what she said, at all. It frightened him. Scared him beyond belief, yet he wasn't exactly sure /why/. He didn't want her to fall apart. But didn't everyone die? She was already dead, though, and how long would it take for the body to decay? Would he be dead by then? Or would he still be alive and watching as his best friend crumbled and fell to the floor in nothing more than scraps of her former self?
